    If avoiding ejaculation can extend lifespan 1:01:30 , does that explain why married men tend to live longer than single men...? ; ) asking for a friend lol

    • @Subs1338
      @Subs1338 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, what makes you think married men ejaculate more?

    • @Bpjames
      @Bpjames 7 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      I don't - and I'm married, so I don't ejaculate all that much...so I'm hoping for a nice, long, unsatisfactory life. If you have to explain a joke, it kinda sucks the life out of it.

    crapsules. I am interested but if you do that, you need to know who the donor is and what their over-all personality is, on top of the medical concerns. It's been shown that personality types are in large part attributed to the personality of the gut/intestinal population.

    1:47 -- person to punch re: nutrition in the US: Kelloggs. They funded the bad egg cholesterol study, and I'm sure they''ve done more. Instead of a punch -- see "The Road to Wellville" with Matthew Broderick -- Its funny and awesome if you think about Kelloggs role in 'health' during US history.

    This has been the 2nd interview with Peter Attia that I've listened to - the first was a year or so ago with Tom Bilyeu, and now this... Both of these conversations really altered the way I think about and approach health and wellness. Now that I think about it, it planted the seeds which later on inspired me to design a fitness program to address and improve my own state of being. Thank you so much for this, both Tim and Peter - for such great synergy making the information really "Digestible"... pun intended. Thanks again y'all ✌✌✌

    Everytime I listen to one of your shows I end up laughing till I have tears coming out of my eyes! "WHAT IF I GO BLIND? WHAT DID I JUST DO? IF I PUKE THIS STUFF UP...I'M GONNA HAVE TO LICK UP MY PUKE AND THIS STUFF...YOU COULDN'T DESIGN SOMETHING THAT TASTES THIS BAD". **dies laughing** I listened to it several times. His delivery is hysterical!

    1:50 -- Fatty liver disease -- I'm glad to see you considering things scientifically -- It would have been nice to hear Robert Lustig mentioned for his theory on Fructose. Let's see if your experiment agrees with the awesome logic he used in his presentation: Sugar: The Bitter Truth.

    This is incredible content and it should have millions of views not 10k. Amazing that 99.9% of the population would rather see a video about what outfit Kim Kartrashian wore than to worry about nutrition and cutting edge science.

      you just descibed my friend who is suffering from a serious level of metabolic syndrome but still insists on eating pasta and doesn't seem to believe most of what i tell her regarding diet, keto, sugar, etc etc. she's a nurse and im guessing because of her time and money invested in school believes the stuff they still teach, eat lots of whole grains and low fat etc etc. i'm at my wits end, i have no idea how to get her to see the truth.. perhaps the truth is she would rather just pop a bunch of pills from the doctor as long as she thinks it'll still allow her her fettucini alfredo :\

    • @justaddmusclecom
      @justaddmusclecom 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +evancush It is really hard for most people to accept such a radical concept. It took me many years to finally come to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the dietary guidelines and the way we where being told was the right way to eat. I spent a good part of my life studying nutrition and biology and the information is just so outdated and twisted that its hard to learn what is right from wrong. For me 8 months being Keto and getting blood work done was all the proof I needed to stay the course permanently.

      It's not so simple. I found most people don't have the intellectual curiosity to be open minded about a new concept, and changing their diet is like messing with their religion. I have friends and families that I tried very hard to present or even discuss the keto science with, but these intelligent people (with masters, PhD, etc) simply tune me out. It is the most frustrating thing to see my loved ones keep doing very damaging things to their bodies despite obvious metabolic symptoms, but I'm unable to influence them no matter how I approach them. These people also depend on the standard medical care that only treat symptoms with toxic drugs mostly to no avail, and completely dismiss any alternative preventative therapies as if they're trendy cult-practices that mess with their, again almost religious, belief in the standard medicine. It's absolutely maddening, and I'm talking about my own loved ones!

      I know exactly how you feel and you are 100% correct, it is extremely frustrating. I have been blessed enough to have a really suportive wife that is as much into biohacking and better health through nutrition and preventive measures as I am. We are always researching and trying to learn new information as it surfaces. My Mom and Dad luckily have both converted into eating better and making better choices and their blood work is looking a million times better and so is their health.

    Why can't these interviewers and guests not make this a respectful, and professional program by not constantly throwing in all the boring, unintelligent profanity?

    • @ArtOfHealth
      @ArtOfHealth 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brook Graves Does profanity cover ignorance? I watch men that cuss quite a bit. I also use profanity unnecessarily. They are frustrated under-achievers and harbor great resentment toward themselves for not learning how to be more eloquent and use the English language properly. It is a poor excuse to say I cuss because cussing helps me get peoples' attention. Cussing draws attention to the powerless unintelligent points I am trying to make. Really? Oh well, I too must change. Thank you for the reminder🙂. Live long and stay healthy!

    eating more calories than you expend does not necessarily lead to weight gain. the laws of thermodynamics do not apply to metabolism. I love Peter attia, but I was disappointed to here him talk about the the calories in calories our argument as if it is a fact. taubes and many others have shown the problem with this line of thought

    Could it be caloric restriction increases longevity because you are not expending and taxing vital Life energy in assimilation, digestion Etc..Hence the euphoric feeling when fasting,. At the end of the day we are energy and we have a finite amount of it, especially so, if that primary fact goes unknown.. Increasing this root energy is the focus of all the ancient practices. If you play with the gross level, things ie. like food and blood , you are splashing around ankle deep in a collossal ocean of power. The subtle energy is closer to its source and its depths are unlimited. This talk is impressive but the complexity doesn't mean it is worth full devotion as you can read the undertone, there is a strong sense of uncertainty in all of the temporary assertions. The irony is the best thing Peter could do for himself and his unending search is the very thing he would rather die doing. Which is, sit in a dark room for 1oo yrs. That is a little levity but kinda not.

  • @77goats

    Yes, absolutely exceptional. I got one question for both of you though.. How come you don't deal with the fact that sugars and hybrid carbohydrates are totally addictive man made stimulant drugs that we are all addicted to right along with caffeine and alcohol and nicotine. All of which are in the same realm as cocaine and amphetamines.. Powerful addictive man made stimulant drugs.. How come..

    • @joeschmo5699
      @joeschmo5699 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How come vegans tend not to talk about how addictive and dangerous sugar is(and refined carbohydrates are? and how these are unnatural and synthesized?) How come?

    • @joeschmo5699
      @joeschmo5699 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, regarding alcohol.... it's fermented from sugar and reduces fructose content. From here, fermented foods appear to have a health benefit. In the case of alcohol, it appears to reduce sugar, which is a good thing.
      Fermentation is a form of food processing that is generally good for humans.
      I would put spirit alcohols in the same, highly refined, category as sugar and therefore problematic.

      Yeah, cellular carbs. Nothing wrong with them. But you guys tend to give a free pass to flour and sugar because they are "plant-based." There is a silence of criticism on that score, so I've observed.
