    I rode my motorized bike to day for the first time today, it fired right up and held together nicely. I got 300$ into the build and it was worth every penny.

    This is awesome. The guy that sells bikes here in Tucson doesn't seem to care about servicing them at all. This and a $5 cable from Amazon just saved me a ton of time. Thank you!

    The clutch is so incredibly stiff that it takes two hands squeezing as hard as possible to engage it. There is no way my son will be able to operate the clutch. Any way around this?

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you tyrwap the cable to the frame w/ some tight bends? That would make it hard to operate

    • @cbifilms1
      @cbifilms1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HughesMotorized I avoided tight bends, and it was stiff before I tie wrapped the cable. I even find it very difficult to push the throttle handle itself. It hurts with a bare hand, seems incredibly stiff. I was almost thinking of extending the throttle handle a few inched to give more leverage.

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pull the cover of the engine and see if the mechanism is actuating when you pull in on the lever. I've never seen a kit with a hydraulic clutch however I've worked on them on cars . Same thing. You actuate the clutch and a piston pushes on the clutch shaft

    What should I do if the clutch arm itself it way too stiff and stays in position ? I don't even how the wire in the arm yet because there's no way it will give enough force to move the arm. The clutch itself is also not stuck and probably too loose at this point, but the arm is stiff.

      The clutches are often stuck when new. I'll pull in clutch to disengage and push bike forward dragging the wheel and sit down hard on seat. This usually breaks the clutch pads loose and the clutch works fine.

    Hey man, I need help, I'm doing this with my dad for the first time and I ordered it from some Chinese company with horrible instructions, we managed to get all the way to clutch assembly, but regardless of whether the clutch is depressed or not, when we pedal we hear the piston moving up and down inside...this doesn't seem right. Any idea what the problem is?Ps. Even when we manually push the clutch arm in, it makes no observable difference.We would really appreciate help, we're on a time crunch, before I leave for college.Thanks again.

      The Clutch is stuck. Very common on these motors. You can try rmoving the sprocket cover and striking the pin that disengages the clutch with a hammer. be careful you do not lose the pin that goes into the shaft. If that does not work, you will need to remove the clutch cover and tap on the clutch assembly cover inside. don't hit it too hard so you dent the cover but give it some good hits. If that does not work you will need to loosen the screw inside and adjust the clutch. there are videos on how to do that
