My understanding to the Arya and Nymeria scene is that Arya first says in season 1 "thats not me" when Ned told her that as a Lady she would wear dresses and marry a prince. Not her path. Her comment towards Nymeria is acknowledging that she is now a free wolf with her own pack and not as a "pet".
Everytime I watch that Cold Open to Season 7 I get so fired up, its like I am watching it for the first time. The music at the end is epic! "Leave One Wolf alive and the sheep are never safe" one of the best lines as well. Brilliant!
Martin and we may have wanted 10 seasons for proper story...but Martin should have stopped eating cheeseburgers and working on other projects and going to parties to toot his own "brilliance" and finished the material so that DnD didn't have to make it up. Don't get me wrong I enjoy Martin's work bit he definitely is one of these that once the show took off and he got actual fame from more than just book readers kinda of went "hehe look at me" and then proceeded to basically tour just to talk about himself rather than finish what made people care about him in the first place. Perhaps they should have waited until the books were finished in the first place. -shrug-
@@theIronwolf1984 Glad someone else sees this. Martin is partial to blame for what we got at the end of the show. He won't ever finish the books before he is dead. I've come to reason with that though.
@StinkyGreenBud oh absolutely. Even if DnD had been decent writers it's kind of silly to expect other people to finish ones work and have it even resemble what was started by the original author...yes it has been done bit it's almost always extremely messy when another writer finishes an incomplete story based solely on notes and general direction from the author. Only HE can tell the story he intended and Martin dropped the ball perhaps he was never going to be able to finish the story with or without the added fame. But honestly at this point I don't think I believe he has the faintest idea of how to tie the story up despite some of his interviews saying he has a plan.
@@theIronwolf1984I’m still under the belief that he doesn’t know how to wrap up all of the story lines and bring it together cohesively. He created an incredible story but bit off more than he can chew (plenty of jokes in that line), and now he’s stuck trying to figure out how to bring it to a close.
Arya's training is complete and she has become the greatest assassin in Westeros. -Her education started by watching her brothers and learning to shoot bow and arrow. -At Kings landing she learned "water dancing" from Syrio Forel. -She later ended up with the Brotherhood without banners and fine tuned her bow skills with Anguy. -She learned a lot in her time with The Hound. -And then, of course, culminating with her training at The House of black and white. She's a beast. Took out an entire house by herself.
Considering everything she's probably one of the best warriors alive for who she's been under. Especially given her age. People act like it's far fetched she's as strong as she is, but if you look at what she's been through, it's not that hard to grasp.
If you had told me season 1 The Hound would become one of my favorite characters, I would have called you a filthy liar. His character arc is absolutely amazing.
Kings Landing is mostly the old town of Dubrovnik in Croatia. Later they also filmed in Spain and Malta. Anything that takes place in the North was mainly filmed in Northern Ireland and Iceland.
To be fair even the few bad parts of this tv show, are in fact still better than the majority of the shows out there in general. But that's mostly true for HBO shows, they have consistent quality that is super hard to find in other channels. There are some problems in the last two seasons, but they can still be overlooked kinda, and just accept and enjoy the show for what it is despite the lack of source material. I mostly despise parts of last season for a few key bits that involve a select few characters not being "in character" or in line with their true nature (bad writing in few cases), or simply because of rushed execution because they wanted to end it sooner rather than later. And some strategic elements in a particular siege that don't make sense military-wise. Its still a goated show for the most part, that will never be forgotten though, so I'm willing to turn the blind eye to some of these. ^^
When you get to watch them back to back, the rushed nature of the last couple doesn't seem so bad because you don't have the time to build up what could have been. It could have used full seasons for 7&8 but, when taken as a whole, still a great series though!!!
Yeah wish people would stop bashing it to reactors. It dims their own opinions sometimes. I personally didn’t hate it. Wasn’t crazy about ending but still an awesome show. Better than most on tv. HOTD is coming three weeks. Can’t wait!!
As shocking as this show can be, I feel like one of the moments from the my first time watching that still stands out to me is when tommen decides he’s done, that episode was wild
Aryas revenge between s6e10 and this first episode of s7 is my favorite moment of the series. Such a badass way to get revenge on the entire family after all the crap Arya had gone through to learn that skill. The red wedding the day it aired CRUSHED us. So this was so sweet.
Both stark sisters have that little smile as they walk away after revenge is taken. I have a t shirt "Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe." That was a big seller same as The North Remembers, I drink and I know things, and I choose violence.
Although not ideal , I found many episodes and moments in season 7 and 8 to still be magnificent. Even at its “ worst”, GoT still surpassed most TV series at that time imo 🔥
By and large Arya is my favorite character and the revenge on House Frey is the best outcome this story has had to this point! That said, my favorite reaction from you guys was when Daenerys acquired the Unsullied! When you realized that she knew what that slaver was saying the entire time! Honorable mention to learning why Hodor says, "Hodor!"
Remember when Arya used to tell Ned whenever he talked about being a lady? She'd answer: that's not me. When she realizes Nymeria chooses the wild over her, she says "that's not you" because she's like her

Honestly this opening scene of this season is one of my favorite scenes in thee entire series!! I just was sooo happy to finally see a sliver of consequences and Arya getting a bit of revenge finally after 6 seasons of vowing to get revenge on her family’s enemies.

"That's not you" to Nymeria is a call back to when Ned said to Arya she'll grow up to marry a lord and rule his castle and she said "No, that's not me." In this case Arya meant that Nymeria is a wild direwolf now and it no longer is going to live the life of a domesticated wolf. It has its own life and family now.
For the beautiful GOT scenery, King's Landing scenes were filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia, exterior shots of Dragonstone scenes were filmed in the Basque Coast in Spain, and scenes featuring the North and the Lands Beyond the Wall were shot in Northern Ireland and Iceland.
When Arya said “That’s not you “ to Nymeria she basically meant she’s now free and doesn’t need to go back home. Just like when Arya said to ned “that’s not me” talking about being a fighter instead of a princess .
King’s Landing is in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Beautiful city. They have special Game of Thrones tours with a guide taking you to all the filming locations in the city.
Another fun fact that they didn’t put in the show was that Robb aka Two Bs wanted Jon to be his successor as the King of the North in case he died, he planned on paying the Nights Watch if needed to release Jon so he could be by his side. He only managed to tell Cat (Who was against it). Unfortunately he died without telling anyone else, which is probably why they left it out the show.
Would have loved to seen Arya free her Uncle Edmure from the Frey’s dungeons. In a weird way he might be head of House Frey as most often men rule. Missed opportunity.
Jon is more Ned than any of the other boys and wasn’t even his. He even put the hand to Baelish throat the same way. Jon just didn’t call him a funny man 😂

every reactor questions Theon jumping from the boat but what other alternative was there? If he had tried to save Yara, Euron had a knife on her throat and he might kill her right away and then fight Theon... plus his PTSD had Theon almost paralyzed.
All the wolves reflect parts of their owners characters and are used to foretell their story. Arya throughout GOT longs for her own family and her own “pack”. She is wild, free and never wanted to be a lady and have children. She tells Ned “that’s not me” in season one on the staircase when he finds her balancing. Nymeria, once released from Arya, is wild and free and goes on to build her own pack. Arya recognises that Nymeria could never go back to being what she was before - because “that’s not you”. Arya will never go back to being what she was before either.
The “That’s not you..” line is super significant to the first season Whenever Ned told Arya she’d be a lady in a lords court she always said “No, that’s not me” So when she tried taking Nymeria back to Winterfell and she rejected it Arya realized Nymeria can’t be domesticated again, she’s wild now “That’s not you”
Love watching these with y'all. You are getting close to one of my favorite episodes. The Spoils of War. Episode 4 in Season 7. I can barely wait to see your reaction to it. So excited!!!!!
“For hands of gold are always cold..” That was a song written by a singer in the books as a way to blackmail Tyrion. The singer was hired to sing for Shae, he found out that she was Tyrion’s mistress. When Tyrion went to dismiss the singer he was told that if didn’t give the singer what he wanted then the song would be sung in front of Cersei. Of course it didn’t work and Tyrion had Bronn kill the singer. In the book and I think in the show, Shae worn the “Hands necklace” two gold hands clasped together.l
To Mrs. October, just seems ironic that on today’s episode you mentioned the Kevan Lannister had died. ( Thanks to Cersei!) I just found today that Ian Gelder who played Kevan passed away earlier this month on May 6th. Just a little FYI. You guys take care. See you on the video.
The scene with Nymeria was a poorly written callback to season 1 when Arya told Ned she wasn't going to be a princess having babies, just as Nymeria isn't going to go back to being a pet, she is a leader.
Arya says "That's not you" to Nymeria, because Nymeria isn't meant to be owned, she's meant to roam free. It's a call back to season one when Arya is told she's supposed to wear dresses and dance and sing and learn to sew, but Arya says "that's not me" (I think to her father, Ned). All Arya wants to do is learn to fight and shoot a bow and run around and get dirty.
@@TheOctobersReact well and other Targaryens before that. Rhaenyra is a star nowadays cause house of the dragon is basically about her and something called “dance of the dragons”

Arya's reply: "That's not me!"
Nymeria is no longer a pet! Thus: "That's not you!"
"There's seven episode, we wanted 10" So did we bro. Even Martin wanted 10 episodes, lol.

The “That’s not you..” line is super significant to the first season
Whenever Ned told Arya she’d be a lady in a lords court she always said “No, that’s not me”
So when she tried taking Nymeria back to Winterfell and she rejected it Arya realized Nymeria can’t be domesticated again, she’s wild now
“That’s not you”
Happy Birthday to my favorite reaction channel 🎉🎉🎉🎉
There’s way more Tyrell’s, Lannisters etc. from the great houses. Also Olenna is a Redwyne which is the 2nd or 3rd most powerful house in the reach.
My favourite moment is Mrs. October shouting "Yes! YES!" when Theon pushed Miranda off the catwalk. Shows what Game of Thrones does to you.
Love watching these with y'all. You are getting close to one of my favorite episodes. The Spoils of War. Episode 4 in Season 7. I can barely wait to see your reaction to it. So excited!!!!!
Oh man did yal react to “R+L=J” video??
We did it just got blocked on TH-cam so it’s on our Patreon
I wonder if they noticed that the gizmo in the series opening sequence is the same gizmo in the Library at The Citadel....
19:05 💀💀 y’all sending shots at each other is too funny
Arya says "That's not you" to Nymeria, because Nymeria isn't meant to be owned, she's meant to roam free. It's a call back to season one when Arya is told she's supposed to wear dresses and dance and sing and learn to sew, but Arya says "that's not me" (I think to her father, Ned). All Arya wants to do is learn to fight and shoot a bow and run around and get dirty.
"That sounds like Ed Shereen.............that is Ed Shereen? Why is he in this?"
Idk but i enjoyed the cameo lol
XD
The odd seasons are the best seasons. Season 1, season 3, season 5 and season 7!
Season 6 has the best episode though
B O T B ?
@@jamiewilson9280 The next one after that
My peeps! Let's goooo. "They don't have an education, they just walk around in the woods all day " I'm ☠️😂
some of it is filmed in the UK, Croatia, Romania, and New Zealand. not sure where else
War room.. nahh.. used to be a bedroom to Princess Rhaenyra.
Thanks for telling me haha
@@TheOctobersReact well and other Targaryens before that. Rhaenyra is a star nowadays cause house of the dragon is basically about her and something called “dance of the dragons”
I remember when that "wolverine" (Mrs October) scratched the sh*t, I mean scratched the face of Mr. October lol 😆🤣
My favorite is this Season. Favorite moments besides seeing the baby dragons for the first time, is anything Arya has done so far.
Most of it is shot where I'm from Northern Ireland there is a game of thrones tour and museum you would love it guys , I live ten minutes from the studio where winterfell and red keep where which is pretty cool
