    The reason that it was probably leaking with the 1.7 is because you should also have a separate needle made for the 1.7. The 1.3 needle is probably to small for the 1.7 cap.

    I'm surpised they didn't include a different needle with the 1.7, makes no sence that they would think one needle works for all sizes of fluid tips.

    Nice looking gun Mario it's almost the same as my Sata 100B it looks the same and pretty much has the same setups for it, it's a shame the primer setup was spitting I don't know why that is but as you say it could be a faulty tip, I think the possible needle issue has been well and truly covered in the comments here so I won't mention it😁🙄😂
    Maybe send it back and get a replacement Mario as it does seem to spray well👌👍John UK

      Can't go wrong with the Flg5👍I tried the Vevor and it was terrible. Bad pattern, bad guage, leaky air cap, and the casting was crooked. I thought the paint cup was bent but it was the whole gun cast wrong. My flg does it all. I have the 1.3,1.4,1.8 nozzles. I really like the aeropro a610/r500 too

    Great video! I think I'm going to get one of these. I currently have a Sata 4400 minijet and a Binks Trophy Series LVMP detail gun, but those are not for automotive. I'm wanting a larger gun I can shoot primer, base and clear with. That Vevor looks fantastic, and it almost looks like a Sata. 👍

    The better the gun the less pressure. Less over spray. And saves paint

  • @justinw523
    @justinw523 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice looking paint gun! I think you was missing the 1.7 needle for the 1.7 cap and tip that’s why you was getting fluid coming out when you barely squeezed the trigger but If you don’t use those PPS adapters I sure could use one.

    Did u also switch the needle for primer primer? That will make it fluid come out if the needle doesn't match 1.7 tip. 1.3 needle is too thin, so if you put 1.7 tip with 1.3 needle. The needle doesn't close tight inside the tip. Then the fluid will come out. The needle has to sit tight in the tip. Maybe the tip wasn't tight enough.

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I tried both needles I end up marking the needles to differentiate. It’s possible I had the same two needles caz I couldn’t see the difference.

    When you said you weren't getting proper atomization, what were the visual cues you saw that indicated that? I'm asking since I don't have a reference of what proper vs improper atomization looks like.

    How does it compare to the Master Elite High Performance PRO-44 Series HVLP Spray Gun when using the 1.3 tip?

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To compare the two. This gun is an all around gun the master elite isn’t. However if I had to choose between the two for clear I’m going with the master.

    You didn't take the 1.3 needle out you just took the tip off and pit the 1.7 tip on without putting the 1.7 needle in the gun

  • @rotarynation7874
    @rotarynation7874 ปีที่แล้ว

    Didn't switch out needle (used 1.3 needle on 1.7 cap )

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  ปีที่แล้ว

      5:16 if you listen here I said I switched out the needle. So wouldn’t that mean I’m using the wrong needle again? However it’s possible I have two same needle. I will definitely be looking into it as I do like the gun.

    • @rotarynation7874
      @rotarynation7874 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mariopaintclass6091 5:16 is in reference to the 2nd change which would give an even tighter seal since now instead of using 1.7 tip with 1.3 needle (which is what i seen , hence my 1st comment) now on "5:16 comment" you are saying you switched back to a 1.3 but since you didn't switch the needle the 1st time ,the second switch would be a 1.3 with a 1.7 needle.......its ok if you made a mistake ( we all make mistakes) .. it would also explain why you had a leak while barely testing the trigger by using 1.7 with 1.3... Again its all good im just going by what i saw, it aint easy trying to film /talk/work/prep etc things happen... if needles arent marked you can measure with a caliper to be sure if they got mixed up .... GL take care

    • @rotarynation7874
      @rotarynation7874 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like you said it is also possible you have two 1.3 needle or a bad machined needle, only way is to measure both needles and mark them if not marked... The gun itself looks decent , vevor also has a r500 with same metal cup and mutiple needles (LVLP)which is something i was looking at recently , Always good to have multiple gun options ...

    Quality tradesmen use quality tools no excuses

    • @Bigmitch_2001
      @Bigmitch_2001 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with the idea if you are a tradesman, you should use quality tools for your craft, but everyone on here is not a tradesman. I do Cyber Security, but my old 09 Ridgeline has peeling clearcoat on the roof. I want to try to fix that up a little this summer, so I am not going to buy a $600-$900 gun for a one off. If a pro says I can get close to a professional finish with this gun, for around $100, I'm in. I have seen videos saying it uses 3.5-3.9 cfm, but on amazon it says 13 cfm, I don't know what to believe. I will find out on Friday when it gets here. I also use my guns to paint my wood/cabinet projects, so I will practice with that until I try to tackle my old pickup.
