To be fair, the fishman that Usopp defeated was Arlong's lieutenant, Chu. Arlong has two in this live action, implying they're the strongest next to him - Sanji took down Kurobi and Usopp took out Chu.
They really need to deliver on his tag team fight in Arabasta. Its one of his finest moments. They need to let him get the crap beat out of him as well. They should have done this with Chu as well. The thing about Usopp, the dude can take a beating and keep going.
One thing I’ll say the live action didn’t explain is just how GOOD Namis maps are. It’s not just like she’s a steady hand. She draws out tidal patterns, sea currents. Not just what’s there but the safe/dangerous ways to navigate it. Combine that with underwater breathing pirates and they were able to have a tremendous advantage fighting other ships. Nami wasn’t just giving them road maps, she was making combat multipliers.
20:15 - THIS moment in particular will probably never get old to me. Watching people who have NEVER cared to watch a single episode of the anime getting as excited as us lunatics who did at the mere sight of SHANKS!
I love how u went from ep 1 and one of the first things you said was: yea this feels like a kid show. And then see how u grew into the story is just amazing
You are correct. Sanji actually can fight well with his hands, but he does not because he would risk his chef's hands. Thus his name, Black Leg Sanji. As for Garp, remember, he was the man that brought Pirate King Gold Roger to justice. The two actually have a history with each other. As he said, he could have received the highest rank of the Marines: Fleet Admiral, but he declined because he wanted to remain free to his beliefs. And the Marines actually let him do what he wants. This gives you some idea of just how strong Garp is.
Yeah but it's ok. People often thinks all the super powers are coming from Devil Fruits in early seasons. When they realize there is people learn different techniques, or train to be more powerful than most fruit users it's gonna be badass
I think this is forgotten because a lot of things are happening in that scene especially for new viewers. People remember that Luffy does his gum gum balloon move and disables Garp's ship. This is the last thing that happens in that sequence and the scene is so outrageous. Just like all of episode 4. People are just stunned that Garp is Luffy's grandfather and forget what even happened in the episode. Zoro brilliant lighting backstory, Kuina strange possibly low budget death even though that is basically what happened, Luffy and Koby moment, Kuro being Freddy Kruger horror, Gum Gum Bell, the kiss and getting Going Merry. That is a lot of stuff happening. But it's literally the last line "Grandpa" that sticks.
Shanks is currently only one who can fight mihawk on equal footing and if you think mihak cutting a ship is a display of power then you don't know what he is capable of as travel without a crew that shows his confidence
Garp has the power of “Being Garp”. It’s one of the most OP powers in all of One Piece. If he’d wanted he could’ve beaten the entirety of the Arlong Pirates, Arlong included, with virtually zero effort. He was just having some fun when he was fighting Luffy.
So little bit of research for reference when it comes to crushing damage to Luffy: - A hydraulic press steadily applying increasing pressure on a rubber band ball will see the rubber start to split and break apart between 6000-9000 PSI. - 6000 PSI is the equivalent of 408 times the pressure we feel at sea-level. Conclusion: When it comes to crushing/bludgeoning damage, it usually doesn't actually hurt him since even his organs are rubberized on the inside. Also thinking of how strong densely packed compressed rubber can be is a good way to rationalize how Luffy can hit as hard as he can.
11:40 since hes rubber he us completely immune to blunt force basically. In syrup village originally he was crushed by a boat and fell off a cliff directly onto his head and was fine

Arlong is like Killmonger in Black Panther, He's not wrong about the injustice that Fishmen have faced but he ignores the injustice done to humans. I can't even guess when we'll see Coby, Helmeppo, and Garp again. In the manga and anime, we didn't see them until a few hundred chapters in (what I expect will be season four in the live action). It wasn't until then that manga and anime audiences learned that Vice Admiral Garp, Hero of the Marines, was also Monkey D. Garp, grandfather of Luffy. There was a brief "cover story" (a side story that Oda tells using the cover pages of manga chapters) that featured Garp training Coby and Helmeppo, but they didn't appear in the main story again for quite a while. Since both that cover story and their next appearance from the main story have kind of been adapted here, I don't know how they'll be worked in after this; if the showrunners don't create some new story to push them in, then their next appearance is likely not to be until events that I think will be season six, as the guy with the cigars is the main Marine that appears in the story through the next several arcs, when there are even Marines present. (It's REALLY hard to talk about this without using any names for characters or locations that haven't yet appeared in the live action series to avoid spoilers!) Anyways, I love how genuine and unfiltered your reactions are! I enjoyed all of your reactions to the live action series, and if you decide to go watch the anime to see what's different and experience more of the story, I'll be here for that as well! The difference is, a haki can be activated throigh intense training & make the person to have superpowers. 2 characters is suspectedly uses haki in this season. Garp uses reinforcement haki that gives him incredible strength & Shanks uses conqueror haki that gives him the ability to command any creatures. That's why the sea monster you saw in episode 2 just swam away after Shanks said: "Get lost."
Rubber has a ton of potential uses, and properties. The two most obvious are it’s stretching potential, and it’s ability to retain its original shape. But one of its most important qualities is it’s ability to bounce back, and the ability to bring joy and smiles to many people. Oda created Luffy as the physical manifestation of rubber in a human. His personality, and everything he does is rooted in this fact.
In episode 1, l thought you were very critical of the series and l was deciding whether to watch one piece through your channel, but from episode 2 you got into it and was able to imagine the story. Glad you loved it and must admit l was not an anime fan at all before this live adaptation.

The last part is Captain Smoker a marine captain who ate the devil fruit with the power of turning his body into smoke. I can't wait to see who will be cast to play as him and see him in the next season. Season 2 we are going to see Tony Tony Chopper. I hope he is cgi and cute like pikachu!
The Last guy is important and pretty sure he gonna appear in season 2. This season was an apperitif (in french), the next gear gonna be way more important since now. By the way, the attacks of Sanji is always based on french words of food for example Mouton shoot , mouton mean sheep in English. Grandpa Garp got that old man strength! This is a fantasy world, and it's very possible for people to develop superhuman strength, speed, and durability just from training. Garp is the strongest normie in the Navy, but he's still a normie. No Devil Fruits or anything.
You're in for a major treat once season 2 drops, cause this arc (the East Blue saga) is nothing compared to what the Grand Line holds in terms of sheer power and insanity. As for that guy at the end, he's definitely gonna put a lot of other characters to shame, cause oh boy is he insanely powerful.
Great reaction. I binged watched all your videos. One Piece is so awesome. Great storytelling. I have watched about 100 episodes of the anime years ago on Toonami. Now I want to read the manga.

Garp and his boss Sengoku were the two who brought in Gold Roger and Gold Roger was the strongest pirate of his time to give you a scale of Garps strength he's older so not as strong as his prime but he's probably stronger then 80% of the people in the show.
This show was amazing. I don't really like One Piece as a manga or anime at first, but I loved the live action. Netflix did a really great job despite their past fails. I hope they could do the same for some other Shonen Neketsu licences, like Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia or Naruto. Or maybe some wonderful manga like Berzerker would be huge in live action.
@@jayfizzle7483 so far yeah .. but we really don't know the real advantage that shanks has over mihawk .. you got to keep in mind that swordsmanship alone would not be enough to defeat shanks which means haki also has to be involved as well . But the fact that mihawk was able to match up against shanks then In a draw fight tells me that mihawk haki is also on a powerful level as well .. but that's just how I see it .
@@jamestinsley4981 Just because Mihawk is regarded as strongest swordsman in the story doesn't mean Oda crowned him the strongest swordsman. It just means the people in the story think he's the strongest swordsman. Even the so-called strongest creature got defeated (in manga and anime), does that mean Oda made a mistake? If he was truly the strongest creature, he wouldn't be defeated in the final 1v1 showdown.
23:51 Oh you clever ones, you asking the right questions here... I can´t answer your question but trust me: Shanks is a BIG deal. Also, thank you: you are among the few who caught on the fact that Nami, while giving off the vibe of "I´m betraying Luffy" at the Baratie actually saves his life. Trust me, not many understood that. On a side note: Luffy, as you may have seen, isn´t a particularly bright guy, while Nami has always been very intelligent and had to grew up in an environment that forced her to continuously develop her skills in regard to strategy. For this reason, and I don´t know if we´ll ever see that explained tbh, I sincerely believe that she was the one who grabbed the bag with Buggy´s head and let it on the Going Merry. Luffy wouldn´t have thought of that, he´s just not the type. And he´s not so stealthy that he could have done it without the fishmen noticing (not to mention that he was very busy fighting Arlong).
being rubber makes Luffy uncrushable by ANY amount of weight. the only way to really hurt Luffy is to drown / burn / cut / spear / freeze / poison / gas him, but it'll take a LOT more than average to make it take long-term or permanent effect, and NOTHING else will even daze him, That's true of any Devil Fruit keeper. All of them are extremely EXTREMELY resilient. And the ones who can turn into non-solids are basically untouchable.
even poison usually takes weirdly long time on him. It might just be the result of his willpower, but be has shown unusually high resistance to poison time after time
If you go back and rewatch episode 1, during the execution scene, where everybody is running off to all become pirates after Roger is killed, there's a shot of a teenage boy with poofy blonde hair. That kid is the dude smoking the cigars at the very end of this episode.
If you decide to watch the anime, just know the writer is cheeky. Once you learn what this show is about, looking back at the East Blue, you'll notice Oda tricked you into seeming like someone you aren't.
If you put all the Shanks scenes in the anime, they would not fill even one whole episode out of the 1080 that are now. But still, he is the most hyped character of all long anime series.
It'll be cool if you check out the beautiful world of One Piece I think it's only 7 minute video. Then checked out the anime openings like it's 26 of them now or 27, That'll be about an hour. Lastly one piece where to start. I think that's what it's called. That one's like 20 minutes or so. Maybe it'll give you a push to watch the anime. But honestly if you start the anime start from episode 1. A while the live action is good. There's a lot of important context you miss if you start from where the live actions ends.
Hatchi was there, he was the one against whom nami won poker in beginning of episode 7. Chouchou dog from orange Town was also ther3 in cameo form, around when the mayor thanks them. Garp and his boss Sengoku were the two who brought in Gold Roger and Gold Roger was the strongest pirate of his time to give you a scale of Garps strength he's older so not as strong as his prime but he's probably stronger then 80% of the people in the show.
Love your reaction! Appreciate you understood the French words ❤
I hated the one piece for years coz of the fans and after then..... i gavr my time for it and..... jeeez.. one pirce animr way better
lmao i love how everyone on this part screams shanks whenever they see him XD
You guys picking up on Shanks being better than Mihawk is awesome. I feel a lot of people just took it as a joke watching the LA version.
Yah . Mihawk is above shanks according to oda .
@@jamestinsley4981 if we talking purely sword skill sure.
@@jayfizzle7483Yes, after all Shanks is a great English boxer.
@@jayfizzle7483 so far yeah .. but we really don't know the real advantage that shanks has over mihawk .. you got to keep in mind that swordsmanship alone would not be enough to defeat shanks which means haki also has to be involved as well . Now as far as we know so far shanks in the manga has shown more haki display .
It might just be the result of his willpower, but be has shown unusually high resistance to poison time after time
Shanks is pretty fucking strong.
Reação perfeita, acompanhei todos os episódios com vocês! congratz!
It's official, the strawhat pirates are born ! 🎉
I hope yall decide to watch the anime sometime soon. Your reactions are awesome.
the one with the cigar is captain smoker 😛✌️
usopp saying he fought singlehandedly while surrounded by fishmen, shooting until his fingers bled, is one of my favourite moments of the series. 🤣
SogeKing! th-cam.com/video/PhXNmMLdivk/w-d-xo.html
Omg they finish the LA version of one piece and already do a power scaling 😭😭😭😂
Mihawk is a Warlord but Shanks is one of the four Emperor of the sea ..
If you go back and rewatch episode 1, during the execution scene, where everybody is running off to all become pirates after Roger is killed, there's a shot of a teenage boy with poofy blonde hair. That kid is the dude smoking the cigars at the very end of this episode.
No spoiler bro
There was literally no reason to point this out lmao
@longhuynh7380 how is that a spoiler?
22:19 I guess a smoker lol
If you decide to watch the anime, just know the writer is cheeky. Once you learn what this show is about, looking back at the East Blue, you'll notice Oda tricked you into seeming like someone you aren't.
Yes Sanji uses his hands only for cooking just like Red-Leg Zeff btw Sanji is known as the Black-Leg Sanji 😅😅
Congratulations, you just finished the prolog of One Piece 😊
If Garp will be Serious here Then this Island Don't Stand a Chance against his ONE FIST POWER.
The guy at the end is a threat 😂
If you put all the Shanks scenes in the anime, they would not fill even one whole episode out of the 1080 that are now.
But still, he is the most hyped character of all long anime series.
Can't wait for season 2
luffys rubber so he doesn’t experience blunt force trauma
You guys best couple reaction channel ever ❤
Tbh the live action was great but they toned luffys strength down . In the anime luffy is super strong like his hits sends people flying easy
If u guys wanna continue from where they left off, do from epi 44 ❤ its when nami says byebye to her village people
Probably a better idea to just watch the anime from the start
Agreed, best to start from episode 1. There's a ton of change and context missing.
Garp's super power is that he is Garp.
You should react to Sanji vs Queen and Zoro vs King in the anime. It's their latest fights and super dope.
luffy survived the building collapsing because he is made of rubber and you cannot crush rubber
How powerful is Shanks?
Yes.
Shanks vs Mihawk still no winner, just draw
True. Oda never reveal a fight between Shanks and Mihawk.
SMOKERRRRR SAAAANNNN!!
Finally someone acknowledged the fact that Shanks had a sword fight with Hawkeye and SURVIVED!!
Anyone else miss hachi?
Hatchi was there, he was the one against whom nami won poker in beginning of episode 7.
Chouchou dog from orange Town was also ther3 in cameo form, around when the mayor thanks them.
Moomoo the alongs sea beast cow had a refer3nce, when Luffy tells Alvida "u r as dumb as sea cow".
And many other indirect references.
Wealso had dragon cameo during roger execution
@@aruhikit was not hachi, lol. Are you blind or are you joking?
@@rakhatthenut3815he was hatchi. In cameo form, they were not gonna giveus 8 arms due to budget constraints. Instead of looking down and insulting others do your research and production team & writers interviews. If u don't wanna then get out of my comment
@@rakhatthenut3815 sea cow is hachi's pet
@@rakhatthenut3815 I'm pretty sure that if you check the credits after the episode the guy is cast as Hachi/Angry Fishman
Dont worry to shanks..,
He is the top of all the tops..,
Overpowered character in OP..!
Of course shanks IS Crazy 🤣😝
I really wished they did a better job with Arlong Park. It needed at least one more episode to do it justice. What should have been a home run became a solid base hit instead. Still good, but could have been much better at 10 eps this season instead of 8.
When Usopp lire's it will come ture one episode 1 with Zoro it set up for season 2
Btw 100mil berry its not the same as 100mil $. Its more like 100k $
You should absolutely start the anime between this season and the next. It will be a couple of years or so anyway, so you might as well get a bit ahead.
You guys considered watching the anime this was based off of? It’s an Amazing story
One Piece is a masterpiece ❤
welcome NAKAMA!
The Fist of Love
I just want the Live action to get to Whitebeard, my favorite character besides the obvious characters.
When shanks gave his hat to kid luffy in episode 2, bounty on his head was alrdy 1billion. So you can imagine how strong shanks was back then and now in current luffy
Current luffy's bounty: 30 millions
10 years ago shanks's bounty: 1 billion
Isnt that crazy 😅
Stop spoiling
@@allpissedup229what spoiler? Its never mentioned in the manga
@@allpissedup229 is it really a spoiler, that's more of a trivia
@@abilawaandamari8366 Of course it's a spoiler! It gives an idea of the bounties and power scales. There is no reason to be ruining people's fun by spoiling like that.
@@GomuJrs Mentioning bounty amounts is going to spoil the fun when they see numbers like that.
In the animé all the admirals are ridiculously over-powered. Nami is a very proficient fighter but nowhere on the level of the others.
What would you call a guy who chain smokes cigars?
You should watch one piece I know its 1000 episode but trust me you will forget that its 1000 episode because u r enjoying it.
Shanks never Beat Mihawk but they are on same level at least that what is hinted at in the manga
Luffy is the definition of Ride or Die
Anime is way better I hope you’ll react to that in the future
Why did this smoker burn the wanted poster? Now he doesn't even know what this Luffy looks like.
