@@lazylonewolf no one would have guessed Zoro was able to survive that, no regular human would survive that hit with that bottle and strenght directly to the nape and later that fall, and like falling over his head for how they threw him. He just survived bc he's hella strong, like the fictional character he is, being even way more resistant than regular ppl even in his world, but like those two had no way of knowing how freaking strong Zoro was, he was just a random guy with some swords to them.
I think the "playing with his food" is a good term for Kuroo, he definitely enjoys it and he's full of adrenaline so won't do it as fast as possible against people he knows can't beat him or when he's not in a situation where he actually needs to it fast (like with Merry).
It was a good idea to do 2 episodes at a time bc the show is kind of formatted that way. Can not wait for you to watch more episodes, the show keeps getting better each episode.

When he was Captain Kuro we used to wear a pair of metal claws on his hands, called Cat Claws. These claws are a symbol of his murderous ways, and he wears them constantly. However, they make it difficult for him to adjust his glasses with his fingers, so he has to use the palm of his hand instead. This habit is also a way for Kuro to project an image of power and control. When he adjusts his glasses, he is asserting his dominance over others. He is also reminding them of his dangerous nature, and the fact that he is always prepared to fight. In addition, Kuro's habit of adjusting his glasses can be seen as a sign of his arrogance and overconfidence. He believes that he is superior to others, and that he can always get his way. Overall, Captain Kuro's habit of adjusting his glasses is a complex one. It is a way for him to project an image of power, control, and danger. It is also a sign of his arrogance and overconfidence.

Something that I think you'll find intrasting, (small spoiler for anime) Garp being Luffy's grandpa isn't revealed until ep 315! So it was very shocking for most of us anime fans when it revealed this early on in the show.
Kuro is the captain of the Black Cat Pirates. It's a theme, so the hissing, his claws, the paying with the food, it's cat stuff. But more importantly, Kuro's wanted poster was seen in the safe they stole from the Marine base, and it was the "defeat" of Kuro that made Captain Morgan get his status, and Kuro is also responsible for breaking his jaw, making him wear the metal prosthetic.
Captain Kuro's little tell is that he always pushes his glasses up with the palm of his hand, because of the blades attached to his gloves. He habitually does that even when not wearing the gloves. So yeah, the glasses are a clue to his identity XD
Fun fact: Kuro actually does *not* have a Devil Fruit power! He's *just* that fast! Devil Fruits aren't the only means of getting super powers in the One Piece universe. Kuro has mastered a martial arts technique from the Rokushiki discipline; Fishmen have Fishman Karate, which uses their attunement to the sea to be able to harm Devil Fruit users; and Shanks used another, more mysterious power to tame that sea king in episode 2.
In the manga, he does actually stay little buggy for a while. The overall sequence of events is different to begin with, but while the main story is going on there are one-off illustrations before each chapter to tell side stories. There's a whole series depicting tiny buggy going on an adventure to find his body parts and reunite with his crew after getting launched away.
Kuina died because she fell down the stairs to the basement, she was going to get a whetstone for her sword. It was never shown in the manga or anime, just told to us by her father. It hits really hard, because it was such a mundane thing. No murder, nothing big, just an accidental fall down the stairs, something that could happen to anyone in daily life. Some people make up crazy theories, but there is absolutely no backing for them. I like it just the way it is, because it's so realistic and tragic in its simplicity, not everything has to be a conspiracy.
If you up to date with wano it makes sense that the sword killled her because it wanted to be with Zorro . His passion to be the greatest swordsman was stronger than her will . Hence my theory on how she died
I like the look between Nami and Luffy after Kaya gives them the ship and she realizes he's won the bet. Her annoyance that the universe has once again rewarded his certainty that things will just kind of work out was a nice way to end that scene.
Kuro isn't the Flash. His speed doesn't come with significant super strength or reflexes, so he has limited control when dashing. This may be why he didn't kill Usopp when he dashed at him; he couldn't bring the blades to bear that quickly. But there's also the idea of a cat playing with his food.

In the anime Comadors real identity is Captain Kuro, he faked his death and assumed a new identity as a butler. His original plan was to hypnotic Kira into writing him into his will. Then have his pirate crew raize the village and kill the girl for him so the villagers will assume her death was just another casualty and he gets her fortune.

Just a little nugget of information: Kuro does not have a devil fruit, he just has a technique that allows him to move incredibly fast but he can't really see while he does it that why he just kills everybody in an instant, it's not really told in the live-action but it is mentioned in the anime/manga. Also if someone has a devil fruit power they will say it out loud like Buggy and Luffy did in the previous episodes and it's also a hint that there are other ways to be powerful in a battle without a devil fruit. I wouldn't say the girl was around Zoro's level even if she was good, but Zoro isn't at his maximum now with the things he went throught this last two episodes.
The sub-plot of Coby and Garp was added in the live action, in the anime after coby joined the marine Garp chose him and helmeppo to train them and then that's it. We don't see them until the fourth saga (which is also when we learn about Garp being Luffy's grandpa).
Just wanted to say you "Grandpa!" reaction was perfect, just in sync like you were part of the crew. Regarding Kuro not killing Kaya in her sleep, he's supposed to be just like a cat. Cats like to play with their food and like the thrill of hunting. Kinda the same reason why his goons keep hissing. One Piece is a very wacky show, as you can see in many elements, and it shows in the characters.

I don't think the two guys are dumb, tbh no normal person would survive that hit with the bottle in the nape AND being thrown head down from that height, Zoro just survived bc he's hella strong but they barely know him, they had to way of knowing he would randomly be super resistant, to them he shouldn't look like that different from regular people as he actually is, they just know he uses swords and that's kinda it
One Piece live action is such a relief when you compare it to Fate: The Winx Saga. Like, this show could have been as bad as that or even worse. But they gave us such a great show instead.
