My Favorite Power Metal Band from my home country of Canada, eh! I recommend you check out the following video. It is a fun video of just Brittney doing karaoke of Queensryche's Queen of the Reich. If I was in that pub when she hit those high notes at the beginning of the song, I definitely would have dropped my drink and my chin would have been on the floor lol. Anyway, check out: Brittney Slayes - Queen of the Reich Karaoke - Edinburgh
Brittney Slayes is a phenomenal power metal vocalist! She is more reserved on this one, but the band shines! Saw them live front row to stage last year here in Indianapolis. Amazing! Luv this and from Canada. Brittney is so personable too…they love love their fans and show it
Tonight We Ride, Legacy or faster Than Light are Suggestions from this old Metal head for starting down the wormhole of exploring Unleash The Archers Brittany Slayes voice is amazing and FYI tidbit she writes most of the lyrics then works with the amazing musians for the music riffs and vibe of the song. Also the albums are concept albums so your on target for the 1970s - 80s sound vibe of bands like STYX. Enjoying your journey Rock On Stay Safe 🙏🤘🤘🤘
By the way, Brittney liked the sound of Fate of Man so much, she convinced Unleash the Archers to do a Synthcore version of False Walls! How freakin' cool is that? And ditto about her vocal lines in False Walls. When Brittney wants to, she can hit you in the feels, and can sing very beautifully.
Oooo have you dabbled in any Ayreon yet? The Day The World Breaks Down will give you 11 vocalists and the subsequent multiple rabbit holes of their own bands to dive into as well as more Ayreon 😁👍
@JyngerSlapz: Watching your reaction, you had the same reaction I did, the first time I heard this band, and heard this song: A smile on your face, from beginning to end. I'm really happy you like this band -- because to quote a comment I've read elsewhere, "Unleash the Archers is like the world's best courier company: They just don't stop delivering." Now that you've heard Awakening, I highly recommend these next 3 tracks: 1) Tonight We Ride, Unleash the Archers 2) Abyss, Unleash the Archers 3) Fate of Man, Star One. Note: This isn't an Unleash the Archers track, but one by mastermind Arjen Lucassen, who has been making music since 1980. On this track, you get to hear Brittney Slayes, the frontwoman for Unleash the Archers, channel her inner Bruce Dickinson -- on a song written about the Terminator sci-fi Universe. And should you feel ready for it, at some point I highly recommend reacting to The Wind That Shapes The Land -- arguably the most epic song Unleash the Archers has ever put out, and the song that is Grant Truesdell's, the rhythm guitarist's, favorite to play. Grant, by the way, is the main growling vocalist for Unleash the Archers, who you saw in this video.
Yes! Brittney Slays! And they're Canadian and live across town from me... same with Devin Townsend. Some other great UTA songs: Tonight We Ride, Faster Than Light, Northwest Passage Other great female metal divas: Lizzy Hale of Halestorm checkout "Love Bites But So do I", Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless checkout "25" (the unplugged version is best)
One new band at a time we metalheads will conquer the world! Nightwish, Jinger, Arch Enemy, Unleash the Archers... You have just started the long journey. Maybe Beast in Black or Battle Beast in the future?
Liliac- Not Afraid (Official Music Video) Extended Version. Melody Cristea has an 80's vibe as well and can hit the high notes. Melody Cristea is 17 years younger than Brittney Slayes (UTA) though. Also nobody does Dio like Liliac. Dio is Melody's idol. Dio's drummer is a good friend of theirs.
For another awesome Canadian artist, please check out Devin Townsend! He is insanely talented and has a huge back catalogue, with several different bands and spanning several different music genres - extreme metal, prog metal, ambient, country music(!) etc. etc. etc. A few suggestions from just one of his bands, Devin Townsend Project: Kingdom live at EMGtv, Deadhead live at The Royal Albert Hall, Failure live in Plovdiv, Grace (The Retinal Circus), Higher! live 2017
Canadian power metal. They are out of Vancouver, formed in 2007 by lead singer Brittney Slayes(Hayes) and drummer Scott Buchanan. Guitarist Grant Truesdell does the harsh vocals. Brittney also sang a song on the latest from Star One. Star one is another project of Dutch musician Arjen Lucassen. Arjen's main endeavor is a prog rock/metal opera project where he writes the music and invites guest singers and additional musicians to play. If you'd like to check out Ayreon, I recommend 'The Day That The World Breaks Down'. It features 11 different singers from around the world.(you'll recognize at least a couple)
Uh oh! Another rabbit hole! 😈 UTA have so many great songs! I can’t wait to see you discover them all. I always thought that they have a sound that reminds me of Iron Maiden. 🤘🏻
THIS. I'm glad I'm not alone, given I want to hear Brittney cover Hallowed Be Thy Name. Because I think she could do it, and do Iron Maiden justice, along with UtA, given that they did Queenryche's Queen of the Reich justice as a cover.
Nice you like it always get this straiightforward *honest* Speed rock/metal Feel with them, have to admit love the Albums, mostly all concepts, and some woonderffull clinged together in their Themes. Dunno if you are angry at me now, but there is an wonderfull Interview by tCV from march 2, with the SInger, if your into such Things, take an Watch(its an YT Recap/MusicTeacher/proFemalesinger hosting). SO, just as Tip, Elisabeths Interviews are next Level, and they nearly all been there( except floor:(((( ) Stay healthy NWA Bavaria North
this is one of the songs that got me to pick my guitars back up some of the most incredible riffage ever everything they release is mind blowing can't recommend this band enough the look on your face says it all I have one song recommendation: Phantom Of The Opera from Nightwish Live with Tarja on lead vocals. It's absolutely amazing and I have a strong feeling you'll love it
I can see you have great appreciation for great guitar playing, which awesome. Steve Vai - Tender Surrender (live) could be a clip that you would love. 😊

Great, you found another of my favourite band to react to. FYI! Unleash the Archer (Brittney Slayers, CA) - Brittney just participated, as did Floor, to Arjen Anthony Lucassen's Star One new release, Revel in Time, respectively with the songs: "Fate of Man" and "A Hand on the Clock"
Yeah I knew you would love this band and they are from right here in Vancouver!, Pretty awesome to finally have a great metal band to come out of this city. This tune is great but if you want to hear Britney Slayes(singer) at her best you should try there tunes Tonight We Ride or Time Stands Still. Cheers 🤘
Great reaction . Happy that you enjoyed it. They are a really great band. Next suggestion for them from me would be Tonight We Ride, official video. Best wishes from South Africa 🇿🇦
Brittany also sings a song on the new Star One album. It's called Fate of Man. A little background...Star One is another brainchild of Arjen Anthony Lucassen (the same guy behind Ayreon - that is also well worth checking out). All the Star One songs are about sci-fi movies. And Arjen writes most if not all of it. He also plays most of the guitars, bass and keys.
I've been really enjoying your Nightwish reactions and now this. Release the Archers is another mind blowing band that I've enjoyed for a while now! As an OLD guy (I was in college in the mid 70s) I grew up listening to immortal rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush (and the list goes on and on) and I absolutely love seeing a young person like yourself enjoying the same kind of music I'm still so very much in to. Keep it up!! Great reactions - I'm glad I subscribed to your channel!
That grin speaks volumes ❤️ If you like a bit of old school rock Mebbe try some Halestorm. Lzzy Hale is another front woman with a belting voice. A good start point is Love Bites (and so do I) either the official or the Live Room versions. Then there's In This Moment, Big Bad Wolf is one of my favourites. For a bit more obscure choice try British band Ithica, either They Fear Us or Camera Eats First.
Britney Slayes got such a powerful voice, kind of a warrior type.. this song is one of my favorite UTA songs, they got a lot more worth checking out however, i would recomend to check out a totally diffrent kind of song, with Britney´s voice in center, Northward passage, its actually a cover, but really worth checking out.. Else Britney Slayes also have a song on newest Arjen Lucassen album, Star One project, song called Fate of man, also a real cool song..

Awesome reaction again, well done! Such an awesome band, master of catchy super impressive tunes, they all seem great folks too. A good few other music vids of there's out there too. A week with archers and nightwish reactions - just doesn't get better! Keep it going :-)
@JyngerSlapz There's that incredible smile again, virtually from start to finish! Awesome! A few more from UTA I think you'll like - Tonight We Ride, Abyss and Soulbound. Great music videos for all three. Faster Than Light also. The fun video for that one will have you smiling even more (if that was possible!).
Yay! You've found UTA! This perhaps best displays their awesomje instrumental talents; for other perspectives on the vocal goddess, as well as Abyss and Tonight We Ride (already well recommended!), I'd add Northwest Passage and her song from Brindisi (Metal Opera Battles)... noice reaction, you're really getting great recommendations (or picking the good ones!)
This is the first song on their album "Apex". Apex is a concept album that tells a story. Each song continues the story. In fact their next album "Abyss" continues the story. This song is essentially telling the story of an ancient immortal awakening after 1000 years of sleep. The ancient immortal was awakened to do the bidding of ... well, I think a quote says it better; "Lyrically this is a concept album, telling the story bit by bit with each track. Slayes’ character is an immortal, resurrected as an unwilling means for an all-powerful being, the Matriarch, to destroy her offspring and achieve her own immortality. It’s written as a great fantasy novel, with the points of view changing with each song as each character plays their part. Two of the Matriarch’s three sons are symbolic - a politician, a manipulating overlord - so the instrument of their destruction has no remorse in bringing them to their end. But his resolve fails with the third son, who may be more of an innocent - I will say no more… The pivotal songs “Ten Thousand Against One” and “Earth And Ashes” mark this plot twist. And the closer, the outstanding title track (streaming below), is weary, aching, and poignant." Since I discovered this band through another reaction channel I'm hooked on them, almost as much as I'm hooked on Nightwish! The next most reacted to song from this band is "Tonight we Ride" ... which is not part of this concept album but is from an earlier album, and this song gives you more of a real taste of what she can do. Britney is truly a very talented vocalist. And as others have said, the band is really down to earth and love their fans. I've heard of some of them, after a show, going to a local karaoke bar and have a little fun!
How great was that !🥰And a great reaction too..- I'll add this recommendation... 'WINTERSUN - Sons Of Winter And Stars (TIME I Live Rehearsals At Sonic Pump Studios) REMASTER' ..With some familiar faces: Kai (NW drums) & Jukka (NW bass)..(Almost forgot.. Brace yourself, that one is a bit long but worth it)
Of the high caliber female vocalists you have reacted to, you are missing a good one. Maria Brink from the band "In this Moment". Trust me. People usually start with the song "Whore" but she really shows her versatility in "Fighter". Here is hoping you will see this, keep up the great reactions.
Yup....next UTA song needs to be Tonight We Ride.....Brittney really shows out on that video.....really, they do in every song to be honest. Just the tip of a world class metal band listening extravaganza!.
Yes... daughter of Dio... Now please,,, WITHIN TEMPTATION - DON'T PRAY FOR ME... Just released 2 months ago... Just around the time of Sharon's 48th birthday
You've got to react to Apex next. this album and the next are a single story when played start to finish. (edit) The change in vocals/singers are character changes for the story.
I'm glad you got to see that one. Kicked ass for sure!! \m/. I haven't seen you react to any Dream Theater and this one will totally blow you away. Please Please Please react to "Dream Theater - The Shattered Fortress ( Live From The Boston Opera House) - with lyrics". It's Freakin' Awesome!! LINK: th-cam.com/video/Fq8KRHpjeMA/w-d-xo.html

All of these Jynger!
Awesome! Looking forward to check these out! Thank you😊

FALSE WALLS, if need for a slower paced tune arises... different tonal qualities from Britttt
You should hear Britney sing operatic with Lords Of Trident…fun video too! She is an archangel!
5000 today! Congratulations 👏
Much Love to you and Ukraine

This band hasn't disappointed.
Cleans the Bloodlines is a bad ass song as well. There are a bunch of good ones! Brittney is amazing the way she sings.
That smile was PLASTERED on your face for the entire song :D
Yup she's busted another uta fan in the making 😆
One of the best bands doing it today!
One new band at a time we metalheads will conquer the world! Nightwish, Jinger, Arch Enemy, Unleash the Archers... You have just started the long journey. Maybe Beast in Black or Battle Beast in the future?
I'd add in a few bands to that list:
- Eleine
- Ignea
- Wind Rose
- Volturian
- Bloodywood
Brit is an absolute beast.
She's often referred to as "the female Bruce Dickenson." I recommend you react to Saboton "Bismark." It's another awesome song!
Given her liking of Floor Jansen, I actually think that Christmas Truce is a better introductory track to Sabaton.
@@isaiahwelch8066 Good point!👍
Tonight We Ride by Unleash the Archers would be an awesome follow-up to this song imho, but that's all up to you.
For another awesome Canadian artist, please check out Devin Townsend! He is insanely talented and has a huge back catalogue, with several different bands and spanning several different music genres - extreme metal, prog metal, ambient, country music(!) etc. etc. etc.

Sticking with Unleash the Archers in this suggestion, you should watch "Faster Than Light", and "Tonight We Ride". Their music videos are so much fun.
Nigthwish really does open a whole bunch of new doors. So much good music we hadn't discovered on our own.

IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME!
AWAKENING (2017)
To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed
To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same
This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace
A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way
Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end
Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die
My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name
It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream
I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse
My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth
Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die
Come to me, awakening
Follow my voice, come to me
Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never
Lighting my way in the night
To roam; to never die

thats very greatests masterpiece unleash the archers apex classic album. I love unleash the archers the true power metal. thanks jynger slapz ❤

TEST YOUR METAL!!!
ANY UTA is Good UTA
( gotta be careful typing that... a one-letter-error in their acronym changes the context, entirely. )
I like @Frank Puncekar's suggested list... one more round with vocal gymnastics, then some studio-candy.
UTAA's musicians are second to none.
Their current bassplayer is quite adequate and he and the band members fit well.
The player from this video 2017 is an absolute monster (Nikko Whitworth). He also plays jazz and classical bass.
His right-hand technique here is one that I need to learn... it is "economy in motion", personified. His lines are so fast and there is ZERO unneeded arm-motion. If I could translate it to guitar, I would Win The Interverse
Anyway, have fun with UTA.
As talented as they are, they don't take themselves overly serious, and they have semi-regular Twitch gatherings (like Wings-n-Hot-Sauce taste testing sessions.
And hey, they're Canadian... so they don't tend to put on those pompous rockstar airs in conversation.
It's a bit like hanging with the kids who made your parents only slightly nervous.

Damn Brittany can sing .Great reaction
In my opinion Brittney has the best power metal voice since young Michael Kiske.
Yes you need to jump down this rabbit hole. UTA and Brittney Slays is super talented 👏 and fun 😊
Whats next? BEAST IN BLACK of course :) Blind And Frozen
Great reaction Jynger! I knew you would enjoy this based upon other songs you've listened to. Thank you!
