    Might not look like a big thing, but being able to see so easy where a signal is present is absolutely awesome! How come no one earlier thought of this one? Amazing! I am SO happy, I went over to Reaper!!!

    The new timestretching algorithm sounds a lot like SoundTouch, but with more settings. That's amazing for making glitchy sound design, though I wish we could somehow smoothly change the fade length.

    Rearearea sounds like a badas sound design tool in the right context. Another great update to the best DAW ever.

    In Snap/Grid Settings, just below the middle section of the window, there's Media Item Snap At, which gives an option for snapping both at start or end of items.

    Love the ReaReaRea. Would be nice if the grain size could be automated like you can in Ableton, oh well. Also great to see such a fast update since v6.74 was playing up with regards to some added Ableton Live like functionality and synchronising packages gave a "pinned" error...anyway, all is sorted with v6.75. Nice!

    Thanks for the update!, i will be using ReaReaRea for sure will test it out, i like the other one Reeeeaaaa stretch
    Want to hear a neat trick i saw about elastic pitch? for Spiritbox hit song called Holler Roller they double the guitars like normally for hard rock/metal, but they made a 2nd set of the doubled guitar and elastic pitch it down one octave and just changed the eq's on the amp sims slightly. sounds what you would called thick and Chunky, i saw the mixing engineer talk about it on a youtube channel.

    I’m working on a track right now and have a great groove with the help of rearearea, you definitely have to play with it, but can get really interesting results. But I’m into the chaotic polyrhythmic thing so tastes may vary

    I wouldn't mind some size increase of the reaper install file but i hope they include some virtual instruments, loops and sounds and some graphics on plugins in the future.

    Greetings.. I love your videos always, i have a question here, i don't know how to clearly explain but, a kick sample with 4 bars stretch and item envelope from high pitch to low doesn't produce any sound or i could just hear one click of sound in "ReaReaRea". Couldn't reaper play high pitch envelope, this is the situation for all pitch modes in reaper(most of them). Help me!

    Do you have a video about why Reaper files go missing? Or if there is any video on that subject, I'd love to watch it. I save my paths properly, (or so I think) and it works fine, but then usually about a week later it "loses" the files and forces me to browse for the file. What is going on?

    • @rumginray
      @rumginray ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm on a Mac and Every time I've ever had that happen is when I've either changed the filename or moved the files/folder with the original. Typically you can do this in other mac apps, so I was surprised it loses stuff in Reaper. I think if you set prefs to 'move file when importing' it should mitigate the issue -- unless you change the name of the file or move them afterwards.

    Hi, is there a script for quick playback with playrate 1.0 without changing the playrate settings? I usually work with higher playrate but sometimes I need to check something at the original speed.
