    Well that was brilliant. He's still one of Reaper's best feature after all these years.

    I am reasonably sure I am never gonna use this. But this was really cool to watch. Master Wizardry at work here.

    The power in this program never stops amazing me. And without these videos, the quality of them, the content, the really easy explanations of potentially hard topics, and the reasonable length, I'd never ever know about 95% of it. That said, sometimes it's depressing, too, as a one-man band, because the amount of horsepower you are competing against to get your music to sound as good as the stuff you hear on the radio produced by a small platoon of engineers that know all of these tricks just isn't feasible for one person to do in their spare time.

      I'd say just concern yourself with your music and develop what you're looking to hear. Comparing yourself to others is a bottomless rabbit hole and if you're constantly going to do that, you might as well give up ;) I basically do what I want because I don't really have an end game and somehow (I have no idea) my little diddies and cues have attracted me 1000 subs and a couple of videos with decent viewership for a noob - as I certainly don't consider myself a pro like the guys you mention or even as a "creator" as these guys are called now. I just do me and could careless what everyone else does, in the scope of creating *my* own music...
      But with this, you have to hone your skills to be sure and Kenny's videos will help you 100%! Shit, I struggled for years in Reaper without any tutorials. That's the greatest thing. You mention how robust it is, and the features can and will make your head spin but it doesn't mean you have to use or even learn a lot of these intricacies to make great sounding music.

      Over polished music is so overrated, THe Cure's first album was made on a 16 track and it's awesome! Then a few years later it was all 128 track studios and all sounded the same, kind of, most of the best music is made on a smaller budget and has idiosyncrasy's that you wouldn't get with a team of musical surgeons going about it....anyway it's the song and music that counts, can't polish a turd and all that? You hear about the English Eurovision fall as apparently the vocal tuning machine, whatever they are, failed so that the person who couldn't sing sounded like someone who couldn't sing instead of someone who could sing! Can't write this shit, just keep on going, write something cool! ;D

The Daw recognizes the VYPYR tho did I miss something …??? HELP!!!!! I’ve been waiting months on this laptop to come and now I can’t get my guitar amp via usb connection to work right !!!

    really cool stuff. as more of a new user, i probably would have duplicated the midi across 3 diff synth tracks and used volume envelopes or automation to achieve the desired blending of the 3 synths, but this is really helpful to see

      Yeah. You can do that. But it would be harder to visualize how they relate to each other.

    id like to take a cheap laptop and use my midi plugins live - how could one set up a session where by i can switch between sounds and patches by way of keyboard hotkeys or midi buttons o my controller? ive worked out a method where ive multiple channels set up with a plugin on each and have assigned the buttons to simply record-arm the track, but there has to be a better way im sure. thank you kenny

    I am absolutely remixing my Kenn-O-Manics track I made using this these techniques. Should have the new version live in a day or 2. Feel free to visit my youtube page now to watch the original version! Its a little dry, but not bad for a 1 day project. Thanks Kenny! 🤘🤘

    I'm actually trying to recreate something like this, but more in "glitchy" way, where for instance just one note from each synth plays in a "ramdom" choice
    for that i'm using JS 8 channel Input Switcher, instead of automating the volume sliders, automating the channel output, and i even trying to mod the script in a way where the number of sliders is equal to the number of track sends to the outrput/father/master track for that synth. so i can use it for every case, but had no result for that until now.
    But seeing this, made me start to think in a more clean way to achieve the result i expect, idk maybe trying to automate the volumes faders into null to zero volume square automation, but idk if i can make the randomization of the fader that will receive that automation...
    any help is appreciatted :)

    Nice. Not what I expected from the title ... I mean to me this is x-fading not morphing. Great technique though .

    • @deltank
      @deltank ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you are true, it's x-fading (level change) and not morphing (value interpolation).
