If u can play this song on guitar, bass or drums, u can play just about any other song. One of the greatest songs by them.

If you can play a number of Rush songs on guitar you will notice how the chord shapes are connected. Absolutely, Alex has a style all his own, the mark of a true master! Its one thing for us to be able to play his guitar work, and something else completely to conceive it. The same can be said for Geddy and Neil. I warm up by playing Rush everytime I pick up a guitar or Bass. But, with drums, I may be able to keep a beat in time. But don't even know where to start, if attempting to play anything by Neil.

I can on guitar (ok, everything but the full solo, it's just how it is), but I still can't quite get the Spirit of Radio riff solidified.

I still think the solo starting at 3:35 is the greatest guitar solo in rock history. Those swells Alex does at the begining are tougher than they sound. Many people think it opens with keyboard. Nope, that's all guitar.

Really? How so? there's precious little connection between the video and the song. The Danforth and Pape signs are the only connection I see. There's the brain, which is on the cover of the album/CD. Seems almost entirely arbitrary.

I don't think the video has anything to do with Peart's cancer. The album is called "Hemispheres", and the cover shows a man in a suit and a naked ballet dancer, who are both standing on opposite hemispheres of the brain (commonly referred to as the "logical" and "creative" sides of the brain). So that's why the video shows lots of brains. And the street signs are there because of the name of a part of the song.

Vevo and TH-cam are quite interested in Rush in 2018. This 40-year-old song just got a fresh, high-definition concept video attached to it. You don't see too many other old musicians, singers, and artists having their old music repackaged in this way. Maybe there's something to this band's music - something that still is exciting and refreshing that can can continue to attract media giants for exploitation and profit.

Just because you don’t understand the video doesn’t make it bad. Everything is there for a reason. The people at the beginning are moving in sync with the music, there are three brains in the tube for the three members of the band, etc. It all means something, you just have to make an effort to understand it.

That Rush only have around 200k TH-cam subscribers is really interesting. In modern music marketing terms, that's relatively small fry. But it is testament to the fact that your worth as an artist or band is most definitely NOT measured by these numbers.

You can’t guarantee this. For every Rush, there were a thousand other bands who never got off the ground and you’ve never heard of. All forced to break up and find wage jobs.
I’m all for letting kids express themselves artistically but let’s not pretend to make any guarantees 😂

That thing holding the 3 brains is the very device Geddy, Neil, and Alex used to write this song. They literally had to invent a device that could unlock 100% of human brain capacity in order to learn enough about music to write this song. I'm not lying...and even if I am, it's still believable
