Great video once again, dude. I am really getting a kick out of these featuring more obscure titles as always. Actually just picked up Yoda Stories in the big box the other day, looking forward to trying it out finally!
Night Shift is probably one of the strangest uses of the Star Wars license that comes to mind. The game revolved around keeping a factory that manufactures Star Wars toys running smoothly. It was actually quite a lot of fun.
My memory of obscure star wars games is Star Wars: Droid Works, a puzzle/learning game that I eventually couldn't beat because I got stuck on the last level. Thanks for sharing, I had never heard of most of these games.
We ran Masters of Teras Kasi in a random tournament at a local anime convention. The best part about it was the audience chanting, "HOAR! HOAR! HOAR!" and people wondering what the hell is going on.
I had so much fun cooperatively playing Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles. It played almost like a3D Double Dragon with lightsabers. Probably doesn't hold up today but I have fond memories.
Great episode as always man! Really liked it. And thanks for letting me know you where making this before you uploaded, cool of you. Here's my History of Star Wars part 1 for anyone interested - The History of Star Wars Video Games - Part 1: The 80's - it's a very different style to this one, I'm going through everyone from start to finish! Currently up to part 2 :)
Great video MJR! Just finished watching Glenn Plant's "Month of Star Wars" and was looking to get back into the series. Totally forgot about some of these games. Thanks again for shedding some light on them!
I used to love Star Wars: Demolition on PS1, but then I lent it to my friend and he broke the disc. As retribution, he gave me Mission Impossible (without the jewel case and booklet). Looking back, that was more of an insult than an apology.
I have KOTOR on my iPad and although I'd love to get into it, I just don't like turn based fighting systems. Metal Jesus ... I just finished listening to the latest All Gen Gamers podcast today. You fellas are great ... thanks for the show. Keep smiling ... it confuses 'em!
That t-shirt. Anyway, i remember the Indiana Jones version of the Yoda Stories game, too. Those games were really repetitive, since the screens were not really randomized, but put together in a different order.
This is so awesome- great episode Metal Jesus, a few of these i had never heard of. Good call on the psp one, lethal alliance. I love the dark forces games, gonna have to check that one out now for myself
Rebel Assault, the Empire Strikes Back arcade cabinet, Jango Fett , the clone wars, the PC port of the Star Wars arcade game, the weird Star Wars NES games, Jedi Arena for the 2600, and Star Wars pinball. Republic Commando, and the xwing series are hidden gems but loved by fans.
I actually owned and still own both Star Wars Monopoly and Star Wars Demolition. Got them both back in the day when I was growing up. Fun games. Awesome vid as always, MJR!
Love the list man! Some of those look crazy lol. Question... did you ever play the Descent series? Those were great gems for me. If you made a video on those that would be awesome!
I completely forgot about the Star Wars fighting game for the Playstation. You just brought back bad memories of renting it as a child & being stuck with it over the weekend. That's when I learned that, just because it had the Star Wars license, doesn't mean it's automatically going to be a good game.
One of the strangest Star Wars games I've ever played is called Gungan Frontier on the PC. It's sort of like a weird terraforming/evolution thing (think a *really* primitive version of Spore). It was never my cup of tea, although I wonder if others had a different experience? Awesome video, by the way! I love Demolition.
i say the forgotten star wars game i played was bounty hunter and it was a fun third person shooter / exploration in some levels but over all i had a blast with it on the gamecube
Great Vid as always Jason ! Just watched this as I'm about to finish work with a strong coffee ! :-) Great start to the weekend ! Now for something stronger ! ;-)
Star Wars Episode 1 for PSX/PC comes to mind. It didn't get great reviews, but there are people who still play the game to this day. The Tattooine levels were just a great mix of RPG and Free Roaming. The fact that you could talk to anyone and kill anyone made the level really fun. There are some really funny videos scattered around TH-cam of things you can do and say in the game.
I played a lot of the Star Wars Chess on our DOS machine when I was little. It looked like it was running WAY slower than I remember on yours. Also played a crapload of Yoda Stories...it was great for messing around.
Star Wars Demolition is one of my favorites! Rogue Squadron seems to be very enjoyable from my childhood memories. Used to love playing it on the PC, and i rarely hear anyone discuss that one.
There was a puzzle game that came out back around Episode one, Star Wars Pit Droids I think. There was also an "interactive story book" that came out around the same time. And a personal favourite where you worked on a Jawa Sandcrawler making droids. But I can't find record of any of these games on wikipedia.
For some reason I thought you had posted this just this week and I was like "he shaved off the goatee!" and I thought I was missing out on something :)
There was a Star Wars game for the European version of the RCA Studio II - believed to be the first Star Wars video game, no one can seem to ascertain if it was officially licensed or not.
I actually kind of like the Star Wars game on Famicom, it's pretty fun. Aside from that I also liked Bounty Hunter and Jedi Academy though no one else seems to.
Dude, you should try "Star Wars Droidworks"...super interesting game for kids, where you build your own droids and get given challenges you have to do with your design. Really funky but super cool
FYI according to Guinness book of records gamer edition 2014 there are 296 Star Wars titles across 44 platforms! Wow George really milked it! now it Disney's turn!
Im making a text based game in command prompt right now, im wondering if I could possibly move up to making games like Yoda Stories, I want to make something similar since im not big on working on text only projects.
My favourite Star Wars game is probably Mysteries Of The Sith - classic! Btw, you ever going to do a part 2 to your 80s metal bands video? I'd love to see that if you ever got the time.
Yoda Stories was awesome to mess around on! There was also Indiana Jones Desktop Adventures. It was pretty much Yoda Stories with Indy except it came first.
Oh god, I had that racing-game back in the day. I truly regret it, even if it was only a pirated copy. And speaking of strange/obscure Star Wars-games I happened to own, there's also this little "gem" called Star Wars Droidworks.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars was a game during the Xbox/PS2/GCN era that I thought was quite odd, simply because of the shoe-horned in on-foot missions that were really awkward and funny because of the running animations. However, the vehicular combat was awesome, especially in multiplayer.
I loved that Starwars Monopoly game. Plus I would like to say that Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi is a hard game to learn but once you put the hours in is a fun and awesome game. I have many memories of this game and playing it with my friends.
The stand alone Star Wars Lightsaber Battle Game would fit this bill I think. Do you have that? I think it was released by Tiger. Had you flay your lightsaber arm around like mad before the Wii was around! Mostly forgotten, but pretty nifty still, especially seeing how the last motion controlled SW game worked out...
My all time favorite is the old atari, stand up arcade cabinet with wire frame graphics! I'm glad you said demolition! That game rocked! I loved masters of teris kasi to. It was a good game to play a with others plus all the extra outfits you could unlock(like Lea's slave outfit). I was sorry to see that you didn't cover Rebel Assault II. That was a rocking game to!
The actual, physical Monopoly Star Wars game was and still is a favorite of mine to play from time to time. It's actually what I think of the instant someone says Monopoly. I would also consider it one of the best looking Monopoly games ever made simply because of the craftsmanship involved. Most other title specific Monopoly games don't look nearly as nice.
Star Wars Empire At War seems to have been forgotten, though that might just be me, and I also would say Star Wars Battle for Naboo could fall into this as it seems to be wedged between both Rogue Squadron 1 and 2.
I played the dark force back in the 1990's. Since rouge one is coming out. I want to play it again and then play lethal alliance. I now the PSP has LA and dark force in the game shop. But is the game store on a PSP can you still buy games on it?
I have force commander. Fun to play in skirmish mode, and the command point system was interesting. But the tutorial got me stuck, the camera handling part was stingy
I think 2 kind of forgotten Star Wars games are first, Star Wars Republic Commando, an awesome fps which MJR did a great review of. And second, Star Wars Clone Wars, which was actually made by the same guys that made Battlefront and you can see some influences from this game in Battlefront.
Wow first thing I thought of when I saw the title was, "Star Wars Chess, I loved that game". Surprised to see you hated it, I loved the sounds that played with each character's moves, the awesome battles and sound bites when you defeated a piece etc. I don't remember mine running that slowly but maybe it's been too long. I still have my copy so maybe I'll pull it out and give it a go.
Excellent theme for a video, Ive seen countless top 10-20 star wars games, but it was really cool for those odd games to get a mention this time, they all can't be Episode-1 Racer or Super Empire Strikes Back, but as long as they are star wars themed and a video game, they are worth a look. Some games that I would of like to have seen mentioned are Star Wars Bounty Hunter the Jango Fett game, it wasn't perfect but some neat ideas in that game, specially the free roaming sections. SW Battlefront Elite Squadron on the NDS is a surprisingly good twin stick shooter style game. Star Wars for the SMS/NES is a game that is not very good, but worth a look.
Do you have Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds in your collection? Great game that plays like Age of Empires. At the time I was disappointed with Force Commander when they made the move from 2D Command & Conquer style to 3D which was just a mess but ended up finishing anyway and thought it was pretty good.
Great video once again, dude. I am really getting a kick out of these featuring more obscure titles as always. Actually just picked up Yoda Stories in the big box the other day, looking forward to trying it out finally!
The good old Yoga Stories, spent hours on it when I was really young. Loved it as well as Indiana Jones and his desktop adventures!
Night Shift is probably one of the strangest uses of the Star Wars license that comes to mind. The game revolved around keeping a factory that manufactures Star Wars toys running smoothly. It was actually quite a lot of fun.

"Teräs Käsi" is Finnish and means "Steel Hand" :D
I'm glad to know Finnish was spoken in a galaxy far far away ;)
I guess that’s similar to tekken which means iron fist in English.
Great video MJR! Just finished watching Glenn Plant's "Month of Star Wars" and was looking to get back into the series. Totally forgot about some of these games. Thanks again for shedding some light on them!

Metal Jesus ... I just finished listening to the latest All Gen Gamers podcast today.
You fellas are great ... thanks for the show.
Keep smiling ... it confuses 'em!
I always loved Star Wars Rebellion for the PC and I rarely hear that one talked about.
I always love your videos focusing on more obscure titles. You have a great collection!
That t-shirt.
Anyway, i remember the Indiana Jones version of the Yoda Stories game, too. Those games were really repetitive, since the screens were not really randomized, but put together in a different order.
Did you ever heard of Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds?
It's basically a Star Wars RTS made using the Age Of Empires 2 engine.
This is so awesome- great episode Metal Jesus, a few of these i had never heard of. Good call on the psp one, lethal alliance. I love the dark forces games, gonna have to check that one out now for myself

OMFG MY INTERNET STOPPED AND CUT OUT JUST AS YOU SAID "It's Not" I'M CRYING
MetalJesus is awesome. And always positive.
So glad I found him. Fav youtuber!!
Hey MJR, I've almost finished my Star Wars Game collection, thanks for this awesome video mate.
Jedi Power Battles for PS1 and Dreamcast is one of my favorite star wars games of all time and it doesn't get enough love
I have so many good memories with Masters of the Teras Kasi! I get that it was dumb, but man was it fun to play on the couch with a friend!
I'm actually glad you covered SW: Demolition, was looking to get a Dreamcast and saw that game was on it.
Idk as a small child I couldn't get enough of that Star Wars chess game, loved the way they put the animations in.
Love the list man! Some of those look crazy lol.
Question... did you ever play the Descent series? Those were great gems for me. If you made a video on those that would be awesome!

Star Wars monopoly was one of my favorite games growing up and i had the same board in real life.
Metal Jesus rocks
For some reason I thought you had posted this just this week and I was like "he shaved off the goatee!" and I thought I was missing out on something :)
a game I liked that doesn't get much mentioned is starwars bounty hunter. you play as jango fett and ties up a few things between episode 1 and 2
There was a Star Wars game for the European version of the RCA Studio II - believed to be the first Star Wars video game, no one can seem to ascertain if it was officially licensed or not.
I actually kind of like the Star Wars game on Famicom, it's pretty fun. Aside from that I also liked Bounty Hunter and Jedi Academy though no one else seems to.
I know this is a really old comment, but who doesn't like Bounty Hunter?
Just found your channel and the combinaton of metal&video games is awesome keep up the vids man im subbing.
STAR WARS Demolition is a very interesting concept for SW game.
Here's a rare one. Star wars galactic assault.
It's like doom but star wars. It was a shareware game that came out in the mid 90s
95 or 97.
Star Wars Droidworks for PC! Made 1998 a great year for me.
I remember playing Yoda Stories as a kid, great video!
Demolition! As a kid I remember seeing it only once when I was very young but I somehow, I've never forgotten it.
Dude, you should try "Star Wars Droidworks"...super interesting game for kids, where you build your own droids and get given challenges you have to do with your design. Really funky but super cool
I loved Star Wars Chess as a kid.I liked seeing the animations. Yeah, it is slow but I didn't mind too much.
Star Wars: Rebellion ...you missed it...it is a forgotten one !
I played the Masters of Teras Kasi with my neighbors. We played it for like 10 minutes and never talked about ti again.
FYI according to Guinness book of records gamer edition 2014 there are 296 Star Wars titles across 44 platforms! Wow George really milked it! now it Disney's turn!
As a Jabba the Hutt fan, I'd vote for Star Wars Math: Jabba's Game Galaxy. Definitely a bit of a weird one -- sort of an edutainment title.
Oh I need that Revolver meets Star Wars t-shirt...where'd ya get that??
Redbubble [dot] com
MetalJesusRocks
Gracias!
If it isn't already, Odd and Forgotten would be an awesome recurring theme for you to do. Barbie series next.
I seem to recall seeing a weird pit droid Episode I tie-in in stores back then. ..Star Wars: Pit Droids?
Great Star Wars/The Beatles Revolver t-shirt! Mind sharing where you bought it please?
Yoda Stories was awesome to mess around on! There was also Indiana Jones Desktop Adventures. It was pretty much Yoda Stories with Indy except it came first.
Oh god, I had that racing-game back in the day. I truly regret it, even if it was only a pirated copy.
And speaking of strange/obscure Star Wars-games I happened to own, there's also this little "gem" called Star Wars Droidworks.
I actually knew about Demolition, Superbombad Racing, and Masters of Teras Kasi.... I continually rented them from my local video store.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars was a game during the Xbox/PS2/GCN era that I thought was quite odd, simply because of the shoe-horned in on-foot missions that were really awkward and funny because of the running animations. However, the vehicular combat was awesome, especially in multiplayer.
the star wars RTS game based off the age of empires 2 engine was pretty awesome, forgot what it was called though. great video
I loved that Starwars Monopoly game. Plus I would like to say that Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi is a hard game to learn but once you put the hours in is a fun and awesome game. I have many memories of this game and playing it with my friends.
Holy shit Star Wars: Demolition was amazing when I was a kid
I used to play the demo for Star Wars: Demolition all the time. It was a blast!
Do you have a top 10 best Star Wars games?
I remember playing Star Wars: Jedi Power Battle a lot on my old PS1. Not many people remember that game now unfortunately..
So great that you included Lethal Alliance! Not only is it an obscure and fun game but I designed the official game site!
Oh really? That's pretty cool!
MetalJesusRocks Oh yeah, built that almost a decade ago too!
METAL JESUS ROCKS
Is that shirt a reference to revolver?? So sick!! Also dang almost forgot about demolition! I loved that game! So much fun! XD
Thanks for the honest review ... checking out tiny death star now
Hey guy,
Really love you!!!
But two question:
Do you also have a ps3/4
And do you also play some of the modern games like GTA V and that stuff?
The stand alone Star Wars Lightsaber Battle Game would fit this bill I think. Do you have that? I think it was released by Tiger. Had you flay your lightsaber arm around like mad before the Wii was around! Mostly forgotten, but pretty nifty still, especially seeing how the last motion controlled SW game worked out...

I used to play the crap outta Yoda Stories. I was never quite sure what was going on, but man did I play and play.
Glad you covered Yoda stories! I played that, but forgot the name.
Yoda Stories...Ah how I loved that game.... Oh...and Star Wars Rebellion!
Star Wars Empire At War seems to have been forgotten, though that might just be me, and I also would say Star Wars Battle for Naboo could fall into this as it seems to be wedged between both Rogue Squadron 1 and 2.
More Star Wars games videos, this was awesome!!!
Metal Jesus and im back again... How did I know you were going to say that.
Love that Revolver inspired t-shirt...cool!
Great video! I love collecting all Star Wars games.
Thank you sir, well researched and well presented.
I played the dark force back in the 1990's. Since rouge one is coming out. I want to play it again and then play lethal alliance. I now the PSP has LA and dark force in the game shop. But is the game store on a PSP can you still buy games on it?
You missed Star Wars Rebel Assault, Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, I loved those games as a kid, and Star Wars Rebellion had awesome artwork
Hey man, where did you get that shirt, I must get one! Awesome videos, thanks for posting these!
I like how in the Chess game Chewbacca gives a Stormtrooper a overhead press slam then a double foot stomp.
You left out that PC game about the ecosystem on Naboo. That game was pretty unique.
Whoa. Metal Jesus went full AVGN at 5:19
I have force commander.
Fun to play in skirmish mode, and the command point system was interesting.
But the tutorial got me stuck, the camera handling part was stingy

And second, Star Wars Clone Wars, which was actually made by the same guys that made Battlefront and you can see some influences from this game in Battlefront.
I was so excited to get gungan frontier as a kid. Then to find out it wasn't an RTS lol
Haha, I was pretty much waiting for Yoda Stories to come up.
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds was sorta a fun RTS game . from the creators of Age of Empires series
2:22-2:33
Oh god I remember having that game. I didn't have any fun memories about it and it ain't no Virtua Fighter or Soul Calibur.
Excellent theme for a video, Ive seen countless top 10-20 star wars games, but it was really cool for those odd games to get a mention this time, they all can't be Episode-1 Racer or Super Empire Strikes Back, but as long as they are star wars themed and a video game, they are worth a look.
