I've got the 2009 model : I've never had any PB with it !!! plenty of fun 😊😊😊 reliable, comfortable, ( Can ride It hours, ).The con : the fuel tank is unfortunatly too small ! 😩2016 & I Still ride the hyper .Tom made a perfect comment on his first test ride ! Thumb up .
Loved the video. My goodness your country is stunning, I would love to do a tour down there one day. Canada is beautiful in its own way but our riding season is relatively short. I'm going to check out the rest of your videos. G'day.
Recently subbed. And I appreciate the vlog/test ride of the Hypermotard 796. I almost bought one, but decided to go with a classic ducati monster (02 750Sie). As long as your out sharing the wind on a bike, it's all good !! SpeedSafe ...
You counter-steer exactly the same way with your ninja, lol. All bikes above like ~10-15 (depending on rake, trail, tire width, cog, etc.). You may feel it more because of a slightly longer rake on the motard + different bars (motards usually have wider bars for better fork input).
It's completely different. I would say the hypermotard would be better as a commuter because it's a bit more comfortable and more fuel efficient but I really think both bikes could be used as a commuter.
He bought the 2013 ZX6-R (636cc). Pretty rad bike. Tom and I have similar tastes but I think I'd rather have the Ducati or Triumph over the Kawi. The 2013 Hyperstrada looks like a bike I'd buy!!!
I've ridden the 2013 821 hypermoto. It was maaad. So fun to drive and lots of power (110hp) But just to be clear, it's not a pure super-moto. It's way to heavy for that. It's more of a mixture between a supermoto and a naked street bike. I've ridden a Husaberg 550 motard which is just above 100kg. Belive me that's light and nimble!
You know, simple factual things like this are so easy to look up in the 21st Century, it boggles the mind of how people can get them wrong. The 796 does NOT have more HP than an R6. More torque? Absolutely.
hi, nice video!!! what are your thoughts on this bike as a starter bike.i will get my licence hopefully next week and i am thinking about buying a used 796.keep up the good work and have fun and drive safe. :-)
The 1100cc version has a *much* bigger torque kick than the 796cc version, which feels comparitively limp wristed. However, it has much poorer manners around town. Try it out!
Yarra boulevard is the best road near the city for test riding, I live near there. This is a wussy question, but when you got off your restrictions where you nervous to test ride bikes at all? Im on a 250 motard, so used to the upright position and how the bike handles. Where you ever worried you would drop a dealerships bike because you weren't used to power or something? I was looking at getting a KTM 690SMC-r but too rare and costs 15K, this looks like it would be more practical
Heya, what's your oppinion on the degree of crampness/sitting confort? Are 825cm of seat height enough for a 185 tall guy? Also did you manage to make an idea on the average mpg? Thank you for your time.
Hey man. you look quite tall. Was the Ducati comfortable? How tall are you? I am looking at one now and wondering whether to waste time to go test it. im 6.3 tall (around 193cm). Cheers!
There is a difference between a Supermoto and Supermotard, you'll find a supermoto is a more dirtbike converted to streetbike while a supermotard is a supersport crossed with a supermoto.
Personally, The only Ducati I like is the SuperBike. I never really liked the sound of Ducati's to much. To low to be like a Japanese racing bike but to high to be a big american cruiser
He's riding alongside with the Ducati representative, the guy on the other bike, and that's why he doesn't go bat shit with it. He even said so in the vid.. Did you even watch it..?
Terry Ryan Well you're an idiot sir, I know and you know that you wouldn't do anything like that if you were in Tom's position. And that attitude while riding a bike is gonna get you killed.
Thomas....I'm guessing you may have missed this test ride before you did yours:) I could see you doing this...Make them bring you to the track.... th-cam.com/video/Stmu0PEUQX4/w-d-xo.html

Nice vid Tom, great format, like the camera angle and the live commentary is wicked. Oh, and the bike is cool too :-) Did you ride the 848 as well?
How does this compare to the MT09?
What's the comparison of Ducati Hypermotard vs KTM 690 SMC?
Dont forget the husqvarna 701
I totally saw that stall coming. Happens to me when I try to ride too gently. :)
I've got the 1100s version... fricking looooove it.

I found out about these in terminator salvation behind the scenes . this is what they based and build the moto terminators from.
Jessie, don't buy a bike because it's practical. Just buy it cause you know that's the bike you want...
are there reviews of the other 2 bikes by you ?

Great review btw!
Hey Tom i just discovered you and of course subscribed! Love your videos. For me if you did a test on the RSV4 it would be amazing. Cheers! : )

How much tall are you? What inseam?
at 08:25 and 35 why didn't you counter steer? it should be lot more fun on a hypermotard.
What did you have to do to test drive the bike?
I wouldn't ride anything but a motard now. Nothing compares.
You should call / e-mail Suzuki to test drive the Hayabusa 1300 ;)
the panic at 17:00 is just priceless
What kind off kit you are wearing ?
they're made to fold in when hit for riding in the woods ao they're small, but yes, they should be better
is the clutch light?
Those mirrors look pretty bad. Thoughts?
20+ years ago a bunch of masked 2 wheel warriors rode knee down through that the twisty section of road
have you looked at the FZ8 yet?
Maybe Super Duke or RC8?
Ahahaha, at 1:24 when you rev, that guy runs for it xD
"STOP BEING A NOOB TOM!" lol
what the top speed .. this Hypermotard ?
is that a 2012?
Sucks that you have to have a dealer rider with you. Don't have that over here.
This bike should suit your type of zipping through cars....streetfighter.
Damn...that's a nice bike.
I love motard and this will be mine ( hope)
Would you recommend the ducati hypermotard for a beginer
I have a new street triple video now up
try out the Triumph 675 :)
How tall are You?
Too on / off gez. Own one (and others) The baby air cooled 796. Still a fun scooter ....
The other bikers must think you're a right nob talking to yourself lol
I miss Melbourne

Guff review...not a single lofted front wheel
He's riding alongside with the Ducati representative, the guy on the other bike, and that's why he doesn't go bat shit with it. He even said so in the vid.. Did you even watch it..?
Dont get off your bike chief...ride it like you stole it or stay in bed....
Terry Ryan Well you're an idiot sir, I know and you know that you wouldn't do anything like that if you were in Tom's position. And that attitude while riding a bike is gonna get you killed.
Stay in bed mate....
Well....fun police....doing a wheelie hear and there is having a bit of fun...u keep rockin around on your high horse...I bid u good day sir.....
Hypermotard is a name, not a class of bikes. Strictly speaking, they're still supermotos.
