Australian and Torres Strait Islander, Pacific Islander, and Maori peoples have contributed soooo much to the NRL and AFL. The game wouldn't be the same without them. The young men that come to play in Oz are on the whole very humble, which is possibly due to their cultures that promote humility and living an honorable, family-based lifestyle. Kaitlyn, I know you are an Eagles (American NFL) fan, but I didn't know you were an Eels fan as well. Good to see you've taken an interest in NRL.
Sivo has such an amazing and touching story! I tear up every time I hear it. The grand final was heartbreaking as a lifelong Parra fan who is yet to see a premiership title come our way
similar thing in AFL with players from places like Tiwi Islands etc. Some are just so naturally gifted athletes, and really exciting to watch. Anyway beautiful video Kaitlyn! running out of onions here too
You don't often think about the backgrounds of some of these players. That was very emotional to watch and I guess Australia is a world away from his home and family for him. Dare I say that was beautiful.
Kaitlyn Amanda, I was very moved & connected with this. I love ur passion embracing our culture yet I understand ur feelings as it must be hard for u being away from ur family in Philly. I have been an Eels fan since the 70s, was at 3 of their Grand Final wins in the 80s but I have been a baseball player since I was young & I am a massive Phillies fan, one of those that u mentioned that watches every game haha( go Bryce!). Though ur not a baseball fan, I understand ur passion in the video u did on the Phillies getting back in the World Series....ur a Philly girl. And now u support my loved Eels. Stay on them. I have to say I was extremely proud in 22 of the efforts of both The Phils & The Eels even though they both lost. They are both to watch out for in 23! Love ur work. Aussie as !
That was the best. Honestly. I know that you miss your family and friends. But you also have a lot of people here in Australia who love you. Great video. Cheers.
I don't follow NRL so I wasn't aware of Sivo or his story. But this was so touching to watch and learn about. And yes, I too got teary at their reunion 😭♥️ Thanks for sharing.
The amount of pride that people from Fiji have in their NRL players: if you have a tradesperson from Fiji and mention anyone like Sivo you'll see it. Like when I had my NBN internet installed and a Fijian person rolled in the cabling.
Thanks for the video I don't know much about NRL and the players this a nice story what made me cry was dropping a slab of VB off the back of the ute half a dozen stubies died
Nice video mate , your right some Ads do pull at the heart strings, the Qantas ads are an example ✈BTW i see the big Bundy bottle has a couple of mates 😁
What a lovely, touching story. Thank you Kaitlyn.

Also a lifelong Parra fan, I was lucky enough to be at each of the four Electric Eels grand final wins, watching my brother play. Similar pride.
@5:17 ah fuck you got me. 🥲🥲
