I hated Tony's attitude on that one, yelling on the girl signing his manifest when he was the one too lazy to properly stop at the checkpoint. I'm glad the dude in blue shorts won. He came in casual clothes, but brought his training and that made the difference.

More gear inches used effectively will keep heart rate down. Lower heart rate means exercise is aerobic. Faster spinning gets the heart rate up and exercise becomes anaerobic. Eddie Merckx was the master of riding high gear inches even on mountain roads. Merckx used bis whole body to generate power from shoulders to hips to legs. Many riders got on his wheel but could bot sustain the same gear. Ultimately they shifted to a lower gear and their heart rate started to rise. Then it was game, set, match.

Don’t even know why they have checkpoints in this race, it’s just one road and the only way you could run it faster than the riders is via helicopter
just have someone at the checkpoint filming and any dispute can be settled by checking the vid

Prob two of the biggest owns in one video from just darting past Toni in the beginning and telling him good luck and darting away to then letting Toni feel like he took over the lead and just coming up behind him and telling him how small he was and just pushing him forward 😂 Great video. Out of all of the people from these videos, this guy is the one I like the least - he's very skilled, but he's often mistreating the people who give the papers, and that always leaves a bad taste of mouth.

Which is better: high or low cadence?
Both are great.. it will only depend on your legs
there's a v good reason 'proper' bikes have multiple gears :)
@@duroxkilo The reason for multiple gears is not to allow cadence variability, in fact it is to allow the rider to ride at the same cadence given different road conditions (incline/decline/etc). “Best” cadence is definitely a personal thing. I find a higher cadence less energy intensive for me.

You know with all of the content that Terry has put out im surprised that a small team of cameras hasn't been put on to follow some of the other cyclist in certain events.
This years Bedford run had 2 3 diff cameras for the same race ,but unfortunately there was some bad a$$ accidents this year and the video got taken down 🤷♂️.

@@HHHHHHHHH...one the checkpoints here was a guy in a orange shirt , he got yt channel as well ,he participated this year and had a Camara on the saddle of his bike (and that pretty micjhis about all the footage from this years run you will come close to seeing),franncogr its his yt channel.
