This is definitely one of my favorite hotlines. The rider is very reasonable. Uses bike lanes when possible, times it to catch mostly greens, cautiously proceed through reds, knows when to not push it too far. Very skilled riding!

Besides the constant deliveries being made, the hand trucks and the e-bikers, there's just a general sense of not paying any attention and not giving a fuck by every civilian over there. Even more than normal. It's about as bad as taking the Brooklyn bridge in the summertime. The majority of the east side is a death trap anyway.

depends on your system and settings. I ride time atac mtb with time atac cleats. Strongest settings in the pedals. I never unclipped within 1,5 years riding the same cleats and pedals. You have to make sure, you clip in correctly. For unclipping you also have to angle your foot (how much depends on the cleats you're using). Hope that helps

Yes you can drive, but its not such a pleasure as it on a sunny warm day.
Get a second bike which is "bad-weather ready". It's fun to ride when it's muddy and wet.
