This trip takes us to the infamous Rungis market on the outskirts of Paris where we offload some lambs before heading to the South of France for our last drop.
We reload from Bordeaux & make a frantic dash for the boat attempting to cover just short of 400 miles in 8 hours ! Will we do it …….?
We also describe the operation of “meat railers” including how the hooks are used & secured.

Over 23 years since I was last in Rungis. By the look of things it hasn't changed much.
I don’t believe it has apart from it’s all compartmentalised inside now whereas I’ve been told it was much more open plan previously. Thanks for looking in my friend 😃

Memories. Far more interesting than watching drivers operate a satnav around Bristol or wherever in UK. I dont go for nights out anymore but the only exception would be to go back to Euro work 😢

My dad was a Slaughter man and I used to sit in a pram and watch him Slaughter lamb's from the age of two. So there's one here that ain't squeamish. I enjoy a nice cutlet or two of

I spent two Christmas days there over 20 years ago. Into the Comet bar and then you'd be tipped by the time you got back to the lorry well after midnight, paperwork stuck in the door handle.
I was there last Xmas & New Year but it wasn’t as good as that 😂. Cheers mate 👍🏽

We used to do a lot to rungis in the 80s and 90s for Christian salvesen,,great memories and great restaurants in rungis

That building you passed in Bordeaux is a drama/theatre school called Cours Florent. The building itself is called Château de Lormont and dates back to roughly the year 1000. Eleanor of Aquitaine lived there for a time, before she married Henry II.

the castle looking building is or was a drama school. Course Florent Bordeaux. when you come over the bridge on the A630 junction 4 come off turn right next roundabout turn right. there's a truck stop and fuel.
I also heard from a viewer it was a brothel in Napoleonic times ! Lovely building though 😉

Depends where you are & what you want to do. The shortage is no longer as profound as it was a couple of years back.
Never buy a fridge that’s carried hanging meat 😳they’re usually fecked.
Luckily ours is all very good kit. Some of it brand new in the last few weeks as you may have seen in my other video.

It’s not too bad. Very badly designed & poorly signed. There’s some savagely horrible awkward staff work in some of the warehouses which doesn’t help either. Still - we keep going 👍🏽
