Yep really missed the updates. I saw a Wains truck outside Harpers a couple weeks ago I waved and flashed lights and some bloke looked up 😂😂 must have thought I was nuts.
Hello from Nashville, Tennessee. I love seeing the countryside and the small villages you drive through. I'd love to take a holiday and drive through some of the areas that I've seen in your videos.
i live in British Columbia Canada ,i retired from trucking about 12 years ago,we have electronic logs here too now but were still using paper logs when i retired .i cant believe how restrictive your hours are right down to the last minute, like you said your off duty time is supposed to be for relaxing but if you have to keep such a close eye on the clock the whole time that must be very stressful, you are doing a great job by detailing your movements as you go along and describe what you are doing.i did dump trailer work back in the 70"s and still remember having to watch out for wires and roof corners etc. keep up the good work. yogi.
It's a way of life is tramping, so they say but you have my respect because it's not a way of life I could undertake. Done 14hr 45min days etc but I always loved going home at the end of the day. The stress of finding showers, parking etc would do my head in as this country let's hgv drivers down so badly. Again, kudos to you for the job you. Nice rig btw. Go steady drive 🙏
Hi Jemma, Great to see you back again. I was afraid you might have been kicked off, like one of Luke C's friends. Presumably that was because of an imbalance between video time and work time. But you're OK - that's the main thing. When I hear your dilemmas about hours, driving time and so on, It makes me appreciate just how free I was driving a small van! Brian
Onboard scales and only one trailer plus you get 45 min rest breaks. Easy life 😉. I have to self load 2 trailers with good guesswork so as to not overload on axle groups and I only get 20mins break after 5 hours duty time 😉. Onya though Jemma for trucking in Blighty. It's not for the faint-hearted. I left it behind over 10 years ago now after having a gut full of English winters. That's what gave me the determination to move to Australia and drive roadtrains. It took a while to get sorted but that's what I do here in Western Australia. No more freezing temperatures for me🙂. If you ever fancy a change of scenery, look me up. Also, I've not heard the word "lorry" spoken for yonks😆. Love it!
Just found your channel. It’s educated me a lot about the life of a hgv driver. I’d never have the confidence to drive a big rig. I admire your confidence backing in to some of those narrow spaces. I’ll watch out for you when I’m out on the road 👍
@@janettewarren3062 I love hope cove, I make sure I go there every time I go home, I live in Australia now. I could bore the arse off you with how Kingsbridge and surrounding areas have became. There lovely for a holiday but nothing more
Great video you look like you have a interesting job I work for the place you’re showering bag advertising is so pretty boring I was a tramper for years still miss it good to see you back 😃
Joe Public doesn’t know the stress and that feeling you get after finding a shower that works whilst living on the road.. I’ve ended up buying a shower that I can charge in the truck and then hide in the trailer and have one as the facilities in the U.K. are that bad! Great video Jemma, rather you than me down those country lanes!😬
Just found your channel and really enjoyed this, thanks. I do a lot of driving through France (car, not lorry) and am always blown away by the difference in the vast quantity of lovely places to stop over there compared to in the U.K.
I thought I recognised those roads, then the cottage on the corner of the lane! Yes was there last summer! I loaded out of the other yard on the right, rather than going left down on to that yard.
Hello Jemma new to your channel how nice to young ladies driving trucks, love the way you talk through what's going on, our breaks when I 1st started driving were 3 15mins or a 20mins and 25mins to make up to the 45mins I am now 64years young lol keep up the good work😊 🎉
Loads of respect, I know those roads to and around Kingsbridge as I used to live in Plymouth, defo not the easiest to navigate, let alone with a lorry! The A38 hill is a biggie for lorries, steep and they slow down quite a bit going up hill .
Hi Jemz 💎. So pleased to see you back, I was a bit concerned that you were all ok. A great start to the weekend. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe, take care and safe driving. ❤
Welcome back Jemma! I drove passed you on Thursday evening when you were in the lay-by on the A38 - would've stopped for a quick hello, but didn't want to disturb you! Keep the vids coming😀
Hey Jemma, I’ve just found your channel and it’s bloody fascinating. So this is just a shout to keep going. I know what it’s like to hit the TH-cam wall and don’t even what to think about it for weeks on end…. But the old Al Gore -rhythms don’t like that. Keep pushing if you can, the pressure will lift and you’ll be glad you hung onto the channel. It gets tough, but it really is worth the hassle and you’re taking off a treat!
Been down over that narrow bridge many times with a 6 wheeler when I used to deliver to South Hams brewery...in an artic...rather you then me! lol If you ever spend a monday night out down that way be back to Kingsbridge by 7am or you will meet the dustcarts!!
Good to see you back, I always look forward to your videos. It's always fun to see your driving skills, You make it look so easy! Please stay healthy and be safe until the next time. From Utah USA
Great Video just stumbled across your YT channel. Excellent to see a young woman showing the guys how to do it correctly and legally well done I will continue to watch your channel 👌
I’ve been holidaying in the South Hams for over 30 years Kingsbridge is a lovely old market town but like every were the old traditional shops are gradually closing & Dartmouth needs some attention as it’s mainly holiday homes. You weren’t far from East Prawle which must be almost impossible to get too in a truck.
0600 here, got my last DCPC module today then hopefully I'll be fully licenced up and ready to get a job. Great video, subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching more. Thanks.
Spent most of my working life on the road as an electrical engineer, usually driving a 'little' van. Though I did occasionally have to use a 7.5 tonner. Fortunately, I passed my car test long enough ago to legally drive one on my car licence. My experience of motorway services is very varied, and I really feel for you having to use them all the time, as some are really awful. I remember Stafford services being built. Prior to that, there was nothing between Keele and Hilton Park. God bless you, drive safe.
I used to go to Switzerland from Ireland weekly , the load was for Milan but had to be cleared into Switzerland at Weil Am Rhein then onto Pratteln 10 kms south of Basel for a new set of papers then back to Basle for the overnight train to Lugano near the Italian border Como …Full nights break usually on the train at least 9 hrs and because the product I carried was a class 9 hazardous I couldn’t use the Tunnel at Gothard …Anyway my point on this train I used to meet a Dutchman who pulled a tanker , it was a new FH 16 but a longline extension on the cab an amazing transformation meaning the cab was 10 ft long ..He has a shower and toilet but only took 3 feet of space , a fabulous piece of kit but because he had a shorter trailer he could have a much bigger cab …Surely with a tipping trailer the same should be available?…
Welcome Jemma great to see you back best wishes and best of health to you and those dearest to you hope all is well best wishes with the truck on the road cheers Declan 👍👍🙏🙏
Hi Gemma I keep seeing you and big Dave out and about on the roads I drive to Plymouth every day next time I flash my lights. I drive for hunts and we have to go down some right narrow roads as well I think it’s much more fun than sitting on a motorway every day.
I am appreciating your driving because I am from Canada and from I have seen you have very narrow road when you are getting of from your M highways. So also you are driving on the opposite side comparing to us here in Canada. I am sure that your company you are working for it is apprciating your kind of driving. In the meantimes please drive very carefuly and safety first.
Hi Jemma this has made my weekend seeing you back YouTubing for your channel and supporters , the vlog was absolutely amazing with lots of miles covered in one card , stay safe and keep on trucking xxxxxx
Welcome back 😁 The shower situation at UK services is disgraceful. I wonder if there a way of sharing your videos to the various companies responsible 🤷🤔
Welcome back Jemma, saturday mornings haven’t been the same without your weekly vlogs.
Alright tone it down lover boy 😝
Yep really missed the updates.

💯
Great too have you back Jemma
It really opened my eyes to see what HGV life is all about, I for one appreciate what you do❤
I have to say you are a great ambassador for a thankless and under appreciated industry , thanks for the upload.
What a great video. This is what TH-cam is about. Not silly rehashed stuff and adverts. Thank you
Thank you for your comment much appreciated, take care
You’re welcome
How do you stay fit and healthy on the road without a gym ?
I drove coast to coast in the US since 1988. just retired, now I get to sit and watch the next generation. Thanks for taking us along
Hello from Nashville, Tennessee. I love seeing the countryside and the small villages you drive through. I'd love to take a holiday and drive through some of the areas that I've seen in your videos.
Thank you. I hope one day you will see somerset and the west country for yourself. Take care
Nice to see you back. Absolutely disgusting that the services dont look after the bathroom facilities for truckers.
Saturday mornings have not been the same this year without your videos, so really pleased to see you back!

Hey Jemma, hope the house renovation went to plan. Welcome back !😊
It was lovely to see another video. How you work out your driving times always amazes me.

Went to school in Kingsbridge, that truck spotter might be a bloke called Tristan who lives in Marlborough which is just a few miles down the road
Ho, you were luck living there. As a family, we used to camp there at Hope Cove. Take care

Sadly, we could say that about all the South West now . We are being taken over. Take care
Great communicator -- Interesting adventure.
Jemma. You are inspirational. I think you need an electric leaf blower instead of a broom. Stay safe
A very good Saturday morning to you all from Wellington Somerset

Its hypnotic watching people work
Well it sure beats doing it for yourself 😂
Hi jemma it's great to see you back again, it's so nice to watch your vlog and have a cuppa on a Saturday morning
The road South of Kingsbridge can be a challenge. I've driven it many time with a caravan, will be even tougher with a truck!
I thought I recognised those roads, then the cottage on the corner of the lane! Yes was there last summer! I loaded out of the other yard on the right, rather than going left down on to that yard.

Interesting point you made about not filling up to avoid losing a full tank, one of the tips of the trade.
I didn’t understand that bit, is it in case the fuel is stolen?
@@hitchjack Yes, a full tank could cost up to a grand , if the thieves tap the side of the tank and its empty why bother.
Welcome back Jemma !! I wondered where you had gotten to.. glad to see your great vids back on my TH-cam feed again. Keep on trucking lady!! 🙂
Good to see you back, I always look forward to your videos. It's always fun to see your driving skills, You make it look so easy! Please stay healthy and be safe until the next time. From Utah USA

Absolutely brilliant to see you. Stay safe xx
2 weeks to fix a shower is shocking. The facilities management should be ashamed of themselves. Great video though Jemma, new subscriber 👋🏻
So much respect for you driving that vehicle in such a tight area. My Goodness I could only hope to do as well in my little car. Take Care. Andy...
