we'll never forget how the judges robbed her blind, landed 2 clean triple axels on the individual event but somehow that wasn't enough, wakaba deserved so much better
Wakaba deserved about 10 more points here, a triple axel program getting only 73!! Stop giving her bogus calls as well.
On a positive note Ellie Goulding congratulated Wakaba on her 3A & Olympic performance skating to her music ♥️
And her other jumps are better than the Russians, more height and power

wakaba’s score here should be an international controversy… she should have been finishing first in the short program no exception. valieva literally had a step out on her 3a, so her score is literally unexplainable.

Kamila should have been sent home period. Sasha and Ana should have been knocked for their sloppy programs, and the entire coaching staff should have been booed and sanction for the disgrace they bought to this sport and competition.

Regardless of judges’ calls, this performance is so far the best (technically and emotionally) ladies SP routine in Winter Olympics history
still can’t believe Wakaba didn’t get an olympic medal with two clean programs and two triple axels, we don’t deserve her and her skating tbh
she didn't have a clean free skate (fall on 3Lz-3T) and I think with that and her base value disadvantage it was impossible for her to medal. But she definitely should have won the short program!!!!
@@Plaspos The only medalist that had a decent free skate was Kaori. Anna and Sasha had major edge and rotational issues, especially Anna.
@@Plaspos Proper PCS and GOE scoring would've made the difference. It wasn't impossible for Waka nor Young to podium nor was it impossible for Kaori to get the gold. Waka was criminally underscored in PCS
@@brettshair3151 yes Waka was criminally underscored in PCS but there is no way she could have made up 20 points between PCS and GOE to earn bronze. Same with Kaori making up 22 points to earn gold. Even if Anna was generously scored and we take away 10 points from her (although I can't find more than 7 points at most to be removed even when judging harshly) there's no way to add 13 points to Kaori's score.
Anna is like the American gymnastics team, not the best execution but very consistent and strong mentally so they win the competitions.
you just have to put your Japanese women on a pedestal. Anna has a clean rental and they are Olympic champions.@@beckyy584
Even Plushenko said that the judges were incredibly generous to Valieva. The judging panel should be seriously investigated.
They can’t even show the K&C part where Wakaba’s gonna hear that joke of a score.
Carat on a toeloop and (!) on her flip shouldn’t make her PCS and TES lower than Trusova.
Seeing her skating is so delightfull!!
Judging her performance I'll give her a perfect score.

I will never forgive the Russian federation for crushing every skater's dreams and fair chances with their corruption and cheating during these Olympics. Wakaba and other skaters have worked so hard to make it to the Olympics, they deserved fair judging.

Я честно не понимаю каким образом этот прокат набирает гораздо меньше баллов чем Щербакова,почему тут все прыжки ставят на пересмотр в отличие от флутцов недоконченных Щербаковских, мне больно от этого

Wakaba is easily the most talented of the Japanese skaters, unfortunately she has always been hated by her own Fed. I always wonder how well she could have done with some support from them. Skating is a very political sport.
Even though not the clearest landing, the under-rotation call on her 3T is a scam. Maybe a quarter call could have been fair, not even sure...

フリップのアテンションはしょうがないにしろ少なくとも70点台後半は出ると思ってた。
3Tの回転不足(UR)もありましたからね。ただ、SPだけはトゥルソワより高い点数出すべきだったと思います。

She should have been on the podium. This why I hope the Russians are not at next Olympics I cannot stand that ISU and IOC bend over backwards for them
Gorgeous skate, atrocious cover of a beautiful song.
I still prefer kamila’s short program at the olympic.
I know that fs hardcore fan think this program shouldve won the night…. But to me kamila was just a whole ‘nother level…. The way she does it, i hadnt seen anyone as light, effortless & natural as kamila.
Kamila had a step out on her 3a, and edge change on her combo(she always does), and basic choreo. She has amazing flexibility and spins, and that’s it💀 and most importantly she didn’t deserve to be in first place, nor should she have competed in the event regardless. Wakaba’s sp was far better in terms of choreo and her jumping technique is better. She also actually landed her 3a unlike Kamila.
So natural her coach had her on an illegal medication.
She also never deserved to beat the sp world record held by aliona.

You may blame me, but this program is no better than the winners' programs. This is not a winner's short program. Her centering and jumping are very bad. She wasn't underescored.
