100% agree. These two brought me to tears with their programs
Japanese and Russians have it both very hard with their excessive training schedules. But somehow through all the pressure from the trainers and their whole nations the japanese ladies are much better in portraying the pure joy and passion that naturally lays in their art than the russians.
@@saraoverkamping8143 In Japan, figure skating is seen as an art. So skaters are more artistic and precise with their techniques. In Russia they focus on raw power and being perfect no matter what. Because everything you do is for your country.
best free program that night imo. the step sequence doesn't even feel like a step sequence, she's fully immersed in the character she set for that program and i adore it.
You can see her smiling towards the end of her program because she knew she had it at the time.

Wakaba is robbed. She deserved to win the short program or be second to Kaori. The only clean triple axel of the day! And she was paid dust. She is amazing and I can't wait to see her new programs for the coming seasons

@@hannibaljustincase9985 I just don't understand their logic. They were so hesitant to support any of their female skaters fully. Now the support Kaori but before that she was also paid dust. In the past they supported Yuzu and Shoma and now Yuma. Why can't they do the same for the rest
@@alexander_shadyuk Yeah, but everyone screamed the russian girls are so amazing because they have quads or triple axels. But when someone else lands it, it becomes irrelevant, like here Wakaba whose score with a clean triple axel was lower than her team score with a double axel

If we talking about all world season...No. More grace was perfomance by russian girls. If we talking about Japanese figure skating season, yeah why not?

Every single time I rewatch this program I find myself crying smiling at the step sequence. Wakaba was phenomenal at the Olympics.

I only wished that her score was higher! She only had one little error (falling on the second part of the 3Lz+3T combo) and everything else was gorgeous!! 😍
I was always really a palled with the scores that were being given to the Korean skaters in particular as well as the two second and third plays Japanese scooters. Mosquitoes so well but we’re just not getting rewarded in the technical or the program components marks. I don’t actually think the Russians were over scored personally but the Koreans in Japanese were definitely underscored. Particularly insane that skater who scored less with a clean triple axel in her short then when she just had a double axle in the team program

I don't blame the fed as much as I blame ism judges and racial bias. its more to do that jsf has no political capita and ism judges seem to have a strong racial bias against asian skaters from asian federations. to succeed, you either need a western coach or be so beyond everyone else that they cannot ignore you (yuzu, shoma, yuma, sui/han). unfortunately, wakaba wasn't as consistent so jsf chose kauri to support bc they don't have power to support 2 females
It doesn’t matter who gets the medal. I will always go back and watch her program.

This woman needs justice. The judges can turn a blind eye to the atrocious technical flaws in others’ performances but come down with Thor’s hammer on hers? Come on. She outskates most of the ladies in skill and technique. Score more honestly, people.

@@mavisushka wakaba is underscored af, even if she didn't podium we'd never know without an in-depth analysis of each element bc she was so heavily underscored whereas russian's got undeserving positive GOE's.
These judges really did her dirty. She should've at least placed higher than Valieva. She landed TWO triple axels, for crying out loud.

So true. I still don't understand how she was placed behind Kamila who had only 3 clean jumps overall in both her programs and sloppy skating and performance. And the difference between their scores weren't even small. There was a 10 point difference between their scores. The scoring here was a crime and idk how anyone can see this and not admit that judges are corrupted and in favor of Russians.
Ça va bientôt faire un an et je me remets toujours pas de ce super programme , wakaba est une bonne interprète et patineuse , dommage qu'elle ne soit pas reconnu a sa juste valeur et ne soit pas noté correctement . Honte à l'isu qui détruisent des carrières comme ça au profil de leur chouchou .

Wakaba was robbed due to sh**ty judging. She should've been in 1st after the SP, based on the fact that Valieva nor Trusova landed their triple axels & Shcherbakova didn't even attempt one. Plus, she had higher base value than Kaori (and I loved Kaoris SP here).
The short program judging at the Olympics was the worst judging I’ve seen in the sport since Sochi 2014. At least the skaters in the free skate made it easy for the judges to choose the correct ranking. But the short program ranking was so wrong
@@Plaspos it sure was & there was a LOT of unfair judging, like what they did with Gubanova

@@фейхоа-ф6ы we understand just fine. What we don't understand or agree with is the judging. Kamila had a step-out on her triple axel, Anna didn't attempt one & Trusova fell on hers but managed to place 4th (even though a Japanese skater with identical jump content fell on her 3A & placed 15th. Figure that out!). And that's not counting the overall performance & Wakaba had the performance of the evening that day, hands down.

Literally. Wakaba scored 73.51 whilst Sasha scored 74 points and was above her in PCS. Meanwhile, Sasha’s PCS were shown in an ISU demonstration with skaters scoring 3-4 in PCS. And Wakaba got beat by Kami who stepped out on her 3A. Wakaba was robbed.
@@lxwis1361 in sp she robbed yes. But wakaba doesnt deserve be in podium after free. Sasha land 5 ultra-c elements. Wakaba is only one. Sasha deserve her silver. Maybe if Anna shcherbekova is not overscored she can win gold. And kaori deserve bronze.
@@mavisushka yes sasha landed 5 quads but one was with q, one had a stepout and one had a !. technically, i agree sasha got scored correctly but artistically sasha scored 70 pcs for a program with barely any transitions, poor ss, poor interpretation, poor performance, meanwhile wakaba scored 69.. sasha should have sckred 55 in pcs after that
@@lxwis1361 yes but even if she lost 15 points (and even another 4 points from the short program over scoring) sasha would still be in 2nd. I agree her scoring in both programs was terrible on the PCS side but her base value is just way too large to be anything less than silver. Plus Kaori although she had great performances also got some generous calls on her lutz in both programs so in reality she should lose 4-6 points too and be closer to 227
@@mavisushka both Anna and sasha were pretty overscored, sasha on PCS a lot and Anna on GOE and also somewhat on PCS although not as much as Sasha. Still both deserved their medals because Kaori had no hard jumps and was also overscored on her lutzes even more than Anna.
1994 Lion King is so many times better than 2019 Lion King. The 2019 remake completely ruined all the nostalgia of the original movie.

Actually, it's been a better time since they've been banned. No more cheating and doping🙂
Doesn’t matter they cheat with drugs and Doping and don’t get called for falling on jumps, pre rotation and bad Edges. You’re are wacked and crazy. Japanese skaters should have won gold and silver. Russians cheats, others skate. Taking drugs to win is not ok. You have no substance. You believe lies Putin tells you. You are as much a disgrace as he is.
Actually there have been many cases Wakaba was robbed. By Zagitova in 2017 and again by Russian skaters in 2022.

Катается хорошо, но не сравнится с катанием наших девочек, оценки были выставлены справедливо абсолютно, как в короткой, так и в произвольной программе, Вакаба молодец, но она лучшая после наших и Каори, Каори молодец, потрясающе каталась ! ❤🎉
