    Really cool project, hope to be able to complete it one day. I managed to proceed to the point when fingers were to be filleted (filled edge) - must have missed a step somewhere. And could not combine the legs with Boolean union. Probably shall start from scratch again....

    Hi, thank you for your tutorials! They have been very helpful. I had a question about "capping" Does this make the piece solid throughout? I'm asking because I wanted to see how to make a piece hollow with a surface if possible. Thank you in advance!

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it does! but you can always boolean them and hollow out later.

    HI.. I Just subscribed your channel.. thanks for the tutorial by the way.. Is there any reason why dont you convert it to mesh and use the smooth tool for filleting the edge all over its finger? and what does the smooth tool actually use for? do u have made any video that making a puffy stuff such as a car seat cusion instead of use subd tool? can it done by using smooth tool? Sorry for asking, im a beginner and dont have subd features in my rhino.

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for subscribe my channel. We try not to edit mesh in Rhino. It is much easier to deal with NURBS surface in rhino. You can use Smooth command to smooth out bumpy surface. You can find several puffy model videos on my channel seaching keyword "puffy" on my channel. ^_^

      One question - at 10:19 you move to fillet edges but it seems fillet edges won't find the intersection in the two surfaces for me. Did you split or boolean or something before that point. The video cuts and then the edge selection begins. Wonder if there is a missing step that was edited out? Thanks

    There seems there is missing part between ~10:19(sweep two rail) and 10:20(fillet edge on all joins) to do fillet edge on it. Rhino developer said you have trimmed it, but I am lost.. could you teach what you have done to do it? I cannot even select the yellow lines to fillet it..

    非常感谢您的教程!我是一名建筑系的学生。我们学校没有详细的软件教学,而我还爱用曲面,第一个用rhino的设计直接让我通了四宵差点挂掉,第二个曲面设计也因为建模困难效率低下而完成的不好……软件本应成为帮助我们推进设计、表达概念的工具,却因为缺乏技巧而成为了设计的阻碍。虽然专业不同,但软件技巧都是相通的,许多问题看了您的视频豁然开朗。再次感谢!

      Hello, it is Ms. Chen here. if you like animal 3D model, Zbrush will be a better option for detail sculpting. or you can use Rhino 7 SubD for getting the shape.

    Hi i am very interesting in your chanel and all courses online (Introdiction to Rhino 6 for jewelry, Advance Rhino 6 for jewelry design , Stone setting, Design Clasp 3D Modeling.) If i completed learning all these so i can use all these courses instead off using Rhinogold,Matrixgold and Matrix or not? Much thanks Sir.PJ Chen 🙂🙏

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Happy to hear that you like my courses. Rhinogold and Matrix are the plugin for Rhino. They all share the same commands. Basically, you can do everything with Rhino. Every video I have on this channel are done by Rhino ONLY. However, if you plan to use the software 8 hours a day, and need to produce something genetic like those jewelry in the chain store (3-stone ring, or eternity ring ect.) Matrix or RhinoGold will help you to speed up your work process because it has pre-build library and stone setting function. I like to teach people the fundamental, so you don't restrict your ability if you don't have those plugin, in case you got a custom job and you know how to build from scratch. They are all good software, it depends on your needs.
