Your fish on the grow on are coming on a treat pity about the one with fin problems couldn't you put it back on your tank so it's totally isolated and see if it's being in bullied or its fin rot main ponds looking good now your on top of the dreaded blanket weed summer may finally be here so hopefully we ca be start to enjoy

Poor little fella, maybe try a salt baths out of the main pond, if your not replacing the liner soon I'd be tempted to patch it asap, I wouldn't be able to sleep. Hello mate it just runs to waste soaks into the garden but you can put a mesh bag on the outlet to catch the big bits and let the water go back to the pond

@@progressivepondkeeping I needed a little advice I'm working on K1 media barrel filter like the one you have at the start on filtration system I thought I'd set up it all fine when I connect it to pump the water fills to top of barrel over flowing What did you do the internal piping in your first K1 media barrel I have definitely done something I would sent you a photo but not sure how to do on TH-cam
You can always message budget pond keeping on Facebook. I have it coming in the bottom through a tank connector then out through a 2 inch pipe with holes drilled into it so water goes through but k1 doesn't. What size pump are you using also what size barrel and pipe
Great video Leon 👍 Sorry to hear about the fish with fin rot, it looks bad. I gave up using Cloverleaf for the blanket weed and switched to "Clear Waters Nishikoi Blanketweed Treatment". After the initial treatment, you can add a little every week and it keeps it a bay. When are you planning on doing your bottom drain etc., next year? Stay safe 👍

Hi, I think it's probably the other fish nibbling his tail. I would separate him because they're probably still doing it. At that age they're fighting to survive. Also a pond I used to look after had the same liner they're not strong enough to be vacuumed. I hope I've helped. It's nice to see a pond that's not had thousands chucked at it and still got nice clear water.

What size block did you use for your pond walls and what dimensions of the pond for the pressure of water pushing out on the walls. I was thinking 100mm thick block at 3 tier holding 3m by 2m

I like treating with pp but most don't like it or are afraid of it.. I think you have it under control.. I did my spring clean vid.. But looks like I need to more.. I see you use a retro bottom drain.. Do you like it.. Still wrestling with the idea of adding a bottom drain when I replace liner in a year or two
Hello mate I like to do it before it takes hold I've had it really bad a few times and it's a nightmare on pumps etc. I do like the retro drain it's helped me out big time but I would definitely go true bottom drain if I had the choice I must of missed your upload I'll take a look👌👍

You could try aqua source resolve it doesn't mess your pond up like the blanket answer but you would need a few treatment's I've also heard go things about Colombo algisin 👍
@@progressivepondkeeping lol , I would give him a little salt bath couple of times a week , think it’s 3oz per gallon of pond water , for 10mins , with air stone in it , you can only try mate , it may be too far gone but worth a try , keep an eye on if it’s feeding ok . With the clover leaf you can’t overdose on it what I read , to get rid of all that blanket weed I would give the whole pond a heavy dose use the lot on it and leave for a week , depending on how much crap comes away and blocks your filter .

Yes mate doesn't look good tbh. Maybe it's your water quality keeping it Free of blanket weed I have relatively high nitrates 10-20ppm most of the time also my tap water normally has nitrates straight from the tap
As u know i have two showers top box filled with sponge the lower two pumice havent cleaned them in three years, fin trouble only happened to the smaller fish i put it down to be bitten of

Yeah fiber glass would be best bet but yeah box liner would be my first choice yeah ideally 2 bottom drains to a sieve then pumped to my existing filters Ive got around 3000 gallons about 15,000 liters or there about

Hello mate I messed up tbh I used the wrong blocks (hollow blocks) and I payed the upright the should be layed flat for a pond.

Think the white stuff sticks to the fish the one i have is a black gun grey metallic you seldom see her she has to be over the 50cm mark as well

This was all raggedy with bits of ray exposed the other fish don't seem to be bothering him either that I can see
I always keep Myxazin P as a general bacterial treatment. Also treats fin rot if the fmg doesn’t work.

Aqua source blanked weed is better in my opinion. Never had string algae for 2 season

Yes mate hopefully getting it done this year at some point if I can get it all flush without it caveing in I'll go for the box weld. Fingers crossed he pulls through 🤞🤞
@@progressivepondkeeping I got normal liner too which was I mistake but didn’t know bout box wield liner at the time , I think fibre glass is the one tbh but box wield would be second best option, don’t know if I would give fibre glass ago myself as it’s a big area to cover mine and I ain’t paying ridiculous money to get it done so I would op for box wield, are you gonna have 2 bottom drains? Btw how many gallons are you ?👍🏻
Yeah fiber glass would be best bet but yeah box liner would be my first choice yeah ideally 2 bottom drains to a sieve then pumped to my existing filters Ive got around 3000 gallons about 15,000 liters or there about

Hi mate with the line on your liner. Follow in the line to the same on the liner up under your copings. It maybe that you have flipped the edge of a joint in your liner. Worth a investigating mate.
Yes mate I think that's what has happened it seems to have only lifted slightly so I should be ok until I get my new liner 🤞🤞
