For any beginner filmmaker or video production company, the number #1 goal is to get more video clients. More videography work means = More cash to grow your business. But how comes so many videographers fail and struggle to find video production clients and get more work?
Well, as creatives we spend 90% of the time focusing on creating amazing videography works and only 10% on getting more video clients.
Ultimately, that's a floored business plan. Getting clients for video production should be at least 40% of your focus. Think of your business like a bucket sitting under a tap... If you're not doing everything you can to turn the tap on more, your bucket will barely fill up - especially when you have outgoings in your business that act as holes in the bottom!
In this video, I'm going to share with you the mistakes I've made in my own video production company and the methods I've used to get any video production client we wanted.

How do you know who to work with? I have tons of creative friends that are all eager to make money with filmmaking. Creating a Production Company doesn't happen over night and doesn't happen alone. What are you looking for in reliable buisness partners?

Sure, the #1 thing by far is honesty. That takes a bit of time but you can generally get a good idea if someone is genuine from a chat.
I would also generally avoid business partners because not many people put in the same amount of effort. But freelancers who are keen to support you and work for you will 🙌
At a kind of a fork in the road. I've been doing this for a long, long time. I have been barely making a living. I am trying to grow my business. I think I went to fast and hired to much talent. Any tips on how to balance doing the work yourself and hiring others to do it for you. Thanks and God Bless!
