Don’t Call It A Comeback. I Resurrected my GoPro Hero 7 Black in 2024.

The GoPro Hero 7 Black was a gamechanger in the action camera space in 2018. HyperSmooth video stabilization opened this little camera up to uses far more varied than previous GoPro models. I bought one new in 2018 and loved it, until it started crashing. I put it in a drawer and forgot about it. As someone who is experimenting with one bag travel, I thought an action camera would be a good fit. Instead of rushing out and buying a new model, I found my old GoPro and immediately noticed what had been causing it to crash... swollen third party batteries. I'm not sure how I missed this, but here we are. It's 2024 and the GoPro Hero 7 Black is still a powerhouse that fits in your pocket. I took it along on a 5K run to get reacquainted.
