Here are the greatest things about this video: Mike Stern’s horseshoe belt George Witty’s mustache ‘n mullet combo Randy’s Fanny pack Mike’s enormous pea green zootsuit Dave Wekle’s hair! 80s/90s jazz fashion was nuts!
You’re are right sorry, similar kind of haircut but definitely not playing a Tele which Mike was then. Dean was using a Parker Fly during that period of time. Dean was touring with the Brecker around ‘94. I knew Mike from the 55 Bar living in NYC then. Dean was in Marcus Millers Band & David Sanborn’s as well as the Brecker Bros. Band. Dean passed in January of this year and I miss him. He was always generous with his time. I was a relatively new personal manager in the music business. I had wanted to manage him because of his great talent and that he was a wonderful human being.
😂 You obviously never watched him live at the 55 on Christopher Street in NYC. It’s super warm and a smoking sound. He’d sound great through an alarm clock, though: he’s a master storyteller.
Set List.

Michael Brecker just blows my freakin' mind to this very day! Wow! What a band!
Just watching his fingers move was entertaining. I saw him a few times live. I pity those that never got too.
Michael Brecker always a beast
Genus is just the King of Cool! Super group!
Golden times!
Unbelievable great sound!
Inspirational! All the players are outstanding, but I am partial to Mike Stern.

😂
Not relevant to this particular video but do you think you could upload any of Cab Calloway's performance at this festival?
Why don't you list all of the musicians?
Can you please remove the intrusive ads happening every minute? It's so infuriating. TH-cam is becoming as bad as TV.
Adblock or youtube premium are probably your only options.
Omg Mike Stern been on the steroids
Bassist and keyboardist?
James Genus & George Witty
As Snoop Dogg would say, “Ya bettah ask sumbody.” 😂
Sorry but I'd never like Mike Stern's sound ... more cold than ice.
He just can't let go of that 90s chorus sound.
Ok, but he would kick ass even without plugging his guitar to the amp.
