    Joe of Focus 9 makes some pretty slick stuff and what’s great is he’s still actively developing new products. I’m secretly hoping my DME computer will fail so I have an excuse to pick up one of his Sport DMEs. 😂

      If I end up copying you and doing the Lindsay MAF upgrade then I’ll need a 28 pin upgrade so I’ll likely get the focus 9 dme at that point

      I’m ALSO talking with Joe about the Solid State Sport DME with Diagnostic capabilities….. Hey guys just so you know, Joe runs special prices from time to time and he’ll have your Factory DME back in a very short time period….👍👍👍

    A bit of trivia: the gong noise for the key in the ignition when the driver’s door is open is a very Flat Concert F. 😂

    Clean the grounds! I cleaned the ones under the dash and that solved my hood light not working and the chime sounded weird, not consistent.

    Hello, I am taking part in a research project. I could not find almost any information about the "main relay" of Porsche 912. Can you help me with this?

      This is a helpful tool. Did you also check the factory alarm circuit, if equipped? Nc944er has a very helpful video on that as well as Clark’s garage website. The factory alarm computer failing can cause no starts

    Hello I have a 1987 944s and my front and rear windshield wipers the water for cleaning the windshield and the radio are not working, I chaged the DME relay recently, do you know what could be the problem??, the fuses are ok I have no idea what could it be because a few months ago all worked properly
    Thanks hope you can help me

    @rockcrawlindude Thanks for the video. I have a 87 NA and just before I put it into winter storage, the guage cluster worked intermittently and then stopped. Have any ideas what that could be?

    • @tims_4x4_garage
      @tims_4x4_garage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gauge clusters can be funny in these cars. The fuel gauge sending unit may need to be cleaned, it also seems to be voltage sensitive and these cars don’t have the most robust charging systems. The MPG gauge, if equipped, is especially odd. Mine only works when the car is fully warm lol
      You may ultimately need to pull the gauge cluster. But, Before pulling the gauge cluster out, the first things I would check are all the fuses. Then the next thing I would check/clean are my two main grounds. One on the back of the block near the reference sensor and One right next to the battery on the body. Then, I’d check/clean my main positive cables one to the starter and one to the alternator.

      Did you buy a non-running car or did you have a running car that quit? I don’t have any experience with the early model cars but do you have a good fuel pump relay you can try?

      @@tims_4x4_garage Definitely a great running car and then just like flipping a switch , stopped . It's been sitting a couple of years after replacing the fuel pump relay and digital engine electronics control unit . I am definitely not getting fuel and am going to replace the pump , fuel filter and tank filter . I am waiting on the 2 filters but I thought that I could check the voltage at the fuel pump with just the ignition on , nothing. I don't know if the relay needs those items working somehow to actually send the power to the pump .
