Boundary issues with parents can be very complicated. I imagine that your dad may have grown accustomed to you as a child. With you developing into a man he might not have awakened to what your life was becoming.

When I came out trans to my parents my dad cried which really confused me and even angered me a little bit because I didn't understand why. In the end he explained it was because he hated that I walked around with this for almost 20 years not being fully happy with myself and that upset him more than anything.
We don’t need to accept the words “You’re going to hell.” I have been to hundreds of genuine seances. I heard the spirit guide Evening Star say, “Heaven to one person is Hell to another.” She cited the example of listening to rock n roll music, some would feel like they are in heaven listening to it while others would feel like they are in Hell. Heaven and Hell are states of mind that we experience throughout our lifetime and will continue to experience after we make the change called death. We all have the free will to reject “You’re going to hell.” and accept that being LGBTQ+ is normal and natural. Scientific research has identified same-sex behavior as natural in more than 1,500 species. There are more and more various religious groups who are allies of the LGBTQ+ community. We have the free will to find a religion or spiritual path that works for us.
You’re actually very correct because if you look back at the times of Moses and Jesus you will find that a lot of men had sexual relations. And men and women both went around naked. And no one had a problem with it. It’s only modern day people who have problems with things like this. People back in the time of Moses probably weren’t as open about it may be, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were cases of two men getting married, because they loved each other enough, but they just kept it discreet, and just acted like they never had any wives because they could not find a woman that would interest them, or perhaps that their tribe did not care that they were to married men
I don’t think God truly has a problem with same-sex marriage or same sex relationship I think it’s humanity that has a problem and paints it different so that way they can protect how they feel. The only thing I believe God had a problem with was adultery, which means having multiple wives or having a wife and cheating on her which obviously so or having relations with another man’s wife, watch there again, right Lisa and that happens a lot and today times and nobody really puts up a big stink about that.
I expect neither hell nor paradise, I did not exist before I was conceived...and I will no longer exist after my death...my uncle said on his deathbed..to all relatives..I will send you a message ..I promise you that...whetheri end up in hell or in paradise... That was 1965... and we are still waiting for his message... For 2000 years the Christian God did not show up, no plague, no war, no tsunami or child rape by his priests, prevented worldwide/./. Spinoza recognized that religions, sects and cults are the asylum of the stupid... and I see it that way too...

The same thing happened to my first boyfriend when we were 15. I was staying the night and we were cuddling on his couch and his mom came downstairs and saw us. Idt she said anything and just went back upstairs and then called him up soon after that and he came out.
I’m not sure it matters. Whether one is coming out - or in this case ‘outed’ is not the point of the story. It’s a great listen with some great lessons in it that might resonant with lots of people. These stories are so wonderful in spreading understanding let’s not get hung up on terminology!
I thought the same thing, but he basically came out to himself as much as to anybody else. I didn’t really have a “coming out moment”, I’ve just never really had anything to come out as. I liked girls, I liked boys, but I’ve always preferred boys. My parents treated me like any other kid, drove me to and from my dates, or drive us to movies or whatever we had planned, gave out condoms like candies, had various age-appropriate “talks” (it’s still a bit weird discussing sex even with parents who know you’re not just doing it with girls). Imagine your dad giving you tips on how to make your boyfriend’s night. 😬 I don’t care how much progress is made, that’ll always be awkward father/son time. But, in hindsight, it really strengthens the relationship between parents/kids knowing your parents always had your best at heart. I think (I hope) we’re going towards a time where people won’t _have to_ come out, and everybody just accepts people as themselves, without having to dance around awkwardly about someone’s sexuality. Especially not about our own.

I love the story, but is it really "coming out" if you get caught? You were in the closet and you didn't come out so much as he barged in.
