It has somewhat turned out that way. Our goal isn't to be complicated, but to provide as much functionality as we can for the material spent. Hopefully over time we'll be able to present information in a way that isn't quite so initially intimidating. It's not that bad once you get into it!
Gotta be honest, a lot of this is overwhelming to someone looking to get started. Can you do a detailed video on making those sets that are over your left (our right) shoulder? (the ones with the level on it and has 2 rows of 3 drawers and then 1 row of 1 drawer)
I'm trying to connect a multibin shell and drawer to a vertical multiboard. How exactly can I do that? There are so many parts and I'm completely overwhelmed! I think some documentation of different use cases would be really helpful.
I'd recommend checking out are community for an easier way to get direct assistance, but the part you're looking for is probably the small thread multipoint.
Hello, can you please share what filament are you using for grey bins? its looks amazing. Or at least what is name of grey which are you using. Thank you
All good until you start looking for inserts, there are almost no made parts for custom inserts (usb, batteries, etc...) as it's still new, I think i'll print Gridfinity Multiboard shelves and do the bins with gridfinity. Still debating...
We just released the insert files for remixing today, so hopefully we'll see a bit of a wave of remixes coming! We have released a few basic items ourselves and of course plan to create more!
Multiboard was initially designed to be wall mounted and uses 50mm grid to maintain compatibility with most pegboard accessories. Gridfinity uses 42mm grid, it was designed to be desktop and toolbox organization so that probably wasn't a consideration. Many toolboxes have 300mm wide drawers, which means you can fit one additional grid column using the 42mm system than 50mm one without much loss to individual bin volume. Luckily there are several people that have made adapters to attach both systems to eachother.
Ultimately it comes down to it just not being a goal of ours. We focused on keeping a highly consistent sizing standard (25mm, the metric pegboard unit, and a highly divisible value) and designing within that. A single multibin insert and gridfinity bin happen to be of similar size, but that was a bit of a happy accident. We do provide some basic compatibility parts where we can, but I recommend checking out the community for more on that front!
Definitely comes across as over-complicated especially compared to graffiti. I like the looks of your system and attempting to learn it. I have several bamboo printers to try. Have a very difficult time kind of knowing which connection works with which item like Boxes Etc I have joined your membership find my benefits at the lowest level aren't much. Some of your tutorials are kind of mislabeled period hard to figure out which is which. My Approach is more or less printing whatever comes with your tutorials and hoping for the best.
there was obviously a lot of thinking put in the design. awesome stuff, keep it up!
Thanks from the team! It means a lot to have such a great community exploring and building with us!
Looks interestingly overcomplicated)
Thank you for sharing.

Hi, I like your color combination. Can you or somebody please link me the used light grey and the dark grey/black filaments? (00:15)

Just wait till later today 😉 and then a little while after once the awesome community has the remix file for just over 2 days.

@stellasfun Perfect timing I'm very glad!! Love the new files! Best of luck and thanks!
Why is this not compatible with gridfinity?
wouldnt that be great.
That’d be too easy! Same as open sourcing it

Small typo: "09:15 - Multibin Deviders" should be "Dividers"
Cheers all fixed up
Ii's interesting but complicated and not very usable at the first sight
