Clearance is different to tolerance.
you have linked incorrect multipoint plate in your website. it is the single sided one and not double
I love when things don't exactly go as planned (drawer popping out) call it "Death by demo". Happens to me a LOT!
Excellent concept and the Learning Pack is essential. The first set of parts is growing on my print bed now! Thanks!
"Before we dive into the deep end" Omg this isn't already the deep end!?
10:40 How do you get your big thread to print as a single piece like that? Mine prints as two halves that I have to sort of fold over and hold in place as I try to thread it in and it doesn't work very well.
The only confusing part about it is how confused he was about the names of the parts... This will 100% be my first massive print when my next order of filament comes in next week.
I have no complaints. Confusing? Eh maybe a little. It’s too cool. And really the last organizational system you need. Love this and everything else you’ve brought and will bring to the table.
do you think this will work using vhb or command strip? thanks.
No base board available in bambu makerworld/ models Gridfinity easier due to this
I like these shorts. They make the seemingly complicated system much more palatable
where's the link for 21:48
Thanks for reminding me. Just added it to the description and it's here: th-cam.com/video/ZiQek0wei1g/w-d-xo.html
You and your creative team are incredible. I appreciate your efforts and the fabulous things you are developing. It is a lot to wrap my head around, but very exciting to know that your system is ever growing. Congratulations on all your successes. I also love the 3d printing community. It really is the definition of what community truly is
Excellent design. I still need to wrap my head around it all but this video was very helpful. Thank you 🙏
Is magnet-magnet coupling necessary, or can one side be a two-stack of steel washers the correct size?
Everyone here complaining that it's too complicated or there aren't enough tutorial videos need to realize how much time has gone into this project that is letting everyone reap the benefits of for basically free. You can always take the time to learn it yourself instead of expecting everything to be handed to you. He even said that it is still under development and it sounds like he's got a lot on his plate. While it is overwhelming, we should be grateful that something like this exists without having to put our own time and money into creating it from scratch. But that's the world we live in today. Take, take take, complain, complain, complain.... I think it will go far and I'm looking forward to getting started! Thank you for creating this system!
I keep hearing Lilu saying "Multipass, multipass" in The Fifth Element. haha. I love multiboard.
It would be nice to have a specific drawer version of the multibox, without the 5mm base. That way they could you could put a draw side-on with the back of another, maintaining the 50mm grid on top. It's a pretty niche case, but would allow for a 400x400mm platform with no wasted space.
Spaghetti a'la arabiata anyone?
This video would be much more helpful with video editing to remove the word stumbling. It comes across confusing and frankly makes the whole thing feel overly complicated. This isn’t a video that needs to be one continuous take. Color coding the parts would go a long way too or even an overlay of the part name on the video. This would serve as a tutorial to really help a user learn. I think a bigger board could help too for the ability to zoom in and see the difference.
My fear is always the board thing grids are gonna snap on me
Just found this. I think this will be huge. If it's as good as it looks I'm signing up. Nice that you give almost everything for free to try it.
Man- I haven’t dove into your systems yet but I hope despite making all this stuff free you’re making a ton of money. Also- not sure where you’re from but I get European Austin Evan’s vibes.
the little multipoint screws with the living hinges are very problematic. you can't get a consistent hinge with PLA. might need some tweaking. the hinges are ok for stuff like the pop-ins, but with the threaded bits it's a lot worse.
Bro throwing shade at the flush folks 😂
What color orange is this
Definitely comes across as over-complicated especially compared to graffiti. I like the looks of your system and attempting to learn it. I have several bamboo printers to try. Have a very difficult time kind of knowing which connection works with which item like Boxes Etc I have joined your membership find my benefits at the lowest level aren't much. Some of your tutorials are kind of mislabeled period hard to figure out which is which. My Approach is more or less printing whatever comes with your tutorials and hoping for the best.
OK man, 16 minutes in and you say you need a coin to screw the stuff in. If someone is going to spend this much time learning and printing it, they better have a dang screwdriver handy. If they dont, they are a failure to humanity. lol
So can I print this and sell them in-person at the local farmer's market, or nah?
Ya you sure can just get yourself a Multi Partner License 😁
@@multiboard_io I found the license area on your website, thank you!
The one thing about this is that I feel like it could be optimized a bit like with the multiband system the dividers have the pins to lock them in we have to have two different size pins the outer wall in for the inner wall when you could easily just have the one for the inner wall work for the outer wall
You need to make these parts to hold all the parts you need to make these parts……. 😂
Everything you make seems so thoughtfully designed but you forgot to tell me why I want a peg
lol I love this stuff, and am only teasing but I think the detail of the learning packs conditioned me to thinking he was gonna stretch that out, "this is tray it has a top and a bottom, a panel, and a surface.. a tray side can connect to a panel or a surface but not the other way around".
I think they updated this where they added something else instead of using the "Small Thread Multipoint," which has multiple uses like sliding bins onto it. They added a "Mid Hole - Bolt Locker" that's specific for this use, that can't be used with anything else but this. I'm not sure if it sits better or what, but I guess you can use either or.
I'd love an MP plate that includes the screw-on mounts. Being under a desk or shelf, holding the shelf, the mount, and screw is a bit of a challenge.
is this grid the same dimensions as gridfinity?
is there any way to make the label inlayed as opposed to one layer above the base? It'd be a nice option for single color prints to have some contrast by laying some ink down in the inlay then removing the excess.
Do you print this is pla or petg
This is absolutely amazing!!! Just what I was looking for. Can't wait to print and remix it for my home studio.
Simple lol
I wanted to get started on these things because they look amazing but.... It's too much work to find the right pieces. I know there is a pack and you have to pay for it, but... There's only two packs available. Honest suggestion: i know you are working on content and a way to monetize it. Here's the problem i see: the content (guides, examples, new parts, etc) are not coming fast enough. To the point that with this amount of information it's very daunting. There's too many options but not even close enough to be enough information about them. Makes sense? How can you solve it? I'd personally make it "more free" and even incentivize other makers to make their own build and tutorials, with the stipulation that they don't SELL your product. This will help you get the content faster, have more options, hell more TH-cam guides :) Then when you have more of an ecosystem, take donations, or charge for the pre-release parts. I believe that it should be super simple to hop in for free, and then you can either put a pay-wall for the advanced and/or do donations. So it doesn't die....
Whats the name of the clips for clipping the trays together? Cant seem to find them
Lite Dual Clips iirc
@@krayne2084 Thanks, I figured it out, couldnt understand what the guy was saying, and the documentation isnt great
So gridfinity with extra steps
After two rolls of filament I have 10 boards I can use. Unfortunately, I also have 10-12 boards in my scrap box to be composted at my local landfill. I've tried washing the plate in between every print, 99% alcohol, glue stick, outer brim, inner and outer brim, higher/lower z-offset and It's 50/50 if it doesn't warp. It's PLA so I don't know.
So far I have 4 boards of 8x8 size made with PLA matte, all perfect no issues. On a Bambu A1.
Deactivate the auxiliary fan if you use one.
@ I don’t use one. I’ve even tried printing with a giant brim and still peels up or layer shifts. I finally had success but only because I got a core xy printer. I’ve given up on trying to print this on a bed slinger.
please replace the getting started video from the website with this one! :D
Looks incredible and the options almost seem endless. Will check it out. Thanks for sharing.
How soon is “soon”?
I am thinking of printing this in the new year as my printer Bamboo A1 has yet to arrive. My question is what filament type would you recommend I use to print this?
Polymaker PLA pro works great for me at 15% infill
I understand why he folds some of the pieces to improve their strength but it does create some challenges. When you fold those they do not stay folded so they want to unfold while you’re trying to install them. I’m thinking of using a tiny drop of CA glue to keep them from unfolding. (Hint: Make sure that the glue is fully cured before you use that piece.) I’m still planning on trying these on a wall in my shop but may start small then build it out as I get more comfortable with how to make it work.
