The ninja 300 is much quicker and the cbr500 even more so, but I prefer the cbr250r due to it being much more comfortable. I ride twice as far in the 250 as I could on the ninja or the cbr500r due to the more comfortable seat and riding position. Hope this helps.

I've got a 2011 250r, I've got 11k miles on mine. I am a super small guy. You are correct, I can hit mid 90s on mine. I have contemplated getting a bigger bike, but this bike has saved me multiple times from speeding tickets. Insurance is cheap, and gas mileage is in the mid 70s. There is no better value for fun/cost/safety/reliability than the CBR250R
Same goes for cars as well. I used to own the old CBR250rr that revs out to 19000rpm's and a wr450 supermoto conversion, and both those bikes are nothing compared to proper sport bikes but I would go the smaller bikes everytime. I now own an NA Mazda MX-5 and this thing is like a go-kart for the road. Closest thing to a bike without actually getting a bike :P
Agreed! I've ridden a rebel250 daily for two years, 10k miles and still love the thing! It's perfect in the city and still capable of sustaining 70 when I wanna jump on the highway for 10-20 mins. Every time I seriously consider getting something larger, I think about how light the rebel is and how I'll lose the 70mpg I'm currently getting. I definitely will get something more suited for longer trips someday but I'll be keeping the rebel! It's just such an awesome, reliable little machine!
I bought mine brand new exactly 10 years ago. I still have it. 34000 miles, 4 sets of tires, 3 chains later. It's still going strong. I could have flipped it for what I got it for but when the industry moved to 300cc that killed the resale value for the 250. But what's great about this bike is that it's cheap to run, cheap to insure and cheap to fix. If you need a utilitarian motorcycle that'll get you from A to B and is tons of fun in the twisties, this is it. Adding a stainless brake line up front and fork springs for your weight with gold-valve emulators unlocks a new level of capability too. The best part about this bike? No one's going to steal it!
Last fall, I bought my 2017 Ninja 300 with only 177 miles on it. I truly love the bike. 300 cc is a ton of fun. I love how light-weight it is, which keeps me feeling connected to it well. Good luck on the Honda. Looks like a great bike.

It's a very forgiving bike. I have a 2012 version with ABS, brought it last year for 2000 bucks with 3000 miles as my first bike, just got it to around 13,000 miles. Previous owner had frame sliders on it, as a result, I was able to drop my bike about 5 or 6 times while doing parking lot practices with no worries. Okay, maybe the muffler was a bit scratched up. Just a tad warning, everything on the road can outrun you. I'm 5'4, I weigh about 165 pounds, the fastest I got it to was 82 mph before I felt really bad for the bike because it felt like she was screaming stop.

Gotta note here that this is the very first of your videos I’ve watched. I’ve driven commercial vehicles and charged vehicles, but I’m just now looking for my first motorcycle. Seems like a 250cc is as high as I should go right now lol. Awesome video! 👍🏻
I'm 6' plus weigh 13 stone and I've had 103 from my cbr250r with nothing more than an aftermarket exhaust and proper gear changes. A 125 will hit 70. There's absolutely no reason why a 250 won't hit 100 bar user error
And that is is why you not cheap your insurance on all of you vehicles... and for ask the insurance is not even that expensive, I only pay about $300/year on my insurance and it already covers everything.

Not a bad bike I want to get into riding period but where I live we have a lot of country roads where people do 65 or more not to mention the interstates that people do period so I might need something a little bit bigger than 250
And the sound of the exhaust doesn't sound bad but for me I'd probably like modify the muffler remove it and add a performance muffler but whatever it's not that bad I could live with that I like that sound
something wrong with your engine bro or maybe the exhaust..i have the same bike.. and my engine sound is more smooth with characteristics ringing 250 noises..
@@MotoChrisOfficial No man, I literally bought the exact same model today, 2013 black CBR and it doesn't sound like that. Of course, it could be the effect of the mic but just saying.
Why do people obsess over ABS? It sucks. Increases stopping distance, especially in the wet. It leaves you with no brakes on loose surfaces like dirt or gravel. Learn your bike. Don't use the excuse "I can't ride hard cuz I don't have ABS"

CBR250R is a very Awesome bike I have 2011 model. I had rode it to 150 km/hr of speed..
deyyymmm! at this current rate. you're on a fast track back unto the higher cc class :D Congrats! keep it up
I found an f4i on FB marketplace for 2k a while back. I see them 3.5k all day long. Those are supposed to be super solid 600s. Unfortunately, I've been waiting for at least a year for a bike, and I'm probably not done waiting. I may just get a 250.
Summer is just right around the corner. Don't give up! I've been flipping motorcycles for the last 3 years..you'd be amazed at how much money people leave on the table and how many amazing bikes are sold for cheap on a weekly basis. At 10k subs I'm going to make a video teaching everyone how they can find those deals. I hope you find the bike for you!
Gotta note here that this is the very first of your videos I’ve watched. I’ve driven commercial vehicles and charged vehicles, but I’m just now looking for my first motorcycle. Seems like a 250cc is as high as I should go right now lol. Awesome video! 👍🏻
Thanks man! Check out the rest of my vids 300s are a fantastic option too
The unpredictable nature of the bikes you pick up is fantastic. What's next? A club style harley sportster? haha
Some guy is selling a 2012 honda cbr 250cc for 1500 is that a good price ? 12,000 miles on it
5:36 this was an epic moment
Never give up on your dreams !
How are the engine vibrations/roughness considering it is a single cyl ?
I have a 2011 CBR250R and the I will say there’s quite a bit of vibrations
In my area they cost as much as a full size bike. I just want something to commute on...
I gave up Hayabusa
250 honda cbr Kerner
End pipe what ah sound
USVI RASTA MAN
It's a motorcycle, better than driving a car...well said😂
I'm 6' plus weigh 13 stone and I've had 103 from my cbr250r with nothing more than an aftermarket exhaust and proper gear changes. A 125 will hit 70. There's absolutely no reason why a 250 won't hit 100 bar user error
Drove one from Dallas to Miami. Fun bike
I have a 2011, same model, put a shorty exhaust on it, debadge the 250 and nobody knows lol
debadge it haha.. don't be ashamed of that 250 :)
And that is is why you not cheap your insurance on all of you vehicles... and for ask the insurance is not even that expensive, I only pay about $300/year on my insurance and it already covers everything.
if you pay 300$ a year then you aren’t gonna get covered for a full motorcycle lol
@@andrewbroham3811 well... maybe in your country. But let me correct my first statement. I pay for my insurance for around $28/month so about $350 a year more/less. And it's already covered everything. (Bike Stolen, All involve in the Accident and even if my bike was ridden by other person as long as he has the required license to drive a certain displacement then I'm all good)
bro can you help me? I have the same bike and was wondering how you set off so fast? adding throttle doesn't work for me, and no video has helped. Its led to me starting off super slow and annoying at stops
There's a 250r about 3k cheaper than any other bike and with that kind of deal and with only 9k km that's a hell of a deal
I am 6 foot, 6,1 would it be small for me? Great video and bike!
I’m 6’1 and I love mine.
@@sl-br4rm I got mine a couple of weeks ago, I love that thing
What was your price that you paid? I'm looking to buy one of these, and would love to know my round about price.
its only not good enough if you got little pp energy, most the time a 600s power is bottled up by the laws of the rd anyways
Bro those front forks and triple tree look tiny. I guess they dont need to be as robust though.
Is this good for somebody who’s never ridden before?? Looking to get one
I want to buy an r3 but its always out of stock in our country 🥺🥺 still waiting tho 😭
do you think a guy of 6,4 foot would fit on this bike? (193cm)
How to wheelie a 200cc ?
i love this video very detailed. thank you.
That's India's 250 sweatheart ♥️
Put a takegawa complete kit in a cbr250r =monster
This one is cheap now. But very reliable, since it's Honda
Wouldn’t bother with anything less than 400 cc IMO
ride it first, even the 250 is "fast" enough to keep everyone Entertained. I ride a 954 and the little 250 is way more fun on small roads
The engine sounds different than the usual CBR250R. Or maybe it's just the recording.
Noisy valves that need adjustment, I'm pretty sure ! I owned a 2013 for one season and it definitely wasn't ticking like this !
hey how much do you weigh and how tall are you? i’m trynna figure out how i’d fit
What camera are you using to film? I’m sorry ur bike got stolen and hope ur channel blows up to so u can get ur bike back!
I use a go pro and my cell phone lol
Get your bike checked. The tappit alignment is horribly wrong
That sound tak tak tak
Hufff please get it fixed
stellar attitude love it
I can now go 150+kph on this bike, I believe it can go faster-its a 2011 cbr250r✌️
How much is the usual insurance for this in the US?
You got that bike real quick
Did anyone else noticed the odd sound the engine is producing? I think its rocker arm is comple gone.
i think thats just how it sounds brother. its a little thumper
@@MotoChrisOfficial No man, I literally bought the exact same model today, 2013 black CBR and it doesn't sound like that. Of course, it could be the effect of the mic but just saying.
I'm 6'7 270 lbs looking to get into riding bikes what would you recommend for a first bike
Hayabusa
Cb500x for a bigger person
I bought a cxr 250 yesterday
Why do people obsess over ABS? It sucks. Increases stopping distance, especially in the wet. It leaves you with no brakes on loose surfaces like dirt or gravel. Learn your bike. Don't use the excuse "I can't ride hard cuz I don't have ABS"
So what was your price?
u bought second hand used bike ?
Is it a good commuter bike?
Yep! And great on gas!
