Thank you. Your videos have helped me immensely get the courage to try this. I have allergies so I am always looking for something different. Actually first heard about them watch NCIS Hawaii where Ernie speaks to Lucy Tara about as his character had been introduced to bubble tea and that got me on my search to find if it was something I could enjoy. Thanks I have learnt so much with your videos from Louise in Australia 🇦🇺.
I couldn't find the pre flavored bobas so I got the clear ones and I didn't know how to flavor it and couldn't find any vids how too. But then I found this video. Thank u
Hey Justin, Thanks for the positive feedback 👍🏼 Doing a video about different types of black teas sounds interesting! I'll add it to my future videos list ideas 😉
You could try whatever you'd like, but they'd get really plump and gooey if left out overnight. They wouldn't taste right either. They're best to cook and eat within a few hours really... A delicacy. 👍🏼
Hello 👋🏼 Welcome!!!! I'm obsessed with Boba too 😅 Were you curious how to cook home made boba? Have a video on that in the tapioca playlist... 👍🏻 I guess the answer to your question depends on my understanding of the point of the question. 😇🧋😉
When I saw your video was 4 times longer than any other on the subject I thought “What the Fried potato chip”, than I thought, well, I have time to waste so why not… Then I watched your video and yes, I found your information very VERY VE.RY valuable. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I feel I can cook perfect clear bobas now. One question though : what’s the best method to freeze cooked bobas? Also, should those be reheated before use? Also : thank you for offering a vegan alternative to honey! 🌱
Hello 👋🏼 Your comment was so kind and inspiring ☺️. Some people enjoy the extra info, and it's free anyway! 😂 But others just want the easy cut and dry. I try to do a bit of both. Not talk too much with useless info, but enough for people to understand WHY the process behind everything. 😇😅 Okay so for freezing cooked boba: I've not done it myself personally, but I know many people who have told me they have done it for home use and they are happy with the results. Nothing beats freshly cooked tapioca pearls, but if you just want to keep some in some ice cube trays with water, and then simply defrost them for a few seconds in the microwave until they're at the correct consistency and texture, then go for it.👍🏼 There's no harm in doing it and it's a good alternative for home use after you've cooked a big batch. Hope that helps! 💯
Great video! How can I get that maple/rasin/licorice taste WuFuYuan dark tapioca pearls have?? I love the taste but can't find the recipe anywhere. Plz help.
There are different types of brown sugars. I would suggest researching to find out exactly how many exist... Then get ahold of every single one and melth them all down... Try each one and see which is closest. XFT claims to use brown sugar from Taiwan. I know there's Taiwanese brown sugar for example. But I also know the pre-made brown sugar for shops comes in flavor variations as well. Perhaps this could be a fun an delicious research project for you! 🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋
can you list some sources for suppliers for commercial grade ingredients? Also for cups, straws, seals, etc? I am located in the USA, Kentucky, and i am having a hard time narrowing down a supplier, or determine if what they sell is quick cook/slow cook.
Hello 👋🏼 Thank you! Well, it depends. If you're making tapioca pearls at home from scratch, and you're not adding any sugar to them, then yes they'll take this taste the same. However if you're wanting to compare them to the tapioca pearls that you get from XFT or a tiger sugar type place, then no, these types of white clear pearls generally don't have any added sugar to them. Or if they do it would be a lower amount. The sweetness of boba generally comes from soaking it in a sweet solution thereafter, so the more sweeter you want it the higher concentration of sugar you should soak it in there after cooking. Hope that helps 😃
You'd need to make it from scratch using tapioca flour in order to do that. I have a video on how to make pearls from scratch in a playlist on my channel. th-cam.com/play/PLK7g_t77IW0JnYz5nx_tyPq89qILm0Ojl.html
I bought boba for the first time (there are no shopps that sells it around here), and mine are white and rock hard. The bag doesn't say anything about what kind they are or how to cook them though, but I'm guessing from your video that they are the quick cook kind? How would you cook them? Do you have any videos on that?
There's so many other videos about how to cook the quick cook type. (Or a quick Google search too.) I haven't done a video for the quick cook type yet. I personally am not a fan of them so I've only purchased them once 🤣

Hello Elam, That's a great question 😂 I think you're referring to the Tiger Brown Sugar or similar? Really to get that look and taste, you'll need to incorporate molasses too.
Hi Marisa, Do you mean toppings like jellies and juice balls which need to be refrigerated, or the tapioca bobas which should be kept warm or room temp...? 😇
@@BubbleTeaKristin Hi! I mean the toppings/jellies and the white tapioca pearls? Also, how long do these toppings/jellies last before making a new batch?
@@marisak8194 If it was a juice ball or jelly, they need to stay in their juice they came with in a refrigerated container. Once you open them they're good for up to a month. I used a rotation system in a refrigerated glass display case so all of the customers could see what the refrigerated items looked like. For any toppings that needed to be kept warm, such as white or black boba, we had also on the display case pictures of the white and black boba with its name, but it obviously wasn't in the refrigerated case, it was kept in its own warmer separately. Mmm... Interesting.🤷🏼♀️ If there are no ingredients on the outside of the bag, I would be wary about this. Hi Kristin 👋🏼 So once we make our tea we don’t need anymore sweetener than the one already infused in the boba? Or is it just to our taste? Thank you in advance. Love your videos ✌🏻
