Damn! My first bike in '77. Loved it!
Awesome! do you still have it?
I bought my first S3 in 1975 and sold my last S4 in 2018. I"ll always love these triples. :)
WTF is an S4 ??
What is an S4????
Another great restoration Pete. Someone will get a lot of joy riding that bike for years to come.
Thanks Mark!
Fantastic !! Nothing better than the sound of a Kawasaki triple !! 😎😎😎😎😎
Beautiful!!! You did very well! I hope I can find one as good someday. It's even the right color.
Great job Pete, bringing them back to life.
Thanks!
Clean, love the old 2 smoke street bikes.
Thanks!!! Nothing quite like 2 stroke power!
@@PetesClassicCycle Definitely 👍
Hi Pete. another cool video. I am a fellow Ontarian like yourself , with a couple of triples as well.... just not the hands on experience as you. it would be very very appreciated if you might consider adding an element of How To in you videos. :) maybe a start to finish Triple Restoration . A lot of work I know ,but think of how many more S1 S2 S3's etcetera you would be saving. Thanks for now and hope to see you out on the road sometime soon. Until then be safe and keep the right hand pinned.
Thanks for your comment and input! Is there anything specific you would like me to touch on? Given my schedule it's very hard to do a detailed step by step process, especially since every bike is different and there is "more than 1 way to skin a cat". HOWEVER, I am always open to try and help anyone and listen to criticism. You can also send me direct messages either through my facebook page or instagram where I will be more than happy to have a conversation.
I just started a resto on my 1976 I bought new 48 years ago.
That's awesome! Please reach out if you need any help with anything.
I had a 1974 and 1975 400 triples fast little bikes
Nice work! You can't call it dusty anymore.
No sir! Better watch out; or I'm coming after your H1
The engine sound is great . Does the exhaust system from this motorcycle fit on the Kawasaki KH400 ?
Yes, same pipes. Only this size triple has one piece exhausts, all the others have separate front pipes.
Thanks!
I believe there is a slight design difference in the exhaust flange but they do fit exactly the same
I have a NOS set in storage for use on my project, they were a lucky find in NZ some years ago. Can’t be many like that left in the world I’m guessing.
Hey igot that same bike ,but its green and in grate shape how much are they worth ,i would like to get it out of my shed.
It really all depends on so many variables. That market is also pretty flat right now. Personally, during the height of all the madness 2 years ago the most I was able to sell a 400 for was around 4500. Now it would probably be 3000-3500 in the real world. Don't get too hung up on all the hype of the online auctions etc. I suggestion is..if you don't have to sell right now... wait for the market to bounce back.
crap aftermarket air filters....bad idea
