Got to celebrate the bike as it came out the factory. I wasn't happy about having to change the EXUP exhaust but the headers were rotten. I've still got the original exhaust though and looking at a specialist fabricator to repair them.

The zinc plating I had done at my local platers in Redditch Worcestershire. It's called Redditch Electo Plating. The carb balancer is called vacummate.
Nice movie!! I am Japanese, and I have same motorcycle. So, tell me please. Stock exhaust is painted black. Do you remove paint, or replace optional part? Sorry, my English is broken.
Better English than my Japanese 👍. Unfortunately the original EXUP exhaust was badly corroded and beyond repair so I fitted an aftermarket Black Widow exhaust.

I hate it. Was the owner of an -86 Japanese import Fzr400R and thats exactly how they should be: An -86. Only an unrestored survivor will make me pay up to own one again.
That's a beautifully done restoration. The attention to detail. The FZR looks so clean!
It may not be my machine, but my first 400cc was this color FZR. It was a memorable machine that I went touring in Hokkaido for two months.

Hi! What front brake rotors did you use?
They are the one's on the bike when i got it. I just cleaned them up. I believe they were the originals.
Where to get parts from? I am getting a chance to buy model 1992 but am hesitant due to parts unavailability.
Most parts were refurbished, any gaskets, bearings fittings etc needed i either used

Yes did it all myself apart from the powder coating and zinc plating. I'm a painter by trade so that was my favourite bit.
