KH400's had a slightly more restrictive intake and made a couple of BHP less than an S3, which in turn had made a little less than an S2. My own KH500 was a bit gutless compared to the earlier models, until it was ported and expansion chambered, after which it ate clutch plates from slippage, even with stronger springs and an extra washer on each bolt. It was an absolute rocket for a while though. It did get tiresome with almost no bottom end pull below 3,000 RPM but I miss the fantastic sound these triples made.
I'm always stoked to see a new vid produced by you man. Keep on the good work mate
Thank you Sir! I'll keep them coming.
I had a 1976 KH400 S3. Miss that bike. :-(
Love triple two strokes ,nothing sounds like them and they ran good.
I agree, they sound beautiful.
Gorgeous
The steering damper wasn't a standard fit on European models, not sure about US?
Is this the same as a KH400? I bought one back in 1977 or 1978 new. Mine was green. Looks very similar. I never see these anywhere. I blew it up.
