  • This video goes over the shoulder girdle, specifically the deltoid and trapezius and their relationship. I struggled with this area for many years, so I hope it helps others.

*sudden wave of understanding* OOOOOHHHHH. I've always sort of been able to convincingly fake my way around the rest of the body, but I had no CLUE how to draw this area- ESPECIALLY from the side. This is exactly what I needed.
I have to say as well, I find the collarbone a lot easier to imagine if I think of chicken's wings. Does that make any sense? Like in cartoons, when you see a featherless chicken or w/e. Maybe that's just me~

Amazing video. Just awesome. A few technical corrections... the part of the scapula that the connects to the clavicle is the acromion. When people get AC joint separations, AKA a "separated shoulder", this connection is what is disrupted. This is not where the humerus connects. The humeral head sits in the glenoid, which at the tip of the triangle of the scapula, a little bit lower and forward of the AC joint. When people get a "dislocated shoulder", it means the humeral head is no longer sitting in this shoulder socket (glenoid fossa). But these are just quibbles, really. The AC joint and glenoid are very close to each other and move in unison.

This is a help, I always had difficulty drawing the male chest and body so I avoided it but following along with this tut made everything so clear, thank you so much for the hard work you put into making these videos! I find the repetitions quite usefull, as opposed to what others experience. In order to retain the info you present here I have to draw along so when I miss something because I'm looking down or am thinking about the relation of each part I know you will touch back on it again and even in another perspective. Really great work, I appreciate it.

That bump you keep referring too is the Corocoid Process, and the Scapula spine which projects from the scapula leads to the Acromion Process creating the acromioclavicular joint. On top of that I really think it's important that you cover the Glenoid Fossa which protrudes off the lateral aspect of the scapula. The Glenoid Fossa is where the humeral head fits (ball & socket joint) If you need any help with anatomical labeling let me know. I'm in radiology so I gots to know these things lol.
