10+ years of self taught free-handing all of my drawings. 10+ years of looking at people, how they move, what their proportions are, where everything begins and ends. 10+ years of sketches, sketches, and more sketches that resulted in being able to draw pretty decently. But this? Holy crap, this is mind blowing to me! Thank you for all you do!
Just curious, where does Sycra go to study all the muscle and skeleton anatomy? Or is he just dissecting people in his spare time and I don't know about it?

I learned literally everything I know about anatomy from you Sycra! I’ve been watching since 2017 :] You were and still are a huge inspiration for me and so many other artists. Love you man!
For some reason, legs/leg connections always came naturally to me in anatomy. But if you could hook a brotha up with an Arm to Torso video, on the other hand...
I'd long time that i don't watch your videos sycra but watching this video remind me that you're the only one artist who explain every detail of the lesson that you teaches.
As always very inspiring. For some unknown reason, your videos work for me. I learn far more from them, than from other artists. As for traditional vs. digital: It's nice to see how you work with a pen for a change. How you hold it and move it. While digital recordings show the outcome a little more clearly, this way you can far better indicate what you're talking about when you literally point at it with the pen.
I love the scientific|analytical analysis of art you give. It makes it so anyone, regardless of style, can watch your video and have your information work for them. Great job; I'd really like to see you break a million!
Just wanted to thank you for these videos. I have searched for ways to understand the basics - from scratch - in many places including books but none explained so clear like you. Now I can draw correctly and I can move to more complex stuff. Huge help!
I love your traditional style of tutorials. I actually prefer them over the Digital just because I have really start to get into traditional. Line weight and arm movement is super important and it helps me a shit ton when I see my favorite artists actually draw with thier arm, instead of just a digital cursor.
I've been banging my head against my tablet for the past month and a half trying to find a good tutorial; thank you Sycra, wish I came across this sooner.
This is excellent. Probably the best one I have heard, even better than when I was in medical school. Like this method better than the computer. Can understand this better. Thank you Mary Groda-Lewis
Well, that's one of the best and most useful (for me at least) drawing tutorial I've see. The right proportion of anatomy to simplification. I love it. I'm going to check what else you have to offer on your channel! Thank you!
I LOVE the ones where you draw with a pen - it's super helpful to actually see people draw and the way their hands move, ect. Also helpful to see the paper get messy instead of how digital is where you can just wipe it and do it again.
holy jeez peanuts in a bag of grated corn!!!!! this explained everything to me!!! sycra you are a god!!! I couldn't get it down for the life of me! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Thank you so much for these tutorials. As a new artist starting later in life these have been invaluable. I truly am so grateful for you. Keep up the great work!
When you realize you've been drawing "sausage legs" your whole life... I guess I start drawing them the right way. Thanks, sycra, even though that wasn't the main point of the video.
Tutorials using more traditional methods feels more natural. I love watching your hands move and seeing how you hold your instrument. Also +1 for sketching in pen. I love using pen to sketch.
I kind of prefer the traditional videos just because it's the way I'm doing things now. Also I'm stuck at anatomy for the moment, so this tutorial is very welcome. Thank you, Sycra!
Very pleasing to look at indeed, Sycra. I'd just like to say I found this video to be *extremely* helpful, because you explained how skeletal and muscle structure affect the total shape of the legs, and body. Most artist don't do that. And to that, I thank you so very much. As for the type of media you used, I prefer the traditional style over digital, but I know it can be more efficient to use digital. With all that said, this was one of the best tutorial type videos I've seen. This was very appreciated! :) (hopes Sycra releases further videos in traditional style :D)
Great tutorial! I got a lot better at this with just studying anatomy a lot, but it still was really helpful to see your way of doing it! I also think it's nice to see you doing these tutorials traditionally, because it shows that you don't need expensive equipment to do this stuff, because from my experience beginners often will think an expensive tablet would solve all their problems.
I have always had a problem with leg connection and this helped loads. And by the way thank you tons for using a notebook format because as much as I like the digital, I personally took more in from the physical drawing, since I do more of that stuff. Thank you!
The video is great! And what a coincidence! I was having trouble last night attaching legs, and today after I got on youtube, I get this video as recommendation.

your videos are always so soothing. I love when they appear in my sub box no matter what the title or topic :) and I actually liked this traditional video ... but I don't really care (though seeing your hand is more personal ;))
a was struggling so hard finding a tutorial for this particular area of the body until I saw your video. Thank you so much for sharing because I couldn't figure this out just by buying anatomy books.
Awesome video! This really helped my understanding of the legs. I've been struggeling with this for a while. I would love to see more stuff like this in the future. For the medium, I think it's nice to see some traditional stuff, it didn't detract from the topic at all.
Thanks for great tutorial. Very useful. That is the place that was tough for me. The another is muscles on the scapula and how they connect to the arm.
I've "watched" a few How To videos hoping to learn something useful, but this is the first one that isn't full of useless fluff information that makes my brain switch off (except for that whole being embarassed about the genitals bit) - point is, it's to the point and simple, and I really liked that.
Straight to the point! Thank you for this my man. After all the gesture drawing I've beem doing the last few months, this was a great addition to the puzzle for me. Subscribed!

I love watching your tutorials. Tjey are fascinating. I used to paint and draw and now that I have retired I hope to go back to that. I've noticed some really interesting photos of David Tennant, a very tall lanky UK actor. Some photographers have shot him from top down with some very interesting perspective results. A lot of forshortening of a really tall body. Mizgenomer on TUMBLER seems to have been on set in the background taking a lot of photos. They might be some of her shots. You might find them interesting too as you see the entire person from head to feet. Very challenging perspective.
Wow, I've been struggling with this for sometime, so I'm thankful for this video ..... how the heck did you figure this out Sycra? I've never seen the legs explained like this before.
