Most people can't appreciate the effort that goes into making "a box". Great work, as usual.

Bamboo nails! Never occurred to me when I wanted thin dowels to fasten joints. Doh! Love it.

Jimmy. Your creativity is off the charts with this project. From the video production through the silk screening. I hope you included the final cut to the customer and recorded the smile on their face when it's received.

You have reached an interesting point in your career where people who know your skills and interests can order something (like this box), and feel confident that the end product will be a unique "one-off" that meets their design criteria, just the way they imagined it would.
I found the whole process fascinating, and especially enjoyed your narration. I imagine really successful architects, boat designers, interior decorators and chefs must have the same skills of (listening), tuning into their client's needs and wants, then translating it into the real world without changing the customer's vision too much because of costs or time constraints.

This is one of my favorite Diresta projects. Believe it or not, I bet routing in the correct sized slots for the sliding top can be the most difficult part. It definitely takes more thought and process than I thought it would! Thanks Jimmy!

Another lovely project to try. I thought the razor blade wood scraper was groovy. What I like about your videos is that you can use the item your woking on. I don't like throwing thing away and if I can fix it I'll keep it and work on. Good luck with the old gas station re-build.

You can also use a printer. Laser printer toner will transfer using an iron. Inkjet ink will also transfer using the backing of label printer paper. Remember to reverse your text. (same as screen printing.)

After the great weekend at Boston for the Making It Podcast 100th episode, it's good to see another of your fine projects Jimmy! Alternatives to the bamboo joinery could have been CA-glued brass rods or square-cut nails (thought the sides may have split from the wedge effect). Best regards from Montréal, Mike
