German spec. is to put the axle boot seams horizontal, facing the rear. There is no flex in the seam and they will tear if the seam is on top. Put a bead of sealer on the seam. Cheers!
My 1977 Volkswagen bus shakes like hell when I put it on reverse especially the back tires it’s horrible and I don’t know what to do can somebody help me thanks

Trans mounta in good shape , installed correctly , tight , then check the Bowden tube for correct installation and bow !
Clutch problem? Bad flywheel surface ? Pressure plate in poor shape ? Cracked trans case ? Main shaft bearing failure ?
Drop the engine revving B.S. it is annoying...........
