Hi Bella. I have loved to sew for as long as I can remember. I’m 77 now and you are still teaching me new tricks Thank You 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you so much. Xx
Have never made anything like this
Hi Bella, were you talking about "The darling buds of May " series with David Jason ..... lovev the way he says ... PERFIC .... I have the old tapes of the whole series & have watched numerous times ...... feel-good viewing as I stitch 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Yes and it was days afterwards that I remembered the series. It was so silly we had watched the end of the series a few weeks ago. Honestly i don’t know what happens when we start filming but words just seem to escape us. Lol xxx
Quite some years ago, I watched an educational program of an Appalachian group of women doing these hexagons. A flat canning lid was used as a pattern to cut the circles, then sewn into the hexagon! It's a US version of the English paper method. I made dozens of them and they're sitting unused somewhere in my sewing room.
Love the hexagons and flowers. I’m trying to get some material and floss so I can at least start playing around a little bit. I am so slow with anything I do, but thought I will at least try a page and practice some stitches. I appreciate your kindness and patience for those of us who have no experience with this! I also appreciate that you leave mishaps in. So I don’t get too frustrated when it happens to me. 😂 Hugs 🤗❤️
Aww thank you for your lovely comment. Xx
That burrow stitching adds a really nice texture. I love the feel of the material with the little bumpy rows.
Me too and apparently it’s Boro, who knew. Lol xx
Love your fabric choices. That stich is called Boro. Thanks for the video.
Ahh thank you for the Boro word I think it’s the way the Australians say it. 😘
I believe it’s Japanese! Your work is lovely - new watcher, here from Canada. ❤️🇨🇦
Bella this is coming along beautifully. Love the hexagons going to dig out my quilt pieces. Thank you for sharing 💕💕xx
Hi love, I love the hexicons too. I hope you have fun. Xx
Hi Bella, these little hexagons are so cute! I like the burrows as well. Thanks for your inspiration! Xxx
Thank you for watching I just learnt it’s Boro from a subbie. 🙄
I think it’s called Boro stitch. Please correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure it’s do with the Japanese Sashiko style. It’s another name for running stitch
It is restful and I enjoyed this video a lot. Thankyou. 😁
Thanks for the info! Xx
Hi Bella .. I think that stitching is called BORO stitching .... Definitely sounds like BURROW .. I thought it was called BURROW for a long time 😊😊😊
Lol its the Australian accent that was where i heard the word. Lol xxx

Hi Bella is there padding between the layers that you are sewing it looks rather thick. I like the stitching that you are doing. the burrow stitch.
Yes there is. Thank you for watching.❤
there is an easier way to do that folded hexagon. it gets ironed in its shape.
I know I couldn’t for the life of me remember, it’s an age thing. Lol thank you. Xx
no,it is not.we just have so much crammed inside our brain to do ,remember etc,it overloads and for safety, our brain does a dump.

I cannot help but be the " pronunciation police " but it is called BORO , as in "to borrow a cup of sugar ".
That’s OK I don’t mind being corrected, my hubby corrects me all the time. Xx
JUDE HILL 7years ago showed the invisible stitch.and many more interesting tips .just saying.
