18:12 "I am gonna end this man's whole career"- Blue Planet
18:18"*chuckles* I am in danger"- Purple Planet
18:47-The entire colour spectrum
18:12 that pink planet got atomized 💀
It was super nova
LOL
I found it before it died 17:39
OH I am here😂😂 8:49
The pink planet said 😐➡️🫥
This feels less like planet formation and more like star formation. Especially when you see this part 18:09
So much volatile motion on the surface AND in the core, so that all it took was a minor collision to make it explode. Reminds me of a star. They're in such a delicate balance.
mb b
18:17 i do love how it imploding also makes the asteroids around it implode from the force of all the particles slamming into it
Bro that purple asteroid wanted to join the party and just got obliterated;-;
Lol, I saw that too and it was super cool. Anything caught in those blasts are ripped apart.
ionizing radiation fr
also happens at 11:50 !
I don’t feel so good… *auuuhhhhhhh*
omg the explosions are like supernovae! the physics are a little different but once the pressure inside gets too high it explodes and throws enough matter out to restart formation!
it's crazy how 3d these shapes can look sometimes, especially during collisions. it's like it tricks your brain with the amazing physics to think that it's 3d.
Yeah, Especially when he zooms out. it looks like a newly found nebula that NASA took a screenshot of..🤨
If you pause at 1:00 then you'll see it.
Go to 18:30

Maybe a biological mod would be cool!(or nuclear fusion or 2 earths colliding)
Well you see biology is already in the game…
I would still want to see a biology+ mod. A mod that adds biology as a bunch of materials and expands already existing biology to new areas.
(Or any form of destruction and annihilation)
There is already biology in this game.
@@kacperxt371 oh but uh.. it uses a custom game engine and stuff so modding would be WAY harder (learning a whole new coding laguage since it runs off gpu not standard code) and a lot of other stuff (there might be a ingame moding system i cant remember)
14:53 Bro that magnetic filed was so good
18:10 i think what happend here is the shockwave from the impact destabilized the core which was already HIGHLY pressurized causing a small explosion, but the REAL damage was after the implosion
I wish you had checked on that second supernova in the upper left more often to see how they interacted.
True
Planet hitting planet 3:02, 3:44, 4:34, 5:27, 5:39, 7:34, 11:50, 12:47, 13:30, 14:20 ( I guess 16:12 ?), 17:56, 18:56, 20:30, 21:17, (the end? 23:34 )
18:13 this part started to make galaxies
and the cosmic web
@@charliechai5697it also kinda looks like earth atmosphere too lol
it's like watching raindrops on the window.
so relaxing, and a lot happens no matter where you look.
I love these types of videos based on universe simulations. By far my favorite SST video!
18:12 purple planet be like: waoh whats happening here- (gets vaporized)
You can get some pretty silly effects if you set the friction value in the cosmos settings to something slightly lower than -1 (-1.01 for instance). It causes particles to continually speed up as opposed to being slowed down.
Do you think that if You could spin a planet really fast some material would be thrown into an orbit ? ( for The moon video)
If some escapes, then the gravity gets weaker and more escapes leading to the planet exploding. I think he needs to make a planet hit the other one really fast and at an angle, so that only a small part of the matter gets the necessary speed to reach a stable orbit
@@juergenkern6763so basically, simulate thea
in order to get something to orbit you need to throw it sideways hard like that but then also apply a force near the height of its trajectory. If you didn't do that then it would just go smash back into the ground
By the way at 18:18 you can see how the planets melt away from the supernova, i think it is pretty cool.
Love this game
galaxy collision bbjghnb gggnh
these videos on space toolkit are awesome and remind me of the good ol days watching your powder toy videos! keep up the good work my guy!
I think you could stabilize the particles from exploding by increasing the c power of the particles. or by increasing the timesteps
18:09 looks like a sun about to go supernova because it could not hold out against internal force. Of course we didn't see it but it would have been interesting
this game is beautiful as always
this video is incredible. its just such a satisfying thing, watching all the mass coalesce into objects. some orbiting, some colliding. rhe planets growing larger and larger. please do this again
11:52 It shattered its moon counterpart which is kind of neat 15:08 that other planet from it was created from initial impact remnants
18:18 you can see a purple planet get destroyed by the explosion
At about 14:30, the first star of the sim formed and it has matured at around 18:00. It's mainly powered by quantum tunneling instead of conventional nuclear fusion because of the sim
i think turning the max gravitational velocity up caused the max size thing as you turned that up to max( a bit after you separated everything from each other with the spin)
The explosions are a byproduct of having such a high maximum collision speed, if you set that lower, there will be no more explosions, at the cost of having a lower "speed of light"
this is my favorite game ive seen you play and i wish more people played this on youtube
I wish I had a better GPU, also the demo on steam is free if your looking to play it, you can still recreate a fair bit of what spike does in the paid version in the demo. (The most particles I can have is 100k)
Love these vids, keep doing what your doing 👍🏻
Alright i watched it and this really kept me wanting for more really good stuff
Suggestion: Try this again but with dirt stone iron and other stuff also you should also try the making 2 equil sizes and make them collide
this is my third time watching, this is so far my favorite vid of yours.
Me too I keep on watching it for some reason
This looks super cool. My assumption for the behavior of the 'planets' would be that, based on the view that we had there's a sort of reverberation in the body when a collision occurs (I think it acts as some sort of momentum multiplier for particles), and I am guessing that interaction with the "damping" mechanic (maybe you have damping turned down?) in the sim causes there to be a point where the 'planet' as you said is no longer stable... I am obviously no scientist but this had me thinking/wondering. I am interested on other's thoughts.
Do more of Space simulation Toolkit, I love the series!
This but with elementary particles. Basically a nuclear physics simulator. That'd be super fucking cool to see.
Spike just goes insane after blue collides
18:14 Basically how every large empire or kingdom turns into modern countries
4:59 boom yes
This game is absolutely incredible.
I'd love to see this again but without zooming in or out (we can see any collision happen and we can make points that show when something interesting happens)
18:17 that purple planet got destroyed by the explosion
People who saw a planet get obliterated while the supernova 👇
Me
The timeline of the giant space banana
19:08 the miraculous giant space banana forms
19:13 “the banana has been MANGO-IFIED!!!” And turned green-red
19:23 the banana became round and is yellow
19:26 the banana explodes, 2 planets collide into the debris and get obliterated
19:44 the banana reforms, unripe.
19:48 THE MIRACULOUS GIANT SPACE BANANA HAS ONCE AGAIN COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER OBJECT! ITS GONNA DIE FOREVER!!
20:00 the banana survives
20:31 yet another collision
20:40 the 2 planets try to split but fail
22:51 the banana explodes
Rip orange planet at 22:51
And the green one in the top left corner 22:51
@@AnthonyVelazquez-hr6jxthat’s not banana planet
Love these new videos of this game. They are so satisfying 🫡
Oh yes this is beautiful
Another day, another space simulation banger of a video
ANOTHER VIDEO ANOTHER VIDEO ANOTHER VIDEO
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very cool, just actually got this game!
18:09 super nova!
A black hole formation cuz it formed a accretion disc and a hawking radiation 14:31
if only i had the full version the galaxy looks great at the formation of the universe
TODAYS EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Centripetal VS centrifugal forces
Spike can you do a breakdown of your settings for this video?
I tried looking at his settings
I copied them exactly, and it’s much much more complicated than the menus he shows
ig spike created the universe... The more you know!
Do this but on a bigger scale if possible, because it's really fun to watch.
The thumbnail spike looks like he’s crazy
the formation of the universe had matter EVERYWHERE, so not only would you need a ludicrous amount of matter, you would also need to have a giant room to do stuff in
Btw, to make it more realistic to the Big Crunch, increase the gravity of materials
fav video so far!
18:12 impact creates shockwave 18:13 motion causes outer layer to become unstable, provoking the huge monster core. 18:14 material tries to recollect. 18:15 material recollects so violently it creates a secondary explosion, ripping apart the planet
first event (before 18:12) I call the Great Collision. 18:12 is the Great Impact, 18:15 is the Great Implosion
man this simulation was so satisfying lol
14:26 : The blue and yellow planets was start, when collison happens, the supermova will come
Btw if you still have gravity as a cubic function, just know that a quadratic function is the ONLY FUNCTION that can support stable orbits if you want things like moons
are you able to change that in the game?
Yeah, you can change most things if not everything
@@The_TinesJathian he changed it to a cubic in his last video
oh interesting
yeah i also noticed that there just werent really any orbits lol
18:14 The purple planet just got obliterated by the particles lmao
at 5:50 you can see some small objects pass the roche limit and fall apart
This was very interesting I want to see more of this lol
keep making more videos of this game please
13:33 i think it didn’t explode since it was pointing like a knife and not a hammer so the pressure wasn’t as hard and it just got wedged and reformed
This game is amazing.
15:43 - 15:50 Supernova steps:
1) 15:43 - Iron starts being fused from prior elements,
2) 15:44 - Core collapses on its own mass,
3) 15:45 - Outer layers of the star bounce off due to the collapse
4) 15:48 - Outer layers of the star come fall back into the core due to gravity and bounce back making a supernova
5) from 15:49 and on - Outer star layers continue to fly off burning everything on their way
6) 16:12 - Two neutron stars form and the cycle continues
please play SpaceSim. it uses the OpenSPH engine to make an entirely particle based cosmological sandbox, like sst combined with US
yes like this
Can you explain what settings you tweaked to make this simulation?
I watched 2 OF YOUR VIDEOS and bought the game
Who else feels like he should try this again with 10x the total mass
👇
pls more of this
6:54 this collision basically happened when the moon formed, but slightly different
Why does this remind me of Dr. McCoy on Star Trek 2? "According to myth, the universe was created in six days. Now watch out-- here comes Genesis! We'll do it for you in six minutes." 😀
More big bang i subbed im your fan
This is so cool I mean who will unlike this
would watch an hour long vid of this
18:19 the planet on the top left just got obliterated because of the particle ejection
rip planet
Rest in peace 😔
18:07 the blue asteroids shockwave went into the super dense core setting it free and exploding all nearby multi atom objects into single atoms
11:52 i like how the asteroid gets obliterated by the debris from the explosion
14:52 i think it's a gamma ray burst ?
What was the settings for this because I really wanna do this but I cant get it right
18:17 pruple planet got shredded
This made me get the game
6:12 these formations actually were caused by you. At the start you rotated the inner material a second time which increased it's speed and caused it to impact the slower outer material. you can already see the start of the formation of this ring of overdenisty just after you do it.
Big Bang.
I think that the collision of blue and yellow it made a prodoplant that
made purple
make a soler system then explode it
Approved
18:17 bro that moon got vaporized
I imagine you can let this run and create a solar system with some starting spin ofc
bro do this again but add like a small amount of energy and creatures and see if they survive inside of planets that form
Whh this is happening? Here: once the atoms in the core get so compressed, that thir force that keeps atoms from going into one another significant enough. It fails, and thus cause a lot of force to happen once it goes too far in. And this happens per atom that's inside of one another. To the point so much energy and force is made, it exploads. Thus backhoes is impossible in this Sim. Unless all matter somehow combines in a way the force is counted by gravity. Which itself
Can cause atoms to overshoot and fly out with a lot of force.
Huh well lets see how this goes
I lost count of how many supernova-like explosions have occured
bro, I was so excited when they just exploded it was like BOBA boom 7:00 this deserves a subscribe
Those explosions are supernovae
