Just hearing Sgt Maj say “There you go!” Makes me feel like I can do anything
Am i the only one who gets motivated from running cadences during company, battalion, and brigade runs?
This right here is what I miss most about the Army. Been out since 2005 and I can recall almost every company run I've been in. First time I heard this cadence was in BCT back in '98 and fell in luv with it ever since. Hittin 40 yrs old in a few months Lord willing and I'm still a lean and mean fightin machine Hooah ! Hard work baby. Get some !
Damn, they're motivated. Hard to actually get a formation to sound this good unless they're motivated (from what I've seen) great job fellas
I'm in my chair running
I am Air Force and 1999 I was with the 2ID (CRC Korea) and we did joint PT...hate to say it but Army gave me a PT "reality check" that day. We ended PT with Hardwork running Cadence...I loved it; first time I heard it. I was so moved I almost wanted to join the Army...almost.
Cadences like this were the only thing that kept me going on some of the more grueling runs during training. I still have a bunch of the running and marching cadences memorized 7 years later. Sing them in the shower, when I'm walking to classes or work, and of course when I go running (when ever I actually get off my ass to run).
I was the best Period! In the 82nd Airborne Division. I called cadence all by myself 7 1/2 miles rocking the whole way! AIRBORNE!
I literally put this on and run with it. Seriously helps keep my mind off trying to train to run past my 5k run. Wish I had a bad ass group like this by my side. Running sucks :( lol.
not sure why but seeing the people cheer them on while they learn a new cadence kinda gave me goosebumps (the good kind) haha
Finally, we have a video of the cadence being sang.
"the US Army is no ones bitch!!!!!!"10 miles no sweat!
This was one of my favorite things about the army. When someone could really sing cadence they could motivate the fuck out of you.
The more you sweat the less you bleed. Only the strong survive. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Semper Fidelis
Fort Jackson CSM Christian calling cadence with the Charlie Company (Cougars) of the 369th Adjutant General Company during the 2016 Run for Cancer.
mary brandon Charlie Cougars 369💪🏽
Great job!! It's kinda soothing. You forget you are running. More please?
This brings back some great sweet memories, it’s been 26years since I retired from the army but I still remember that cadence like it was yesterday.
Fuck YEAH. Now that's what I call a fucking awesome cadence.
Can't wait to be around this great energy I ship out august 7th infantry army strong
Montreal Patrick heyyyyy you, got to be, like me, 11b!! Airbornee!!! Infantry!! I can run!! To the sun!
Montreal Patrick my dude the only advice for you is study hard, getting smoked for days is terrible but when you get the chance always always always find a way to decompress. The little things matter to Keep you sane. Don't be a shit bag. Get that push up form down pat, run like someone is chasing you, be an animal during the sit ups and never I mean never fucking give up. They will break you if you let them. 1-19 echo company. Rock steady. Infantry. Hooah.
THAT brought back some memories!!!! Hard Work, No Sweat!!!
Mann, i always admired the soldier singing cadence while leading a group run.
this cadence is a good one but I see how it's sort of hard to start it
It was the first time they've ever done it so...
You don't cadence until you can pull this one off.
As a former Marine, SgtMaj is on point!!
I actually miss those company, battalion and Brigade runs. Great motivation. I do remember one of our NCOs at Ft Gordon falling out of the run calling cadence. I felt bad for him.

MY WORDS ~ Leadership ability is something that can not be learned by reading the well known book, "How to win friends and influence people". My opinion is, in reference to our Blessed America; Find a sincere way to fire-up, create confidence, give tools to the youthful, highly spirited, American boys and, great men will follow. Leadership is earned.
*ABOVE IS A TRIBUTE TO MY SONS.
