This cadence is surprisingly deep. Basically it tells the story of a soldier who did die at war. His mama thought that he would die, his wife knew he would die, and his son... cried because his daddy died. Damn.... But the soldier, despite knowing of his impending demise, did what he needed to do to protect his wife and kids.
Nope: the original text of this cadence in the ending is: the day I left- i shook my dads hand He said that I- have become a man. There is nothing motivating singing about being dead, its more of we are in this shit together brotherhood. Yw
I’ll never forget the day I left for basic, I was sitting down making coffee, my mom walked in the kitchen, me and her never really saw eye to eye on much, always had a strained relationship. I noticed her walk in and we stared at each other for a moment then she just completely broke down and I broke down too and we just hugged each other for a while. So when I got to basic and we started singing and the DS said “..my momma cried..” I stopped singing. Thank God she’s still around, that day our relationship got so much better.

@@AZRAELIV like I said, the soldiers might be mostly well intentioned but they aren't helping countries change, they are actually stopping them from changing. Afghanistan was a disaster for example. The "Afghan army" ran from the fight on the same day as America left. That was after over a decade of American training. Stop deluding yourself.
I’m 8 year Army veteran with 4 OIF tours, I saw every spectrum of that cadence. I was an unmarried only child who left home, I saw my buddies leave behind wives and children and brought a few home draped in flags. This one hit home on several points. Drive on Drill Sergeant! Drive on! #AATW
Carla Williams Louder is not always better which is a statement she alone proved. Higher pitches are easy to hear among lower pitches. Assuming that she was the only women in the block, she should have balanced her voice with the rest of the men instead of singing cadence with a shrill, at times out of tune, and out of balance voice.
Carla Williams What statement did I not finish? You realize there is a "Read More" tab right? Regardless of the number of women what I have said holds firm. Also, I am not being sexist. I am just stating what is true.
The cadence can be modified. In AIT the whole formation would go "uuuuuuu" as the ds would say that part. Kind of like a hype. The training aspect of the Army is the best because although it sucks to deal with ds, you do learn a lot of cadences
You can hear the raw emotion in his voice. We've all been there, brother. Leaving family behind to go and do what needs doing is always rough. But, as the saying goes, a soldier fights not because he hates what's in front of him, but because he loves what's behind him.
I left my home - to join the army I left my home - to join the army The day I left - my mama cried She though that I - would surely die I left my wife - crying at the door She knew that I - would die at war I left my son - playing in the yard Seeing daddy leave - made him cry so hard The day I left - I shook my daddy’s hand He said that I - had become a man
My dad was an army veteran for iraq, now a soon to be lieutenant colonel and part of the jag corp, he told me that basic training was one of the most memorable times of his life. Best of luck to you brother.
I will never forget when my father woke me up at about 3 or 4 in the morning when I was 8 years old and kissed me goodbye as he left for his deployment. Crazy experience for me not knowing if I would ever see him again. He eventually retired from the Army after 22 years of service and now he's doing well.
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share some good news with you all. Let's just put it this way, the Ten Commandments are called the Moral Law. Ask yourself this. How many lies have you told? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever used God's name in vein? Have you ever hated someone or ever looked with lust? This is for you to judge yourself, but chances are that you are a lying, thieving, blasphemous, fornicating, adulterer at heart and you HAVE to face God on judgement day. Now ask yourself this. If God judges you on judgement day by these Commandments, will you be innocent or guilty? Of course you'll be guilty because we've all done these things. The truth is that none of us are good people and we NESD God's grace to make it to heaven. We judt simply cannot do it on our own. These Commandments arecalled the Moral Law. You and I broke the law, Jesus payed the fine. So now what we must do to be saved is to repent of our sins and trust alone in Jesus Christ! To repent doesn't mean to just say I'm sorry, but to turn from our sins and let Him truly be our Lord continually. He said that many will say to Him, Lord, Lord I have done all of these things for you. And He will say I never knew you. Depart from Me, ye who work iniquity! And those will be cast into outer darkness and raging hellfire and loneliness for all of eternity!!! Because we broke His law, He is very, very just to send us to hell. If someone had murdered 4 people and said to the judge, I've done nice things too and have tried to treat people nice but it was just one time, the judge would then say, okay but you're going to jail. And the judge is very just to do that. One last thing, if you were 10,000 feet in the air and you had to jump, you wouldn't jump out and flap your arms and try to save yourself. That's ridiculous! You would put on the parachute. It is the same with Jesus. You must trust Him as you trust the parachute. We are not good and we cannot save ourselves with our own goodness. We must trust alone in Him to save us. In just a moment of time you can pass from death to life. Jesus said, "Verily, verily I say unto you, you must be born again." That is how we enter heaven. Through the blood and grace of Jesus Christ!!!!✝️If you ask someone how to enter Heaven, they will most likely say, "Be a good person." Well the Bible says that none is good, no not one. We like to compare ourselves to guys like Hitler and say, "Hey, I'm a pretty good guy compared to him." But when we compare ourselves to God's standard, we realize that the Bible speaks truth when it says that we all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God!!! When we see this ( our sin in its TRUE light), we see how much trouble we are in and we say, "Well then there's nothing I can do. I'm going to hell for sure then." It's true that there is nothing that WE can do, but there is something that has already been done for you! God sent His One and Only Son to die on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins! So to recieve that eternal sweet sweet forgiveness, all we must do is repent of our sins (meaning to continually turn from them and confess them) and trust alone in Christ as you trust a parachute. If I was to push you out of an airplane, you'd want the parachute for sure! Don't try to flap your arms and save yourself, trust in the parachute! His finished work on the Cross IS ENOUGH!! He is the only way to Heaven, He said it Himself!! These other religions teach that we must he good and do good things and then maybe if we've been good enough, we will enter Heaven. But if that is true then we are all doomed to eternal hell because none of us are good. That's why this makes sense. Look at the Ten Commandments, they are written on your heart right now!! I promise that you have violated them. And you might still be doing that today.. Therefore God is just to poor out His wrath on us because we deserve it! But Christ died for us so that we can spend eternity in Heaven with Him!! Turn to Him today, and He and only He will save your soul!! "Verily, verily I say unto you, you must be born again ( to go to Heaven)."✝️
This guy is a drill sergeant, look at the way he's marching. He's a pro. He's been singing this cadence for more than 10 years I'd say, as a soldier in the ranks and then as a drill sergeant. And he's still choking back tears.
I loved calling cadence, and was adeptly good at it from the very beginning of my service. I still remember the day the drill pointed at me and said "448! Get in step and call cadence from left!". I didn't hesitate, fell out, took the left and busted out "V I C T O R Y". Shocked everyone because it was only day 5 and this private showed up to basic knowing about a dozen different cadences and no one was the wiser. Called cadence for the entirety of basic off and on, with the drills giving me new ones to remember. I must now know over 50 different cadences, and even in my after service veteran life find myself singing them fairly often. Really fun to sit around a bonfire with friends and have them repeat what I sing. They get to feel a small sense of the comradery that I felt when the platoon was all singing.
“I left my home” “I left my home” “for the arrmmy” that Army the first time he said it gave me chills from the pain in his voice. Wasn’t singing he was talking, talking to me it felt like.

Both my parents were in the army and I remember my dad leaving a lot when I was little, and every time he would leave to go on deployment, I removed the face my mom made. She seemed so heartbroken every time, and when he came back was my favourite thing in the world. We would be waiting and then he would walk to us and my whole family would run to him. After 23 years in the army, I still have him and I have never been more grateful.

He said that I- have become a man. There is nothing motivating singing about being dead, its more of we are in this shit together brotherhood. Yw
Not gonna lie. Bad ass cadence, kind of jealous.

You haven't served one SECOND in the Army! Yet, you know every single Army cadence ever called, right?Man...These kids now a days!
Thanks for sharing. That moved me.

They're well intentioned and brainwashed. They are doing the dirty work of evil people. Joining the army would be an honourable thing if it was genuinely about defense.
@@AZRAELIV like I said, the soldiers might be mostly well intentioned but they aren't helping countries change, they are actually stopping them from changing. Afghanistan was a disaster for example.

Sarge, I'm an old man who fought too many wars. My main regret is not to have a drill instructor like you
Hey everyone!

When even the drill sergeant is singing with his spirit, you know it's a moving cadence

@@tjliftz22 You ever notice that the LG sign can look like pacman. That is what I feel like. I can't enjoy this anymore she is the voice i hear.
I notice there’s one in almost every platoon/company singing cadence. I know when I went through boot there was one
You ever notice tht at 1:21 there's a taser goin off
This gives me chills because these people are willing to fight for us. God Bless America
This honestly motivates me
Joining the army this next month. Wish me luck boys
GL god bless.
Bad decision
Nah@@trisk4806
How's it going?
god bless america 🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My drill sergeant sang this cadence as we marched off the field at graduation and headed to the bus to take us to the airport. Will never forget that moment! 🇺🇸

This hits hard, the reality of it all. This mixes the reality of the situation and seriousness of being a unit. It should make us all thankful for those willing to put their life’s on the line, and thankful for the men raising up the next men and women.
white man has a soulful voice
Your right
Wait till you hear arab men, best vocals ever no cap 🧢
@Max Spies not a big deal homie
@Max Spies Damn, you're saltier than my grandmother's chicken soup.
@Six Paths Of Pain who did you listen too? Arab singing is a different style, its not bad, it doesn't have that party kind of tune, you probably listened to bad ones
6 Years Ago and I still love this song. Truly a masterpiece
He has such a great voice🥺
Im actually korean airforce this song made me cry so hard. This song so impressive ever I heard
Respect brother. The pain of war is felt by every culture
Hail to the ROK Army. Miss serving with you guys.
Man, I'm British and nowhere near a soldier, but this makes me wanna join the US army. This alone is an incredibly powerful recruiting tool.
The cadence is crazy alot of motivation!!
Go join the British Army mate. Or the Royal Marines!
You can join the US Army as a foreign citizen. You can also be fast-tracked to US citizenship by serving in the US military as well.
C'mon over! We need a little lime!
I was so good at leading this cadence back in the day its some of my most fond memories. Just absolutely loved it, everyone got into it, by far the best cadence in my army tenure
The Drill Sergeant walks with such purpose
This DS needs a promotion...NOW!!
The Dark Beret 😂
It is DI
Landon Steffensen That’s the Marines. This group is Army, I recognize the building layout in the video to be Ft. Benning, and Army is Drill Sergeant.
Landon Steffensen no it’s not lmao
@@landonsteffensen8255 its drill sergeant, different uniforms, different branch
I cant stop watching this cadence.. it's all true, this mama cried lol
I'm not crying, you are. Got emotional. 8 years of service. I'd do it all over again.
I hope I get this drill Sgt when I am in basic
not12u hell yeah no other cadence callers like the one at Benning
Nicolas Astorga this was honestly my drill sergeant. alpha 1/61. he was cool. Lot of static when the infantry drill sergeant came to our platoon 😂😂
Dario Monsta DS Depalo is at ft Jackson so you won't get him. It's better if you go to Ft Benning, you'll find out that's the only "real" base to go to basic
I just left basic went to ft Leonard Wood. I had one infantry DS He had the best cadences
Nicolas Astorga what's your mos I leave in less than 10 days to fort Leonard Wood
That kind of chat boosts my fighting spirit during my training for military here in Philippines. This chants boosts your morale that gives you strenght to finish the training!
When you're born with the heart of blues man... Touching stuff.
From Russia with respect.
Best cadence EVER! Dear, Lord, I miss those days! Not something I ever thought I would ever say!
Gives me chills every time... to all of the vets and active duty servicemen and service women who read this, THANK YOU and God bless!!
I’ve been out 9 years and this cadence still
Gets me RIP my boy Corpuz and my boy Loredo
I am not American but Dutch, but this looks very impressive. Allies forever right?🇳🇱🤝🇺🇸
Forever. 🇺🇲🤝🇳🇱

Forever and ever (in little kid voice )
I love Army Cadence! It reminds me of the Time i did my Service in the Swiss Military. Always an amazing feeling Chanting with my Bro's while marching in the Hills.
I saw through the tiktok and cried a lot... Strong men and women. Thank you for your service!
This drill sergeant grooving more than many modern artists, so much Soul and Blues in the voice. ❤️🔥❤️
I will march to anyplace along this guy
I love how they are supposed to be so serious but they can really sing
th-cam.com/video/w0_f5dtSR48a/w-d-xo.htmlrmy song
I was a professional boxer but I can tell I wouldn't mess with the sergeant. Definitely looks he can defend himself.
