I’ve been doing this for a few months. It doesn’t stop them from spraying but it does a really good job of masking their scent. Clean wherever they sprayed first. Works on walls carpet and woodwork. I have 9 cats so if I say it works for covering sent, it works.

I use curry powder straight on the ground. Works a treat.
I had a small space where the cat went so lined it with plastic bin liners and kept it really lovely and WET , they didn't like it yay cat gone flowers growing

This doesn't work. Citrus essential oils like lemon grass work for 24 hours if you can afford to buy that expensive stuff. I'm fed up with this cat plague.

@@mmendoza1313able Bought lemongrass, citrus essential oils...for cork trees... didn't work. Thus far nothing works... just a cat trap and animal protection don't take cats away, let them go around the corner. I feel a shotgun is the only solution.

I've used thootpicks and cover the area with boards. Works like a charm Oh ya vinager works and mint plants.

This concoction would never work with the tomcats in my neighbour, seriously they are like some sort of devil cats from a Stephen King's book, they would snatch away that bottle of spray if they caught you using it. My elderly next door neighbour is so petrified of them she actually phoned the local priest. We just leave them be.
I think these cats are planning something big, I called my local priest he refused to come.

I was so pissed off when my neighbours cat used my front garden as a litter box. I stand guard with a big broom stick and scared their life away. I haven’t seen them for a week. But they come back again. Called my neighbour and told them if they dont do anything of their cat, I’ll use their backyard as my toilet as well.
I’ve never seen my neighbour after that call.

till now the best repelant for me is fragnance oil, its cheap and you can choose any fragnance you want and will 100% keep cats away, ive tried it on several cats and as soon the smell goes into their brain they back up quickly, i use a biiig mix of fragnance oils and they come cheap and i only spray some few time and gone is those little bastards plus a fresh smell is all over the garden
Essential oils can be deadly for cats, I wouldn't advise anyone using essential oils.

So I heard that a stray cat keeps pooping on the soil of my hooman's pots and plant boxes. Will this spray kill her plants if she sprays this on those plants/soil?

Probably not. Because it's organic and 100% safe for plants. (WITHOUT THE DISH SOAP)

Didn't work on the feral cat or neighbor cat. They are in a pissing contest with each other on a bush on one side of my garage door. They also love to spray the door. I've tried all sorts of things. People who let their cats roam and people who feed feral cats are the problem. Maybe I need to spray these people.

Nothing works!! My neighborhood has a feral cat problem! I tried calling the local shelter, my local animal control department and my district alderman, and nobody wants to help! I just spent $3000 to install new sod on my property and 5 months later, my lawns is disgusting!! Bare spots everywhere of all the cat poop and urine! My kids can’t even go outside to play. I have to go outside at least 2 times a day to clean up after those damn cats! I started using chemical repellent, it works but I have to spend like $60 bucks every two weeks, because if I stop using it, the cats return. I really don’t want to cause them harm, but I’m really running out of options here! Any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem without resorting to violence?!?!

I hope this works because I have plants for hummingbirds and food for birds in my garden. Along with my vegetables, and fruit. Hummingbirds help me with some of the pest I get. I have dogs that kind of help, but during the night they are asleep. So I need to try a natural way to get rid of them without disturbing my dogs or birds😧.

Only two thing really work for keeping cats away. One is chilli powder. Just water it down so it's painful and not dangerous. They will get it on them once and then never come back!
The other is one of those motion triggered sprinklers to give them a soaking.
If you keep putting citrus on the garden it will kill plants after a while.
but oranges can damage cat eyes, one time when i was peeling orange it juice of it came into my eyes it was a bit painfull ,not much,lol!
Yep, chemical deterrents aren't as effective as spraying a cat with strong blast of water. I bought the "Scarecrow" motion activated sprinkler in the early 00's and after about a week, never had cat problems again. I still have the sprinkler and I'm just waiting for another opportunity to use it.
Cats, as "thinkers" can learn a new route in just 24 hrs. I used my motion activated water sprayer to guard one part of my lawn, and the next night they circumvent the spray by traveling over the other part. I just bought two motion activated sound-emitting deterrents, to work with my water sprayer. Hopefully both working together, will cause the strays to keep on moving. The chemical concoction of lemon juice in vinegar is also used, and it works. After spraying a ring around several ornamental grasses, I observed a stray stretched out in a frozen stance, it's nose sniffing the air. This is in contrast to their usual self-assured walk through my garden.

A momma cat gave birth to 4 kittens in my room today. I love cats but this is getting really hard for me to manage. The momma is hissing and is super mad rn. Any ideas that can help me to get rid of them. I do have some space for them and I can keep them there with no worries. However, letting them stay in my room is not feasible!

I wouldn't spray directly on the car. Maybe find a way to place some orange peel around the hood, or on a piece of cardboard, most cats don't like the smell of fresh orange peel.

Great idea with the orange and lemon but I don't want to use the detergent could harm the cat, I just want to deter, the best option is 1 TSP of rosemary leaves, boil and seep for 5 minutes they dislike the smell also undiluted vinegar is another good option.

It depends on how often and how much you spray with each use. It smells of orange so no, your furniture or carpet won't smell bad. Just make sure you spray lightly or the carpet will have a hard time drying.

I would add citrus peels to the pots instead of this. I've been testing another method in the past week, you might wanna give it a try yourself: coffee grounds sprinkled in the pots, close to the rim. I think it's working but won't be sure for at least one more week.

use double sided tape on furniture. They hate the sticky feel and buy them a scratch board. Cats have a urge to always scratch on almost anything.
You can buy claw caps. They are caps that go over their claws.

Glad you found a solution. Cats don't eat plants lol, but many like to pee or poop around or on plants. The one I have now loves using the mulch in my garden as her litter box, I need to spray the whole garden periodically.
My Smokie eat my aloe and caused damage to the tips lol... Had to put them in my room bc they can't handle the cold. Smokie just weird tho lol... I'm not sure about the cats outside bc there are 4 of them and I try to let my plants get sun on warmer days. They have been around them and it made me nervous. But the spray worked and they quit going around them

Most dogs hate the citrus smell. Mine doesn't though. So you'll have to experience, see if yours is bothered or not.
I'm dealing with some evil cats my self they are now chasing my cat to his little door good thing I decided to put one in. But these cats come at night and climb all over my house making all kinds of noise like calling my cat out there. They jump into my yard to attack him while I'm back their. I'm not afraid of them but my poor kitty always on his guard and now he doesn't want to go out his little door cuz they wait for him out there. I don't know how to handle this without breaking the law. Seriously these cats are out to get my cat.

It's not sticky and the smell is not strong to humans. It goes away after a while, that's why you need to spray often in order for this repellent to work.

Personally, I didn't have this problem but I understand your concern as ants are attracted to sweet stuff. I would sprinkle some baking soda around the area to keep ants away
My cat likes very strong smelling things like vinegar & detergent, doubt this'll work either.
We used clorex as it has a strong smell and mopled the flour with clorex diluted water... They loved it.... Kept on rolling on the floor sniffing like a woman sniffing an expensive perfume!!

Cats are very complex creatures and much like humans, they are very different. Some will be affected by the smell of this mixture, some won't care a bit. That's what my cats do. But with a bit of perseverance, I managed to make the stubborn one to understand what areas are off limits for her.

@@EasyPeasyCreativeIdeas by accident I found something that worked. I rubbed citrus essential oils into the tiles every few days and so far so good! Terracotta tiles are not glazed so they are still porous. You actually care for them by applying oil regularly, so it's good for the tiles too. Thought it would share. I tried the orange Lemmon mix and it's effective if I spray it every few days in trouble spots. Thanks very much for your videos.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip, Angela! I also found an additional way to keep cats from urinating in my garden: coffee grounds. As I'm a big coffee lover, I have plenty coffee grounds and place them in my garden daily.

Can I spray that on my cat so other cats will stay away from him bc he's got into some fights with other cats and he's an outside cat.
There are so many reasons I wouldn't spray anything on cats. They lick themselves all the time and he'll be ingesting the ingredients. Plus if he's used to go hunting for rodents and stuff, this will alter his senses and he might not be able to smell the rodents. Also he uses his nose to smell his "enemies" and any other smell might interfere with his senses. Not to mention that he'll live in constant stress because cats usually hate the smell of this spray, imagine him having to live with it 24/7. What you need is a pheromone collar, he most likely gets into fights with male cats because of their hormones. Or just spay him.

Citrus oils are poisonous to cats if ingested and can kill it. Cats are hyper sensitive to many essential oils so please do your research before using them or any med's. Even the safer ones have to be very diluted. Especially if you want to put them directly on them where they can lick it off. Do not put citrus on a cat ever! Do you and your pet a favor and ask your Vet or try goggle first before experimenting with new things! Many things safe for people or even dogs will kill a cat! If you just spray these oils it on stuff they will avoid it themselves. Probably why this spay would work as a repellent as the cat knows it's poison to it. If you want your cat to stop fighting get him fixed! Usually the local humane society can help with cost. I got my boys fixed and they only play fright with each other now. The younger they are the better and will help stop and prevent them spraying in and around the house as well.
