You are 100% right, there are SOME lazy bad cash grabs that should NOT be supported. So don't pre-order and only support the good re-releases/remakes. But many are good re-releases/remasters/remakes. So I don't understand your argument 1) Lots of old games are still great today, old does not mean shit 2) Old games can be superior to modern games Skyrim is better than Starfield. Far Cry 3 is better than Far Cry 6. Saints Row 2,3 and 4 better than the reboot. 3) Why is it wrong to replay a game you already played. You have replayed Battlefront 2 for 3000 hours. Why don't you understand people wanting to replay a 20-30 hour game? 4) Some games don't get lots of copy-cat games. So you don't have a lot of new games that scratch the same itch as those older classics. Meaning your only option is to replay the classics. There is way less risks, humour and originality in AAA games now. 5) Some remakes like resident evil & final fantasy remakes change things up a bit to keep the games fresh for previous fans. So they really put work into the remake. Dead Space remake polished up the rough edges of the original and added some dropped content. Mass Effect remake made the 3 games more consistent. 6) It's natural to want to experience a new better version of something you have already really enjoyed. If you had a favourite movie on VHS would you NOT buy and watch the blu ray version because you had already seen the VHS copy? Do you also think it's crazy for people who have seen a VHS movie to buy and watch a blu ray version? Are all old movies shit and worse than modern movies?
