- A glimpse at David Sylvian's polaroid exhibition back in the summer of 1984 just as his solo career was launching with the release of his first solo album Brilliant Trees.
Soundtrack is a vocal-less version of Brilliant Trees (Ai assisted)
Renaud - Your Sylvian posts here are always things of immeasurable beauty. Thank you.
Thank you
Lovely presentation, thanks for posting! 💙
Love this - brings back so many memories. Also love the sound track!
When art was music was art and genres were broken by brave boys. Love the instrumental isolation. Thank you for this lovely video of the exhibition.
First time I hear this in the Instrumental Version.
Really cool, cos you can follow the keyboard overdubs and Jon Hassell much better.
.
Thanks for this 🙂
Thumbs up
Nice to see him and Mick on good terms.
❤
Beautiful celebration! It's great to see all the photographs in one place.
It's only a very small sample, mainly what was published in the book. I don't think I've ever seen all the montages that were exhibited; and the part that was dedicated to Yuka Fujii's photos (mainly portraits of David) has never been really mentioned nor published anywhere. I assume some of these ended up in her book published a few years ago...
@@renaud_c_hshe did published some of those pictures on her twitter account and David seemed to be very fond about them
@@Thedirtinyoureye indeed but it is a shame that Yuka's part of the exhibition from 84 was never covered.
Beautiful David.
Brilliant.
Wish I could of gone, couldn't buy the book until around 2010 LOL
what is this ?
