  • Preparations For A Journey is a short documentary that accompanied the short film "Steel Cathedrals" on the Japanese only laser disc. The documentary follows David's brief work with Polaroid montages, which lead to his book "Perspectives" and an exhibition at Hamiltons gallery in London.

    Sylvian discovers existentialism, walks through a forest and looks magnificent and moody. That'll do me thank you very much. 10 minutes of aching nostalgia that brings peace to a troubled mind

    Even got my Prespectives book signed by David Himself, took it up to Nomis in gosfield street ,london, even sent me some ltd edition postcard back in 1986

    This should have been released on dvd years ago, as well as David's other video work. I don't understand why record companies (or whoever owns the licenseing rights) to all of this great stuff just will not put it out on dvd. They are robbing us of so much great stuff.

    Some of it was released on the Alchemy EP.
    Sadly, the rest of the sound track was never officially released...

    A DS DVD (OFFICIAL) is long overdue. Dare I suggest a few songs past & present, an interview in a few parts. DAVID KNOWS BETTER THAN ME
