Always interesting to hear a different version of any great music. The voice is more mature, quite beautiful still, but I think lacks some of the fragility of the original. Such a moving song and the playing is just gorgeous. Kenny Wheeler was so brilliant.
Kenny Wheeler does not, in fact, play on this track: it's Jon Hassell on trumpet. But he does contribute some lovely flugelhorn to ''The Ink In The Well'' and ''Nostalgia'' on this album, plus several later David Sylvian releases. 🙂
David Sylvian es un músico excepcional...siempre acompañado por grandes instrumentistas a lo largo de su extensa carrera cómo Sakamoto,Fripp,Czukay por nombrar algunos.
I’ve been listening to this wonderful amazing song from David more than two weeks now and the video you made for this amazing music is great! You did an amazing, wonderful fantastic job Renaud! ❤️
love this idea of re-creating stuff, especially if u got issues with labels.. just re-create your track, switch a bit shit for better version :P trust me
65 years old still smashed by this song !
Man... He is David Sylvian, are other word needed?....
“…There you stand, making my life possible…”. some of the most powerful words ever sung by David.
I went to the last concert of Japan at Hammersmith, lost touch with them, this is just gorgeous.
Time stops when David sings.
He gets better every year
I miss new music, love his voice!
It stills haunting me after all these years even more hearing at John Hassel's trumpet.Thank GOD for all these GOODS happened in my humble life.
David's voice is like pure silk

I do believe Björk took some pointers from David Sylvian.
