Not gonna happen. It's no mistake that the pattern is everyone wants to stream back on Twitch. If Destiny and Doc could, they'd go back. The culture and clout is just that much better to capitalize on regardless of what you think of Twitch as a corporation.
The constant unskippable ads on Twitch are quite a deterrent. Additionally, TH-cam Premium stops ads from all channels, but subbing on Twitch only prevents ads from 1 specific channel.
Yeah this is wild to me, when I start subscribing to a service the least I expect is an add-free experience. It's why I'm using add-blockers, if I can't even pay for a decent experience then no thnx.
yeah i wouldn’t sub to anyone on twitch if you watch more than two people regularly since twitch premium is also ad free but with all the youtube premium price increases they’re making that a lot more competitive than it needs to be
I might be in the "old" category (33) but I cant remember the last time I watched a stream. Im a youtube enjoyer now. A new 1 hour Asmon video will be watched over time. 5-15 min here and there. Love it.
Theres 2 killing points on twitch streaming that makes me prefer youtube 1: you can get up to 10 or so ads on twitch if a streamer has absolutely no care for their viewers and just wants ads 2: twitch has a weird thing where every so often it resets the streamers set quality to their stream to 1080p60fps which a lot of us including me cannot even load the stream from so you just hope the streamer realizes it and adds the lower quality options
Often the streamer has no choice, Twitch will literally auto-play like 3 ads in a row on opening stream without telling you if you have them enabled at all
The fact that you can't rewind during a live stream on twitch while non-stream focused youtube allows this just amazes me. Like, your main focus is literally live streaming and youtube has a better functionality to watching it than you, wtf. And that on top of incredibly bad UI for reaching the vods, it's actually impressive how incompetent they are in regards to these after so many years doing this.
Nobody watches Twitch VODs because you have to be an olympic gymnast to navigate the UI to get to VODs. In TH-cam you can have the playlist to your VODs in the about section and that's 2 whole clicks for the viewer.
I would agree to a point. I do think some people from twitch would move to TH-cam due to it being a better viewing experience, but I only watch clips and vods posted on TH-cam, so I am an example of a new viewer he could gain by streaming on TH-cam at the same time.
However I think most of people who are watching multi stream from TH-cam are the people who ain't going to Twitch to watch you. If they could stand Twitch, they would have been in it already
1:40 you're (wrongly) assuming that if you dont stream on TH-cam then people will watch on twitch. I dont watch twitch at all. If my favorite streamer is only streaming on twitch then i won't watch them.
He's too twitch brained and probably doesn't understand the inherit disdain people have for the platform. A few streamers I use to watch, moved to twitch, and I don't watch them anymore. Some streamers swap between yt and twitch and I won't watch the twitch ones. Asmon may not admit it, maybe even deny it, but he's brand loyal lol
He didn't say everyone would follow you to the other platform if you only streamed in one, he just said that you'd have more viewers in a platform if you only streamed in that platform that you'd have if you'd stream in more than one. However you'd have more overall viewers if you streamed in more platforms since not everyone is willing to use a different app
He says that if you start streaming on multiple platforms part of your twitch viewers will go to youtube. Meaning you will have less viewers on twitch and not appear in top anymore. It will lead to you gaining less new viewers. I don't know how important it is to stay on top but looks like to him it's more important than total viewership when it comes to live streaming.
@@ZelestiosTrue, but what percentage of people that would have been in Twitch if not for multi streaming? I suspect it would be far below 50%, if they could withstand Twitch they would have been there already. So considering that multi streaming could potentially bring multiple times of bucks compared to just streaming at twitch that difference of Twitch viewers is just negligible. Stricter DMCA or lack of features (e.g Stream Music) are the only valid reasons to not do that.
It is because they give up really easily, they think they can produce average quality content for a month and then become rich, this guy asmongold literally had to sell his soul to be where he's at right now, literally did everything for more than a decade in videos to become popular and rich.
Yeah theres this big point, is that youtube often brings you up videos from years and years ago. While twitch is all on the moment, when the live stream is off, you completely disappear. I found content creators watching videos of them from 7 years ago.
I personally prefer youtube because i have premium, so no ads ever and i have the option to download vids for later viewing when I'm at work where my cell reception is shitty. I enjoy livestreams, especially the ones where content creators will actually respond to my message and questions and i wont just be lost in a sea of comments. But youtube is just so much better for me.
Because ppl do. People like watching stuff live for whatever reason Asmon is direct proof of that with his Twitch getting tons of views when he uploads everything anyway.
7:26 not to be a second comment kinda guy. If you're a smaller creator and you have your ads turned all the way up, people will not stay. Who wants to watch 8 pre roll ads?
it’s very obvious to me that if twitch hasn’t lost viewership from the spike of ads since the removal of exclusive deals (no more exclusive deals mean less money for streamers which means they run more ads) they have at the very least put a massive deterrent on NEW viewers joining the site.
I can tell you that i leave youtube running on auto play before going to sleep. When i woke up, my youtube is of Moist’s vod playing starfield. It could be a contribution why his vods got many viewers
If Asmon streamed on TH-cam his numbers would be absolutely massive. Also he forgets that if you multistream you multiply the chance to get noticed on all those other platforms other then Twitch.
He literally started the video explaining he understand that overall its a larger number, you're failing to understand that one big number is more marketable than 2 medium numbers. Concurrent and peak viewership are statistics you can use for sponsor negotiations etc.
His counter-point to that line of thought is rather valid (that is, he didn't just "forget it"); Twitch does go with a snowball effect so every channel viewer that isn't actively there tangibly slows the growth on Twitch. Now, that part primarily affects channels that are growing/trying to grow, not well established ones, but the point stands.
@@sorenlampe951 THIS... THIS is a real concern, I am sure. He should stick to his current format and only release videos on YT. He'd have lost his YT channel FOREVER over what got him "suspended" from Twitch.
It's not that simple. It's like uploading to TH-cam and Rumble. It dilluted your audience, and leads to lower total ad revenue. It's financially better to stick to the one platform that makes you the most money sadly.
8:20 there is one giant gaping hole in this argument that no one ever seems to consider, which I presume is because they’ve either never been poor or they’ve been well off for too long to remember what being poor was like. A little over a year ago, I had a medical emergency which caused me to lose my job and my car. As I’m sure you can imagine, it’s extremely difficult to buy a car without money, and even more difficult to get a job without a car (in Texas). So, for the last year, I literally could not afford a $4 subscription to anything, but I was fine with watching ads… Until the recent, massive, uptick in ad placement on both Twitch and TH-cam. I primarily only watch GTA role-play on twitch, and when you get 16 ads in a row, right in the middle of a dramatic scene… You end up losing too much context as to what’s going on, and by the time you get caught up, you’re getting hit with 16 more ads. As much as I dislike the idea of content creators not getting paid for their work… twitch and TH-cam have made it impossible to enjoy any content on their website due to the “Trojan horse virus from 2004” level of ads, they pump out now. Which brings me to my primary point, that everyone is overlooking. I quickly discovered that if I rooted my android devices, downloaded a side loader for my Nvidia shield, along with a side loader for my iPhone… I was then able to install “Sm@rt_Tub3” and “Twire” which are the two most effective ad blockers available for both websites. Both TH-cam and twitch continue claiming that they are winning the battle against ad blockers, and even a lot of content creators have been claiming that their new anti-ad blocking software is incredibly effective… Yet I watch TH-cam and twitch for 6 to 12 hours a day, and I haven’t seen a single ad, nor had any interruption of service ever since discovering those two sideloaded apps. As a matter of fact, both pieces of software have the ability to “hack” and prioritize, high definition content, which allows you to get the maximum quality available on the entire website, which is something that their native apps can’t do even if you have TH-cam premium or twitch turbo. Have you ever watched a twitch stream on your phone and was actually able to view it in true 2K or 4K? The answer is no, because it’s not possible on twitch’s official app. In fact, the “1080p” that they claim you’re getting isn’t even really 1080, it’s more like 640 scaled up to 1080, but because most people only watch twitch on their phone… most people never notice. So now we have apps that are 100% effective at not only blocking sponsored ads, but ST actually has AI integration which detects and auto-skips “self promotion“, which means… If you’re selling merch? I would never know that you were, because as soon as ST detects that you’re doing anything other than talking about the video I clicked on? It auto skips that shit. The reason this is such a huge oversight in regards to your opinion, based on analytics… Is that these are analytics you will never see. On your side of things, I will appear as if I am watching the entire video and all of the ads in it… You just won’t get paid for those ads, and those handful of pennies won’t be noticeable on your overall ad revenue balance. As I’m sure you are well aware of, people don’t like to be bullied into spending money, especially my a service they’ve been using for years without having to. Eventually, apps like this will be just as common place as browser based ad blockers are now, and there will be so many of them that these platforms will never be able to keep up with all of them. … And not to be too cliché, but once you’ve crossed over to the “dark side”, why would you ever go back? Not only are they the most effective ad blocking apps in existence, but they actually have premium features that you can’t even pay to get from either of those platforms. The quality of service is 2 to 3 times higher than a premium membership on either website, and it literally cost nothing. Now, you might have a small team of weirdos collecting your data, but is that actually worse than thousands of people who work for a multi billion dollar company having that same level of access? I mean, I haven’t noticed any negative side effects to whatever data they are collecting. I don’t get more spam calls, I don’t get more spam email. All of those things have been at the same average rate they always have. Meaning it might actually be more secure to use an app from a small company with fewer employees monitoring your data. So I will reiterate, one more time… You get true bit rates, at true resolution without any lies or bullshit attached… Something that’s impossible on both platforms with their official apps, you not only get regular ad blocking, but it auto skips “built in“ ads that creators themselves insert in their own videos, and gives you full control over the video and audio formats being utilized for the videos you’re watching, all for the low price of zero dollars. Why would anyone uninstall those apps and go back to paying $10-$20 a month for a service that’s completely incompetent in comparison? The answer is: no one will, but it will be too late for content creators by then. Not only will you not be getting ad revenue, but you also won’t be making any sales on your merch website, and when content rippers get a hold of your streams, their uploads will be in higher quality than yours because they have access to the original raw video file. Something that twitch doesn’t even offer to its partners. I love Asmond, not because we agree on everything… But because I feel like he’s the type of person that I could disagree with in real life, and that be totally OK with both of us. I just hope he takes the time to read this, because I think he’s going to agree with me that his previous take on the subject was really an L once all of these other concerns become obvious to him.
On one hand, I do think it's expected that people will ignore your comment if it gets too long. On the other hand, at least you formatted the text to make it easier to read instead of leaving it as one solid chunk of text. Plus you're giving people a way to watch without ads.
@@baguetto563 Obviously, at least 12 people read it, or they wouldn't have liked it. You act like I'm the only person on the planet that types in paragraphs. If my comment was too much information for you to process, then (in Asmond's own words) ignore it and keep scrolling. This comment is for someone, but it isn't for you, and that's fine. Your sentiment might hold water in other situations, but here on TH-cam, a comment reply is worth more than a like, meaning that every person who feels the need to hate, is actually just making my comment more relevant and more people are seeing it, because of said interactions. That's why I keep clapping back, because my reply tickles the algorithm even more by making it seems as though we're all just having one big happy discussion.
You may not see the evidence from the creators side, but I assure you the "personal anecdote" from the audience is a common theme: High ad density does push people away, especially when the ads themselves are intrusive (a.k.a. targeted), loud, and annoying. Everyone has a limit to how many ads they will tolerate in order to 'support' a creator they enjoy watching.
Asmon doesn't want to also stream on TH-cam because he covers a lot of controversial topics... BUT he covers those topics by reacting to TH-cam videos. So... what's the issue there?
Yes and no. What I noticed from asmon is, he starts the stream talking about topics on twitter, reddit or any other source of information. Usually those topics are the most heated and controversial. But the most funny and entertaining. Usually he won’t upload those as much. In fact, the comment he said about the whole palestine thing came out because he called out some of the hypocrites on twitter.
TH-cam videos are edited before uploaded. They can cut out the bad stuff to avoid getting red-flagged. He still uploads videos about controversial topics, but the videos are curated to make sure nothing that could result in a ban goes through.
@@CrackCocaKolainewell it is good with those 2 things, but even without them, it's nice having something to watch when you want to watch it. you don't have to tune in to a TH-cam video at a certain time and risk missing it
25:34 "I'm not special, I got lucky" This, exactly this. Not a single streamer is special, the successful ones are only lucky enough to have gained an audience, now what you do with that luck do matters a lot of course, but it's always luck the biggest factor to gain viewers (that includes Asmon or any other big streamer). It's good to see when they accept that and keep it humble, anyone who tells you "streaming is a hard job" is delusional lol
Asmon stopping the video to go on a hypothetical diatribe as though it's the ultimate truth while never actually having experienced what he's talking about will never get old
This, being distracted and missing something then being able to go back and watch the stream in 1.5 or 2x speed till youre caught up cant be understated.

TH-cam ads are 100x less obstructive as twitch ads. You only gotta watch 10 seconds and then u can skip it. Sometimes they throw in those 20+ minute ads in case you aint really watching but that pays for the people who choose to skip. IMO that's a way better deal for the consumer than twitch who throws 8+ 30 sec ads at you that are unskippable.
only reason to watch live is interaction with creator. I do it sometimes when creator disagrees with my opinion to fight him but other than that, vods are the way to go.
Twitch has the worst mobile UI experience i have ever experienced... Literally opened the app one time and i felt a shiver creeping down my spine for how garbage it is. Not to mention that a minimum of 4 ads when opening a stream+ multiple ads along every couple of minutes is such a turn off for a viewer experience. Not to mention the slow af loading times twitch has compared to youtube
Once there was no way to block Twitch ads, I left that platform. I hate ads and if I cannot block them then I will avoid whatever platform pushes them.
3:18 as a content creator, I've witnessed the amount of ads go up from 4 to 8 at other channels im not subbed to. I definitely am not getting twice the ad revenue.
Yeah 8-10 un-skippable ads is diabolical. I'm not even watching a streamer anymore, I'm watching companies. Some of the ads even go up to a minute long
For some countries twitch has an issue of account verification, and also the time difference for other parts of the world is huge, so while you are streaming on twitch, viewers in that part of the world are sleeping, so they can catch up with uploaded videos on TH-cam, so your strategy definitely works.
Asmongold gave myth as an example like moist was saying solely stream on TH-cam. Seems like asmongold is biased about twitch for some reason, why wouldnt people want to multi stream? They would be stupid not to.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he or OTK had a Twitch streaming contract. Like he didn't stream in another platform when he was banned for example.
That's a crazy amount of difference between Twitch and TH-cam for the same videos. TH-cam gives a HUGE amount for vods that get a lot of watch time due to the ads. I can say this though, I'm happy for Charlie, he deserves it, and so does Asmon as far as that goes.
The ads are a big reason I don't use twitch and I get youtube premium free with my phone plan so no ads on youtube for me. I also constantly find new smaller channels on youtube.
Smart strategy. I multi stream to Kick, X and YT. Biggest numbers come from X most revenue comes from YT (especially VOD which has been pretty good for me) and Kick is more of a pipe dream. Discovery sucks but I don’t know it would be better on Twitch. Anyway I very much loved this video breaking down the numbers
See the nice thing about TH-cam is there's only so many ads to go around so you keep turning on and turning off video eventually you get to the point where they no longer have ads figured that one out like 4 years ago
I tried to get into watching twitch a couple of years ago and it was just an annoying waste of time with the ads. I stayed on there long enough for some overwatch player to go on a massive tirade shaming me about mental health because I said "damn, that crosshair is kinda triggering me" when he was using a crosshair that was the size of his whole screen.
I've spent most of my time watching twitch during covid and after a while. Nowadays it's just youtube. I don't enjoy twitch as a service anymore (ads, decisions, management etc.)
Ads on twitch are the reason I never go on there, if I find TH-cam videos of a streamer I like I subscribe so i can watch them live and go past ads. Bc that shit is annoying asf
i just realised, if critical is making that much by streaming cross platform, imagine how much speed is making by streaming multiple times a week on just youtube and averaging 100k live viewers and overl 3 mil in views on his VODS. like hes gotta be making at least nearly half a million a week
Theres no way asmon thinks people watch Twitch after they see +8 ads within 20 seconds of joining a stream..... Those are the bots that afk in the channel that stay. Bad take, but what's new at this point. He is just gonna defend it because it's his job. Don't blame him. it's just annoying at this point.
Yeah kind of wild he said "yea ermmm nobody even leaves streams when ads come on" yeah guy, a majority of people do.. only people who stay, like you said are bots or people with paid subscription, who don't see ads. Pure copium
Huh. Guess you never watched TV? You don't pay for cable or some subscription to a streaming service like Netflix? You just don't consume media outside of a vod? You only consume vod sports? Doubtful. You literally are lying to yourself right now and questioning why people pay for certain things is just dumb and shortsighted.
@sammg95 the "I have never watched a live stream in my life" was the main point. TV, such as daily news is live streamed. Sports games are live streamed. We can play semantics if you want. If you live in the USA, you've given 'bits' before in real life. It's called tipping culture.
@ yeah mate not everyone one is from the US. And even I understand that’s it’s practically forced tips. Meanwhile nobody is even slightly making you donate, tip give bits whatever you want to call it.
While its not my cup of tea i can understand watching livestreams, there is a lot of lonely people out there. And that of course extends to tips etc, especially with streamers that acknowledge them it makes people feel wanted even if its all a parasocial lie.
The only reason you and Moist are where you are is because the time was put in and you can tell. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and you boys been hauling ass for years. I’m happy for people that work hard. It makes me work harder.
I started Dual streaming two months ago, maybe even one month ago. I've streamed on TH-cam for 4 years, I genuinely think I'd be much more successful had I started doing Twitch and YT sooner. There's also a clear pipeline from shorts, to videos, to livestreams that I've only recently figured out. So any fellow small streamers out there, figure out dual streaming (don't use ReStream tho, it's a trash program too many people try using when OBS with multi-rtmp plug-in is much better, only downside is the initial setup takes longer), then experiment with videos and shorts made from your streams. Do shorts first, that'll inform you on what your videos should be about.
I think Asmon undermines the fact how many TH-cam only viewers he has so I think it wouldn't cannibalize his views in anyway, infact it would only bring his numbers up in general. He has already established viewerbases on both platforms and I doubt Twitch watchers would switch to TH-cam cuz there wouldn't be any incentive to do that and vice versa.
Its absurd how much some content creators can make, like truly absurd. I make good money, about $220k a year, but i work almost 80hr weeks of back breaking work. Im not a hater, but i am envious of their ability to make that kinda bread reacting to stuff on the internet. I know theres no barrier to entry, we can all do it, but only a small minority can throw up football number M's
I think that there should be a monthly cap on revenue. The issue with the scaling of revenue is that a lot of streamers and youtubers don't care about promoting scams, dumping out echo chamber content, push ads, use AI to push more vids out, arras people for views, farm controversy, etc.. .. Social media was a better place before people sitting on a chair and looking at a cam could become millionairs at such a pace that they have no idea how to behave as someone with so much money and wanting to create more and faster and sometimes scamier ... Viewers are not viewers anymore, they are wallets.
Every comment that isn't talking about how disgusting it is that ANYONE can make $80,000 in 4 hours( doing anything) is a part of the problem. Stop glorifying this crap. Streamers do not deserve what they make on the high end. Period. And it needs to change
I don't care so much that a streamer is making that much money. I care that the company advertising is probably spending that much on marketing whilst simultaneously not paying their employees enough or giving them the resources they need to work.
Why does it need to change? It's not hurting anyone is it? Streaming platforms make money off ads. Streamers get a cut of those ads because they bring in the viewers who view those ads. Now, if you dislike the ads, that is a different story. Here, it just sounds like you're jealous of the amount of money they make. Without a shadow of a doubt if you were in their position you wouldn't be complaining.
On top of that a lot of streamers still have the audacity to complain about their pay😂 like hey guy people are paying you to watch you play a video game. Zero self awareness
I gave up my favorite streamer because he moved to Twitch and i couldnt stand all the ads. At least with YT i could go premium and never get another ad. Twitch has no way around them.
You are wrong about your twitch discovery argument, I haven't opened twitch ever since they pushed unskippable long af ads, and I think many people are like me.
True be told, ublock and adblock is what making those streamers money, if people didn't have access to those they won't watch any streams at all, nobody wants to watch adds.
Kai cenat was spamming ads more than I’ve ever seen any stream do period, he did that for 30 days 24/7 for a month with a minimum of 50k viewers at night and 100k-400k viewers in the day, now add 700k subscribers and the big brand named sponsors to all that add revenue… bro made beyond generation wealth in a single month.
I'm just gonna say this. Dude made more money than I did in 1 year, in a single 4hr stream of Starfield and I don't think I've ever been as sick as I am now 😂 Jesus fkn christ.
TH-cam : 10s ads every 10 minutes or so. Skippable. Adblockers work 70% of the time. Twitch : 30s ads every 5 minutes. Unskippable. Adblocker doesnt work. Requires subscription to get rid off ads. Subcription costs money. Money came from hard work salaries. Salaries means getting a job. Getting a job means sacrificing free time. Sacrificing free time means less time to watch any streams. This means subscribing to someone is not worth it unless you earn enough and spend moderately and still have time in between to watch subbed streamers. And then there's time zones, which sucks 😂
Relatively speaking twitch is a very small niche platform. The majority of people do not care or do not have the time to watch live streams. The market for live streams absolutely exists but it doesn't compare to a viewer being able to have absolute control over what they watch and when they watch it.
I just miss the times when people made videos for the shits and giggles. Someone doing let's plays or livestreams was just for the sake of sharing the same interests or have their 5 minutes of fame. Nobody did it for the money.
Here's the problem with your conspiracy theory: I get streaming recommendations to the right all the time. When I click on a TH-cam user's profile, it shows me on the left on top the people I subscribed to who are currently streaming. This, to me, is beyond some virtue signaling of "well, you're allowed to stream [but we don't want you to", there are people actively pushing for streaming.
Twitch ads are extremely annoying. Example, I was watching Asmongold's stream of Game Awards and I saw Witcher 4 trailer. I switched to Cohhcarnage to see his reaction because I knew he loved witcher, and I was hit with 5 ads. That's the length of the whole fucking trailer. Luckily he posted videos on youtube so I could watch the vod.
The majority of people watch on Twitch because of drops, but without that, TH-cam is 100% better for the viewer. Being able to pause and rewind the stream is one of the best features TH-cam has. Twitch had that feature in the past, but for some reason decided to remove it. If you ask me I would watch both, but once the drops were done, I would only watch TH-cam.
People forget, we used to watch local television for hours before internet content was even a thing. Every 15 minute there was a 5 minute break with all kinds of stuff. It ruined The Simpsons even. Imagine that, an episode of The Simpsons had a 5 minute break with commercials . What we see on YT and Twitch is nothing in comparison to what the local TV days. TH-cam and Twitch are doing a great job actually. Like 60 minutes of TV was like approx 15-17 minutes of random breaks.
20 years ago it might have been acceptable to watch ads on a TV, guy. Nobody even watches local television anymore. People sure as hell are not going to want to sit through 8-10 ads in a row for zero reason, when they could just go somewhere else. Twitch is NOT going a great job... Time to adapt to 2024 buddy

Correct me if I'm wrong, I’m an adult who doesn’t have much free time. I don’t know why, but Twitch feels too messy for me, and it seems like I have to dedicate myself to the platform just to enjoy it. TH-cam, on the other hand, feels more casual and time-friendly, and I can enjoy it anytime.

why don't you guys just used ad blockers? it works for both twitch and youtube.
Yeah this is wild to me, when I start subscribing to a service the least I expect is an add-free experience.
It's why I'm using add-blockers, if I can't even pay for a decent experience then no thnx.
Oh that’s why subs on twitch are a big deal I never knew that
yeah i wouldn’t sub to anyone on twitch if you watch more than two people regularly since twitch premium is also ad free but with all the youtube premium price increases they’re making that a lot more competitive than it needs to be
I might be in the "old" category (33) but I cant remember the last time I watched a stream.
Im a youtube enjoyer now. A new 1 hour Asmon video will be watched over time. 5-15 min here and there. Love it.
For me that has always been the case. TH-cam has the highlights of a stream.

@@TheStupidDetectiv You and me both.
Any video over an hour long I will automatically speed up to 1.5x speed.
My "watch later" playlist is always piling up.
Theres 2 killing points on twitch streaming that makes me prefer youtube
1: you can get up to 10 or so ads on twitch if a streamer has absolutely no care for their viewers and just wants ads
2: twitch has a weird thing where every so often it resets the streamers set quality to their stream to 1080p60fps which a lot of us including me cannot even load the stream from so you just hope the streamer realizes it and adds the lower quality options
That's weird I have the opposite experience 😅
I always want 1080 and twitch always turns it down (auto quality is off)
Often the streamer has no choice, Twitch will literally auto-play like 3 ads in a row on opening stream without telling you if you have them enabled at all
The fact that you can't rewind during a live stream on twitch while non-stream focused youtube allows this just amazes me.
Twitch deletes vods after some time some vods become lost media and TH-cam allows to archive the vods
When you click on a TH-camrs channel, there could be a Live button in the scroll section next to Top, Videos and Shorts.
Also, Vods on twitch have way more ads, none of which can be skipped.
Haaha I'm also one of those who turn off right away the first time I went to Twitch to see what is all about
They want you spending time more on twitch 😂 instead of find vod you want and watch it
FACT: Your clips on TH-cam are why your followers on twitch are high. Your view count will not drop (by much) on twitch.
I would agree to a point. I do think some people from twitch would move to TH-cam due to it being a better viewing experience, but I only watch clips and vods posted on TH-cam, so I am an example of a new viewer he could gain by streaming on TH-cam at the same time.
I don't think there is much of an overlap actually.
However I think most of people who are watching multi stream from TH-cam are the people who ain't going to Twitch to watch you. If they could stand Twitch, they would have been in it already

Idk if that was what he implied but, same. I don't fk w twitch. It's too goofy.
Stricter DMCA or lack of features (e.g Stream Music) are the only valid reasons to not do that.

it’s very obvious to me that if twitch hasn’t lost viewership from the spike of ads since the removal of exclusive deals (no more exclusive deals mean less money for streamers which means they run more ads) they have at the very least put a massive deterrent on NEW viewers joining the site.
@@asluckdespairs What is the assumption that his Twitch viewership automatically is halved if he would multi-stream?
he doesnt want to get banned from youtube
His counter-point to that line of thought is rather valid (that is, he didn't just "forget it"); Twitch does go with a snowball effect so every channel viewer that isn't actively there tangibly slows the growth on Twitch. Now, that part primarily affects channels that are growing/trying to grow, not well established ones, but the point stands.

Yes. Abandon brand loyalty! This applies to console owners and people that have pick up trucks.
Both TH-cam and twitch continue claiming that they are winning the battle against ad blockers, and even a lot of content creators have been claiming that their new anti-ad blocking software is incredibly effective…
Yet I watch TH-cam and twitch for 6 to 12 hours a day, and I haven’t seen a single ad, nor had any interruption of service ever since discovering those two sideloaded apps.

The point of communication is getting your point across. If no reads your comment because its a short novel it was meaningless.

Do shorts first, that'll inform you on what your videos should be about.
mailman top pay is like 90k after like 12 years in, not bad gig and huge platform for benefits, just sayin
that's about 3 days of streaming
the guy made it in a single 4 hours stream+vod...
Why do they always wear matching shirts? 😂
Asmongold's Evil brother
YOU GOT ME😂
I think Asmon undermines the fact how many TH-cam only viewers he has so I think it wouldn't cannibalize his views in anyway, infact it would only bring his numbers up in general.
Ads in a prerecorded i can understand, but they should never be in a live stream, so i miss something good over an ad
You don't have a lot of new people going to twitch, mostly the twitch culture lovers or people that have been on it for a long time.
2mil kids born a year in US. Not many of the current kids have 100k+ subscribers
Asmon I think you need to realize that most of us on TH-cam don’t use twitch. So if you stream here as well you would actually gain viewers
As soon as I see a ad on twitch I just tab out and don’t open twitch again
Kai cenat was spamming ads more than I’ve ever seen any stream do period, he did that for 30 days 24/7 for a month with a minimum of 50k viewers at night and 100k-400k viewers in the day, now add 700k subscribers and the big brand named sponsors to all that add revenue… bro made beyond generation wealth in a single month.
Zack makes over 2 million dollars a month. It's all relative.
I have youtube premium so I don't have to watch ads, so I will usually use youtube for watching streamers.
@@grantx6 Haha, yeah thanks for the update , guy. I was completely unaware what year it was while sitting with my good ol CRT Television watching Jerry Springer. Let's cross our fingers that it soon will be a good year 2025, buddy.
@@Winamp_ thanks bud. I also hope 2025 is a good year guy
If Amazon Prime wouldnt skip ads, i would never touch Twitch again
asmons got a good formula for react content where he's pretty much just contrarian to everything that he watches and his damn viewers just eat it up
Twitch has an audio only background player; much smoother than youtube. I tend to pick Twitch if I’m working out or walking the dogs while listening…
I hate to break it to you asmon. The people who would watch on youtube would never watch on twitch.
You are just streaming to less people by not multi streaming.
Every person i know who watches thousands of hours of youtube vids have stated theyd watch stream over clips if the stream was on youtube
