Class 180 unveiled at Old Oak Common

The view from inside the Heavy Maintenance Facility (opposite our stand!) at the Old Oak Common Open Day on 2nd September 2017. 180 104 is unveiled in a livery marking the history of the Great Western, while also carrying logos for the Place2Be charity, which will benefit from the event.

If the train is electrically dead, you use the green emergency egress handle to enter this cab.After you pull the handle, and before you slide the door back, reset the handle with your T key.If you forget to do this, your interlock circuit won't be made and you'll be going nowhere

The class 180's look weird in the GWR livery, well, in my opinion.

I don't like how they've only used 2 coaches and then left the others in the FGW livery, I think it would have been better using all 5 coaches. But that is my opinion

Slippery Serpent I wish one of the 800s was in the LOTGW vinyls since all the 180s GWR have are leaving this year. But unfortunately it's too early to see a vinyled 800 and not being in service until October.

I agree but since they're moving to Grand Central, I sort of understand why they haven't gone the whole hog. It'll be repainted in full Grand Central livery anyway once it transfers over.

57305 Northern Princess Bachmann are bringing out a GWR class 166 out, so it should give us something to get exited about!
