After living in Naples and paddling part of your trip many times in the mid 2000s I was waiting for the mosquito report. LOL I could not bring enough Off with me for my trips. I think I saw a few mosquitoes fly by carrying small cars at some point.
This trip was late April, the summer months are too hot and buggy to recommend, fall through spring is fantastic! Late February through April is the busiest time of year so plan well ahead for permits during those months. Come on down and see the Okefenokee!
This is one of those places that is hard to
accurately describe. Its a wilderness like few others.

Is paddle boarding possible
No paddle boarding permitted in the Okefenokee, due to the huge Alligator population, but great paddle boarding further down the Suwannee!
