Hybrids are rated at 226 HP and 258 Lb ft of Torque.
Thats combining the 1.6 Turbo with the 59 HP Electric Motor, for the Hybrid Blue, SEL Convienence Package or Limited.
Plug in Models get a 90 Hp Electric Motor bringing combined totals to 261HP and 258 Lb Ft of torque.
Plug in Models are about 400lbs heavier.
Torque figures are identical oddly enough.
195 LB FT of torque is max for the 1.6 Turbo with no Electric Assist.
I have a 2022 Hybrid SEL Convienence Package.
Absolute blast to drive!

One more thing to note, this model has Wireless carplay, whereas the higher trims are wired only.

Great review! 1 thing- How many lights are in the rear? My 2021 Sportage has ONE on the left side. It drives me nuts at night when trying to unload stuff. Really lame. I hope this has 3, left right and on top.
I don't think any of the tucsons get dual pane side windows, just windshield
Have one and have almost 1000 miles on it. We really like it. We had a Volvo XC90 Recharge and the Hyundai is no slouch. Sure the Volvo had less plastic inside and a much bigger engine but honestly it had too many bells and whistles. The Hyundai has been solid and is beautiful inside and out with the awesome warranty. It has a smart mode which is a great way to drive. But it has Sport, Eco, and Snow too! We love it and it is so much less expensive than the Volo.
I am going to get one in 2027. On a scal of one to 10 how would you rate the quality ride and performance
@@michealterhune1200 tough to say because the ride is 8.5 and performance is 7.5 or an 8. The ride is really nice but a bit of wind noise. The performance is decent but even in sport it revs high to get up the hills.
@@TheGlantzs Do you have to put premium gas in it?
@@CinCee- not to my knowledge. The Volvo they suggested it and it was written on the gas cap to put 91 or higher in. I just assumed the Hyundai didn’t need higher and the salesman said it doesn’t. But I have had less than honest car salesmen before.

You are incorrect about the hybrid configuration.There is only one electric motor and it is attached to the 6 speed transmission. There are no motors at the rear of the car.

Just as good if not better than a rav 4 and way better warranty
you keep comparing this to the Kia Santa Fe, not sure why. The competitor for the Tucson is the Kia Sportage.

There is no spare. Included is a “tire mobility” kit for emergencies.

@@CinCee- with the lack of inventory and high interest rates, I actually went with the Volkswagen ID.4 instead of getting a gas hybrid. Three years of free fast charging plus the tax credit covers any ridiculously high interest I will pay.

@@CinCee- $7500 for all 2023 models of the ID.4 as long as your annual gross income is below $150K (mine is lol, not rich) if you’re single. Like $200K+ something if you’re married/householder
